I have a model number U4343. The bag on mine has a slightly different design and the motor is 4.8 amps instead of yours that runs on 4.3 amps and the fan only has six blades. The body is identical to yours except mine is maroon in color.

I've had the F3700 Sand for at least 15 years. I have only replaced the bags. Thing works as well as it did the day I bought it. Definitely expensive but I think it works great.

OMG, I have one just like this but the outer bag with the stripe got split at some point in its past and eventually it was trash. I used a different bag that I sourced on eBay (text on bag is "Runabout Supreme Triple Filtration") that I knew would fit (21" in length, Type A inner vac bag.) And yes, my machine is actually a Hoover Elite 5.0, Model # U4601-900, but a search online showed me the image of your machine as a screenshot/thumbnail from UA-cam, so clicking on it out of curiosity led me here. From the low-res thumbnail result, I thought I was looking at the identical machine, the Elite 5.0. Hmmm, much closer up in your video, I see that the headlight assy is a bit different than the 5.0; still overall appearance looks so similar. Just fixed it up, too. Now what? Oh, and yes, I agree, the original cord is not long enough, but I never changed that out. This thing is amazing at what it does!!! You want it to clean up, YOU GOT IT.

Not sure if this will help anyone else, but after wasting $140.00 on the wrong trimmer and several hours doing the research, I ended up returning it. Let me explain : This looked like a very good trimmer. Actually looks exactly like my "corded" version that finally gave it up after about 5 years use. So I wanted another B&D but I wanted cordless. Everyone raved about this model. That would be the LST40C. And with a cordless, a variable speed is a must. SOLD! Problem is... The model shown here IS NOT an LST40C. You see, the LST40C is the same model but with no variable speed dial. The actual model # of the one shown in this video is actually an LST36C. Exact same model but with the variable speed dial. Awesome video, and thanks.

I just inherited my mom's rarely used Silverado Deluxe. She thought it was so nice she didn't want to use it instead would sweep and mop by hand. Did I mention the living room furniture we were never allow to sit on and was always covered in plaster unless we had guest?

On my trimmer LST 136 the shaft is coming apart near the locking mechanism. Can that piece be made tighter by tightening the screws?

How many hours are these good for? I found one with 1200 hours for 28 hundred.

I have the gold 2 speed that I bought new in box in 2006... I didn't want a demo. I just went and bought one... I still have the original boxes and everything on it is original...It still looks brand new because I'm so OCD about keeping everything wiped and clean and never let anyone else use it...I just used it today for 4 hours... Im' exhausted...My PN has that same label on it...but I think it has a red reset button on it..... I've really been wanting to get a Kirby lately... I'm just so paranoid about buying one used...

Very helpful video. I have a slightly different MTD. The deck height adjust lever comes through the rear fender on the right hand side but the deck operates the same way. On mine, there is a threaded nut that can be adjusted for the deck engagement/disengagement point. It took me a minute to find it because it’s very hidden but I knew kind of what I was looking for after watching this video. It’s a simple design once you understand it

Where do you attach the hose? I have 3 of these to clean and all came with attachment kits yet there is no place to put a hose. I cannot find a single video or picture online that shoes it either.

I’m one of the only people that actually likes the twin chamber set up. I like it how it is easy to clean since there is no big cyclone with screws, you just turn the filter to get rid of the dust. It is messy, but definitely better than the Eureka whirlwind setup. I was shocked at how well these perform. These pick up so much fine dust and carpet fibers. I wish they offered a longer hose for these or made a stretch hose like they did for the self propelled and windtunnel supreme models. I always prefer the Maytag models compared to the TTI ones. The TTI models look generic looking, and they don’t sound that well compared to the Maytag motors. Sadly my model didn’t come with the turbo brush, but I know the original ones were better. I have the TTI turbo brush from another machine and the brushroll shaft gets clogged easily.

Any idea what this 40th Anniversary XL2 cost back when they first came out? I inherited an XL2 from my mother. It was made in March of '03.

Hi Grayson, I recently picked up a vintage Hoover Convertible, and went to my local homegoods store to grab some Hoover Type C Bags. However, the bags I got do not have the separate spout, so it looks like anything I vacuum up will fall directly back down out of the bag. Any idea what the right kind of bag to get is, is it an older type C or something like that? Thanks kindly!

I’ve got an old gray version of the 230 and it has been the best piece of yard equipment I’ve ever owned. I got it used from a friend and have had it close to 16 years. Used it commercially for several years before getting out of the business. Still works and runs great.

would have been great to know what you did to the starter to get it engaged. I replaced the battery and got the same spinning sound you got when replacing your battery. Did you have to replace the starter?
