I do not believe that these are 2 literal individuals. This is symbolic language and they represent something. I believe, according to Zechariah 4, that the two witnesses are the Old and New Testaments. Lampstand is the church, the seven lamps represent perfection or the seven church ages, and the two olive trees and branches are the word of the Lord with the oil (God's word) feeding the church.

IN YOUR PRESENTATION YOU SAID THAT CANDLESTICKS MEANS CHURCHES AND YOU ARE COMPLETELY RIGTH, BUT YOU SHOULD ELABORATE A LITLE FURTHER AND SAID THAT 2 LEADERS OF GOD'S CHURCH ARE THE 2 WITNESSES THAT WILL RECEIVED POWER FOR 42 MONTHS AND WILL DO THE MIRACLES THAT ELAIAH AND MOSES DID AND THAT THE CHURCH AS A WHOLE WILL BE INVOLVED SUPPORTING THEIR MNISTRY. In the early church, it was known that 666 was the number of Rome. The Greek word LATEINOS adds up to 666. It signifies "the Latins" (Romans). It literally means "Latin Man" (thus, the number of a man). In the Old Testament, the law of God was commanded to be a sign (seal) between our eyes (forehead) and upon our hands. In Revelation, the "seal of God" identifies those who keep the commandments. The "mark of the beast" is the opposite. Those who do not obey God do not have His seal, thus they have the mark of Roman authority (antiTorah). It's just that simple. The early church was persecuted by Rome because they obeyed Christ rather than the Caesar. This carried on into the Holy Roman Empire when Christians were persecuted and put to death for not bowing to Papal authority. The Pope is now the "Latin Man" Christians must refuse. Additionally, the book of Revelation isn't some prophecy yet to be fulfilled in some future 7 year tribulation. Daniel's 70th week has absolutely nothing to do with a future tribulation. Those 7 years were fulfilled from AD 27-34 (the baptism of Jesus, the crucifixion, resurrection and the gospel going to the Gentiles through Paul). That's the covenant that was confirmed for "one week" (7 years), not some future 7 year peace treaty between the antichrist and Jews. That's man's interpretation. We need to stop interpreting Revelation with the modern invention of Futurism. It has caused so much confusion and has hidden the truth of who the beast is. The only way anyone can understand biblical prophecy is if one has the spirit of prophecy. If you have it, you can find the keys to unlock the book. The keys are in the Old Testament.
