One of those words that you just have to use, and fill in the definition. No other way to describe it. “you behave in a way that is appropriate to our relationship” or maybe “you behave according to the expectations of the way your family expects of you” or “you behave according to expectations God has of you”. Even when kings and nations have covenants (binding relationships), Tsedek makes perfect sense in a covenant sense. (As is the example of Tsedek in the case of tamar and Judah genesis).
Tamar knew the lineage had to be kept pure, it didn't say she was a Cannanite because she wasn't. The problem was Judah marrying a Cannanite and having non pure sons. Hence they were killed. Tamar knew Shelah was come of age, why else would she do what she did.? Judah says she was more righteous than him, the same as we are told of Noah and his generation.

Tamar is NOT the great-grandmother of Jesus. There are more generations in between her and him. It's common sense as well. Think of how long the time of Genesis 38 was from the Time of Christ on earth.... Can you explain why you have that in your title? Tamar is NOT the great-grandmother of Jesus. There are more generations in between her and him. It's common sense as well. Think of how long the time of Genesis 38 was from the Time of Christ on earth.... Can you explain why you have that in your title?
