this all falls apart for me as soon as the triplanar comes in to play. Tried it multiple times now but it just seems to ignore any texture and make the material dull, flat and smooth. Please can anyone help??
Спасибо! Мне это очень помогло в моем проекте!
Thank you! You are Welcome
My tracers are jagged as hell
Change the circle to use adaptive or uniform points. You can also add more smoothness on the tracer object by changing to adaptive or uniform. Check out part two of the tutorial which goes into more detail

Having it sim ONLY on your primary display card ( or CPU) is madness. TFD sorted this out over a DECADE ago. Having to update the screen, even when using wireframes, is madness. A cache should simply just cache. And try and cache with velocity..more crashes than a banger car rally.
This video was for for entertainment purposes rather than delving into the simulation system. The best standalone programs for sim is Houdini, JangaFX, Fume effects. As for plugins TFD is very strong from what I've seen
@@BoldBreak Sadly with Pyro coming Jascha at Jawset stop progress on his upgrade to TFD called Reactions. In a few releases Pyro MAY become usable and stable..but I will not hold my breath. Of course I will not know till I upgrade my PC and can run C4D 2024/2025
@@PaulSinghSelhi-VFX-TUTORIALS I always found it strange that Maxon never purchased x-particles or TFD to integrate into the family. Why waste resource on creating a pyro system that isn't cutting edge when there are partners out there already doing that for you. It's one of the few acquisitions that would have made sense instead of Redgiant 😕Sad to here Jawset has stopped progress but from a business it makes sense I guess...
@@BoldBreak Unfortunately though Reactions promised far more control and integration is was simply far to complex and uncomfortable in it's beta form. No doubt that would have improved given a chance to mature but it was not to be. I am looking at Fume FX for C4D and Houdini but I feel sick whenever I open Houdini up. When i get the spare cash for an upgrade I may return to pryo as I am sure it has improved..I can only use the 2023 version.
The 2023 version of Pyro is near useless..atrocious GPU memory management, crashing ALL the time, you have to save after each setting change.
Proud of it crashing ? Pyro crashes CONSTANTLY..we are the beta testers
@@PaulSinghSelhi-VFX-TUTORIALS agree
@@BoldBreak It seems the problem may well be C4D 2023..it has gaping memory holes with simple scenes eating more and more memory..going well over 45 GB sometimes. Pyro itself on 2023 may also be an issue but I suspect basically 2023 is pants. I can just about get SOME pyro out of it and then work with R26 which is stable. But I need to justify the expense of a new rig and then go r2025
you are really great man, ... love the way you explain the reason behind the steps you take... Brilliant
Glad you liked it! Thank you for your feedback
Hey man, superb tutorial! Got a question. Why are we using a matrix instead of just directly linking the tracer to the emitter?
Great question. The matrix object offers an extra layer of control. The matrix object has an effectors panel. This allows us to add effectors. We can also use the data points from the matrix object as ref for more complex setups. Hope this makes sense.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I get regular crashes if I move the hair or change attributes like base or tip thickness with redshift rendering enabled. Is this something natural?
Thanks for watching. A few things you can do. If the issue persists please let me know. Update Drivers Update RS & C4D Make sure the After Effects or Vram intensive programs are closed when using Redshift. Check the amount of Hair strands you are rendering versus the Instances. Some hardware may not be able to render a high volume of hair strands
Whaouu merci beaucoup de partager tout ça,, c est top. Merci

hello bro, i didn't find redshift "costant rotate or sclae" menü texture i didn't find ..can you help me please?
Hey what version of redshift are you using ?
@@BoldBreak version= 3.5.24...but Redshift Shader Graph Nodes; this is not in the menu "costant rotate or sclae "
@@gokhanelmac I'm happy to look at the scene file you. It's hard to see what you are seeing. The Rotate property is in the UV projection. You should be also able to see those options inn the Triplaner node. If you are still struggling to see it send over the scene file.

One of the best ways to complement this workflow is by adding all of the relevant AOVs and checking them independently. This means you won't have to guess whether the noise is coming from your GI, reflections, refractions, lights or other. Flick to the relevant AOV, check how noisy it is and add samples only where needed.
Great point!! This worth exploring in later videos for sure.
Brilliant tutorial. For anyone involved in visualisation and technical drawing this is so useful. Any chance you can do more tutorials that create these graphic finishes- eg wire frame renders, edge renders....not sure if redshift does a cell render. Of course, thats if you have time. Regards
This we can look into!! Thank you for the feedback.

Hey thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I am stuck at one point where I want to connect 2 particles system via tracer. I am following a Tutorial where this person has used Xparticles.. ua-cam.com/video/jQu6GG5G6DU/v-deo.html at around 17 min. can you create this in C4D
Hey!! I can look into if this is possible without X-particles. Thank you taking the time to watch and your feedback.
Big ups kevin o shea
He is such a Diva, always making an appearance
How did you change network wiring style to rounded? in node editor
I think...it comes as default in the latest version of C4D. What version are you using?
Very interesting but many steps to get to something simple. In Octane Render I only need 3 nodes to get the same result.
Octane provides a faster workflow for quick out of the box results. But I've found it lacks the control required for detail orientated art directions. Granted I've not been using the latest version. Octane is fantastic for quick result but I've come up against a wall when trying to fine tune certain properties. Thank you for the feedback and comment.
It was really helpfull - thank you for that tutorial :)
Thank you for watching and the feedback. Delighted it was helpful
this is something all new designers need to be introduced to, I've only learned this through years of work and mentors helping to guide me. great job
@@juwadmalik There is a lack of information on this in traditional educational institutions. But I’ve found that the time isn’t given to designers to provide them with this context. Hi there, been following your content for a while, I got 2 question hope you would answer. 1) how difficult it is for new/junior motion designers to get job nowadays 2) where would i be or how would i be finding freelance work as a motion designer?
Hey, Thank your watching and being a subscriber. The current market is really tough for all Jobs not just Motion Designers. This should not dishearten you though. I was in a similar situation when graduating from university in 2010. It was not long after the '08 economic meltdown and Jobs were few and far between. It took me until 2012 to get a full time design job. Before then I did internships, some bits of paid work, whatever I could get. For freelance work I would first start with LinkedIn. There are so many platforms where you can build an online presence,. Dots, Fiver, Up work, WorkingnotWorking, Vidsy are a few. Keep reaching out to people, network join slack, whatsapp and Discord groups. Your portfolio and network are equally important when getting motion work. I've seen some very average motion designers with a large network be busier than talented designers with a small network. I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out to my email. I'm happy to answer any questions. Good Luck ❤
@@BoldBreak I thought if I could contact agencies motion design and marketing agencies to get some freelance work what's your opinion on that, do you think it is good to reach out for work? Do marketing agencies need motion designers too?
@@KashifAli-oz4rq always a great way to try get work. When freelancing it is common to reach out to marketing agencies. But do be prepared for 90% to not reply. It’s also a great way to pray live selling yourself if you email 100 agencies and you get 5 regular clients out of it you are doing well. Try not to get disheartened when doing email outreach.
@@BoldBreak Thankyou so much for your time, just three more questions. 1) if I try cold outreach asking for job in agencies is it good way? Actually I'll be looking for a remote job not on site 2) How about direct clients how to find them? 3) If I do free brand motion work ( Which I'm currently doing) and send them as a free sample just for an exposure and hopefully landing a job, what's your opinion on that?
@@KashifAli-oz4rq Remote work is an acceptable way of working. I would recommend that you get experience on-site with other designers if possible. You will learn very fast being sat next to other motion designers. Finding clients direct is difficult and requires connections and luck. Do research find business that have online video content. Maybe look at reaching out. The best think you can do is lots of research. Companies that have marketing departments but dont have a full time motion designer is a great start. This is why LinkedIn is a great tool. I would recommend doing free work for companies that are profitable. If you are going to offer your services for free best to help out a charity or local business. Personally I recommend against free work that is not always possible. Free work is worth doing if you can see a long term benefit. Companies that use your services for free are doing a disservice to themselves and designers. There are some video I did on all these topics check out here: ua-cam.com/video/loeiNLqjS8k/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/OGckL_SuEa0/v-deo.html
Thanks, you're good, but the magnifier as a cursor is a very bad idea
Thank you for the feedback, it is no longer used in our videos
Thanks. But u can use also standart material for hairs if u use tag RedShift Object. At least I use it for tracer. I like this idea to use hair position for gradient.
For a basic hair system the tracer is a viable option but for work requires more complexity it is best to use the C4D hair object. Many hair systems requires dynamics and thousands/millions of strands. The hair shader works differently to other shaders. Physical hair has completely different properties to the standard shader such as Melanin.
I feel like you're missing a step, and you're not using mixed colors or nodes to make the car paint reflect on the mixed material
Thank you for the feedback. This is a good suggestion and worth trying. Redshift now has the flakes node which makes this process much more streamlined.
Very useful!
Thank you for checking it out
