Use These 3 Techniques For Putting More Crappie In The Boat

The day started out slow but picked up as we searched for the fish and turned out to be another great day of fishing. We really had to pull out all the stops for this one with a combination for minnow fishing, pitching jigs and trolling with jigs for some nice slab crappie. It was a blast to be out with Noah and Caden as always and we had a great time catching some great fish!! #fishing #crappi...

I've never caught a gar before. We used to see them in South Carolina at Lake Murray when I was a kid, and they were HUGE. We'd be fishing from the bank and these things would come by, 7 or 8 in a pack, anywhere from 2 to 5 feet long. They were terrifying. And I've only seen one black one in the wild. It swam right by me at about 6 inches from the bank. Super clear water, just this black noodle cruising past. It stuck its nose out of the water for a breath right in front of me. Scared me to death. Cool video. Looks like you guys had a blast.

Civil War reenactor here: you used the end that pushes the ball down the barrel. Do not do that. For that reason I use a commercial muzzleloading cleaning kit so I cannot Accidentally put a patch on the ball end -guaranteed stuck. A Rev War reenactor just told me to cut a small hole in a corner of the patch, put rod through the hole, screw on the jag over the patch, and the patch will never come off inside the gun. For air you can use AC unit condensor coil blowout devices that uses CO2 cartridges. You take off the nipple and place it over the hole. The advantage to these is they can be used in the woods or camp as small and portable.

@@maxneu6793 Yes, single and double drop pompano rigs. For bigger bull reds I will use a sliding Carolina rig sometimes with a pyramid sinker..👊🏼🎣

Nice bunch of fillets. Those will fry up just fine. Was that a private lake or public water?

I honestly don't know, I will have to ask him. I think it's public, but it's hard to get to and you have to have 4 wheel drive, so not a lot of people go back there. They made some great fillets, and man I love eating some fried crappie..lol..Thanks for watching brother!!
