Way back Wednesday, in the early 90's, a publisher called MB (DACH division) had a very unique approach to special edition. They sold an "empty edition" of a game. Somehow they managed to forget to put the game materials into the box and nobody realized it till the boxes hit the shelves. This was shortly before Christmas. 🎉

Kudos to Gary! When I saw this topic, “Where the Red Fern Grows” popped into my head! I loved that book!

Thank you for showing us this, Mike, had no idea this game existed. It's incredibly similar to Robin Crusoe, which is my favorite board game ever. Not sure about the "lite" definition, I agree with you. It looks as hard and almost as complex as Robinson Crusoe. All in all, way too similar for me to invest in it since I already own R.C. and to be honest, I prefer R.C.'s board and component art style, as well as all the different campaign missions. Great video, as always! ❤

Thanks for this, I backed the special edition wanting to try a “bigger” solo game and very pleased to hear that the solo allows you to play the real game. I agree that is important. We have lots of puzzles to play and puzzle through with other good games.

I love the Deluxe Editions. They make a great Game complete.

1st Edition Space Hulk quite easy for me to find since it is only like 30 some feet from me. Picked it up at Origins back in 1989 and yes it got me into Warhammer 40K & later Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

I have had almost this exact same experience... every time I leave the house.

I have not played all of these. But I played through tainted grail and etherfields. I enjoyed tainted grail more but the story was difficult to follow and I did get lost a couple times. Etherfields, also at one point I had a hard time unlocking the next set of dreams. I HATED the ending so much that I gave the game away to goodwill.

Saw Shadows Over Camelot! One of the first "hidden traitor" games we ever played.. you would flip the board when you made certain progress.
