    Not flying through games is a good thing. Not fast videos are a good thing. You Sir are doing good things.
    I have serious doubt about the self-proclaimed speed at which some creators claim to go through games. They are either straight up lying or they just scratch the surface.
    This especially applies to campaign or heavy narrative games.
    Great video, as usual.

      @@Biodelic I like doing good things. Let’s keep that up. Sometimes I just scratch the surface if I’m casting wide to figure out where to go narrow and deep. But! I try to do some deep stuff.

    Creature Comforts' solo is a breeze! You just remove a few cards and it's nearly the same thing. Not really an opponent but the theme of the game is to be cozy, so who cares about competition lol IMPORTANT TIP if you play with more players: Get everyone a set of 4 village dice. The person's who is the early worm rolls theirs. Then everyone sets them own Village dice to the same pips. Except for the turn order in the Owl's nest and the Workshop to get cards (which usually people already know what they want to grab from the start so you can do that first or after dealing with all your other stuff), you can go ahead and do all you need on your turn (and then end by picking cards in turn order if that's still not resolved). No need to wait for each other's turn which is the most common complaint about this game.

      @@CG_Hali ya know when I played four player that was the main issue as well was just the length fee game. No complaints but the less waiting the better. Thank you.

    You need to play Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria by Stan Kordonskiy and Endless Winter and Nova Roma as well. I hear good things about Resurgence but I have yet to play it.
    Rurik Dawn of Kiev with Stone & Blade expansion is a top 2 game on my top 10 list. It goes back and forth with Tyrants of the Underdark depending on which one I play most recently, which goes to number 1 then drops down due to playing the other one.

      I will look out for each one of those. Thank you. And the expansion.

    Your 'talking head' videos are the best!

    • @BoardgamesforOne
      @BoardgamesforOne  День тому

      I appreciate that. I worry when I make them but time just limits how much I can add in b roll, so sometimes the talking head is what you get.

    How does Expeditions solo compare to original Scythe solo? I have played Expeditions solo about 10 times and kind of feels like I am doing the same puzzle. Looking to maybe try Scythe, even though I heard the solo is a bit much for the movement.

    • @BoardgamesforOne
      @BoardgamesforOne  2 дні тому +2

      @@danielvanrooyen9602 scythe solo is all about area control, and the AI, does maintain the same priority system, so the variance comes in the random elements of the game and more so, how you play as the AI is reactive to you. That said, you’ll spend your first plays learning how to move the AI. This did true of any area control AI that also explores, so I’d say it’s par for the course in difficulty-for an area control AI.
