    Can I ask you. If you don’t like static grass on bases - if you were to make a new army - what would you do then?

    • @arthyficial
      @arthyficial 4 дні тому

      If I would create a new Army with different bases I would focus more on good looking "soil", using the same texture paste I used to make those tank tracks. I also would add more details to the soil with more stones or whatever the theme of the base would be. I then would use tufts (they are technically static grass, but MUCH easier to handle and they do not fall off until the end of time from a base and stick to LITERALLY anything :D this is my biggest issue with static grass) to make small patches of grass.

    mm new bases.. I see from your griffin that i'm more than one base size behind. The old tin model had a square base and not rectangle.. Maybe it's worth dusting of the old models.. <.<

    • @arthyficial
      @arthyficial 4 дні тому

      Yes and no. So bases sizes changed for The Old World. Most bases changed here. But, that Gryphon is a newer version, introduced in the 8th ed. It's called "imperial" Gryphon and it's a beefed up Gryphon on steroids, hence the size. This one was on a chariot base and is now on an even bigger one. But you can still play a Gryphon as the Empire, it has smaller stats and still the 50x50 base. But it's definately worth dusting of the old models and trying out the Old World. I love it, having a blast in the past months.

      Don't worry, the empire isn't as bad as people say (I think, at least if you play against "normal" lists). Take a look at Demigryphs, or Inner Circle knights. I won't leave the house without them. And you can get some nice synergies going with a Sigmar/Ulric Priest. I will go over some thought that I have on all the units in my collection in my upcoming Army Showcase video. But don't give up, the empire can win. And one just has to love those puffy pantsed little guys.
