Full 1984 Broadcast - Transformers "More Than Meets The Eye" - 3 Part Mini-Series KBVO-TV Austin
Hello friends -
Many of you asked if I had the entire broadcast of the 1984 MTMTE mini-series from KBVO-TV Austin. I uploaded little bits and pieces over the years of commercials, bumpers and station IDs from this 3 day event (and the G1 series in general). Now I figured I'd upload the entire thing and hope that Hasbro doesn't take it down!
Here is the original broadcast in December 1984 from KBVO TV in Austin. The MTMTE series ran for 3 mornings and I recorded each morning with commercials. I combined them all into this one upload. This is from my ancient VHS tape so the sound is somewhat sloshy and the screen blurry and shaking at times, but figured you'd all like to see the entire broadcast from those 3 days. Most commercials are included along with station ID, bumpers, etc. Hope you enjoy! May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you all!
(Autobots, Decepticons, G1, G2, broadcast, independent television, 80s, cartoons, Saturday morning, Armada, Cybertron)

Highland Mall - Austin, TX 1990 - Home Movies
Переглядів 3,1 тис.3 роки тому
Hello Friends - I found some ancient footage of my friends and me being silly at Highland Mall circa Spring of 1990. The audio did not transfer correctly so I piped in some music. This was filmed in the far section toward Foley's (later to become Macy's) near the Gap, Hallmark Store and Food Court (which you can barely make out at times). This was a special place for many mall rats like myself ...

KLBJ 590 AM Radio - Austin, TX 1992 - Election Night National and Local Coverage

Hello friends - This is an odd hodgepodge of audio snippets I captured on KLBJ 590 AM the evening of the 1992 Presidential election (11-3-1992). I think I was creating a project for one of my classes and recorded some of the election returns and results from the evening, I don't quite remember. Nonetheless, here is a snapshot of how the evening went, along with Bill Clinton and Al Gore making s...

This is brilliant and why UA-cam is the ultimate time machine!
Also, on the whole Which is Rumble/which is Frenzy thing.. How did that even get started? It's very obvious at 13:46 which is which 😊
The Original toys were Red Rumble and Blue Frenzy, and in "Heavy Metal War", the Decepticon computer even lists Rumble as a Red Robot. But G1 is infamous for rushed production, so mistakes were made. I think the Official Hasbro Answer is Comic is FIBRIR and the Cartoon is RIBFIR. But I also think that Hasbro likes to screw with their fans sometimes, so it's whatever you want.
When you think about it, all Megatron had to do was NOT revive Starscream - no Autobots on Earth, no Prime, no interference. Somehow I think that Screamer wouldn't have hesitated to leave his leader lying deactivated had Teletraan randomly revived him first rather than Skywarp.
Could you please post all the episodes of this series that you have (as they originally aired) in full? The dvd releases of this series are all awful imo, would love to watch it as l remember it looking and sounding.
the DVDs have been fine since 2009. Shout factory's is as close to broadcast as we've got outside of forigne releases using the original TV Masters
Could you possibly put up the full episodes of the original Transformers series that you have? Would love to see the original broadcasts of any episodes you have.
👍
This blew the minds of kids everywhere
It Begins Here! THE ENERGON UNIVERSE!
you are a legend. Thank you
Literally a historic day, thank you so much for uploading this, absolutely made my day!
I love little clown of happytown ❤
This is where I go to school right now! 📚🦇❤️
I had a chance to swing by that campus recently, it's gorgeous! Hope you're enjoying being there. The area that this video was recorded in still exists, I think it's building 4000? Same escalators and upstairs / downstairs area. Like a time capsule. :)
I love this. B93 also used to have a custom We Built This City. In place of the San Francisco DJ talking part, it said: "We built Austin Texas on Rock and Roll. Hottest Hits B93." I can't find it, though.
Oh wow, I remember that too! I'll have to dig around and see if I can find that on any of my old tapes. I'm still digging through my boxes so stay tuned!
@@broadcastblast544 That would be amazing! Thanks and thanks for the memories of B93.
Seeing Transformers alongside essentially Looney Tunes, a Charlie Brown promoted Cheerios commercial, G.I. Joe, and Go-Bots…peek 80’s beauty!!! 😍😍
Thank you for this and all your posts. Native Austinite here and I crave any old school footage of Austin. I have yet to see any Barton Creek Mall home movies or footage from the eighties though. Anybody know of any? Just subscribed to your channel today without hesitation.
Thank you for the comments! I am hoping to dig up some more mall footage in my archives, no matter how small it may be. Stay tuned! God Bless!
TRANSFORMERS! MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE!
Given that the last few seconds of Dark Awakening feature Victor Caroli speaking over the original ending advertising the Return of Optimus Prime, at least that portion of the recording comes from sometime in/after February 1987.
at the time you could usually get a hand job off the mall rats for $10 or in exchange for a bit of weed. im im talking a real hand job right to the end where you could cum your custard.
I heard a song once that at the end said “let’s keep it going with dj _____ on KO93” do you have any idea what this may have been from I’ve been looking for the original voice clip for so long
I remember when my ABC station in Youngstown, Ohio (WYTV 33) did a new 3 part mini series called The Transformers in late 1984 - the first 2 days, it prempted "Happy Days Again", the third day, it prempted "He Man and the Masters of the Universe". We we're all in shock.
5:40 Wtf!? That caught me off guard. It was really just like that back in the day huh?
Nuuuumber ooooonnne...
HOOK ‘EM HORNS!! Burnt orange as its primary uniform colors of the Texas Longhorns!! 🐂🐂🐂
I worked at Highland Mall theatre in 1991. Cape Fear, Aladin, and JFK played at that time. The boss was a former cop from Dallas-nice guy but kinda of a hardass. There was a hot assistant manager-forgot her name? Good memories.
I saw tons of films at that theater, great times!
I REMEMBER THE LAST MOVIE I SAW THERE WAS 'BATMAN' AND BEFORE THAT WAS BREWSTER'S MILLIONS, LOLOLOLOL
I JUST SAW MY STORE, JW!!! WEELL, BEFORE I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO WORK THERE, LOLOLOL.
I’m From DFW but I love listening to old 80s 90s airchecks , I visited Austin once almost 10 years ago it was awesome
Can you upload the good morning news or the good evening newscasts on KLBJ in the 1990s or the WOAI San Antonio area
6:50 Disney on Ice at THE Frank Erwin Center, tickets at UTTM. UTTM was a Ticketmaster franchise, but The University dumped Ticketmaster a few years later and changed to Texas Box Office. Now the Erwin Center's replacement, Moody Center, is going with Ticketmaster.
Fantastic I would love to hear a key 103 or a froggy 94.7 Aircheck
I'd love to hear 105.9 Jammin oldies.
Living in Bakersfield I remember the first season airing on weekends oftentimes alternating between Saturday and Sunday.
When KLBJ 590 was CBS Radio, an affiliation dating to the 1940s when the station was KTBC. It became KLBJ when KTBC-TV was sold about 1973.
8:14 Before Creamy Creations, H-E-B's ice cream was Royal Maid. 8:20 Longtime KVUE anchor Ron Olivera. 24 Action News was THE news to watch in the '80s. 10:36 local version of ABC's "That Special Feeling." 17:07 Hancock Center then was an open-air mall anchored by Sears, Dillards and H-E-B. The Dillards closed shortly after they bought Joske's and took over their store in Highland Mall about a mile away. Hancock was later redeveloped into more of a strip mall with a relocated H-E-B, but the Sears hung on to the end. By the way, that old Joskes will soon be the new home of Austin PBS, KLRU, as Highland Mall is being redeveloped as a campus of Austin Community College.
BEE 93 USED TO JAM!!! I BELIEVE THEY WERE LOCATED OFF OF NORTH IH-35 BACK IN THE DAY!!
I think B93 was on Braker Lane. The station began in Killeen as KLEN (with a DJ named John Aielli, before becoming a fixture on KUT) and then KIXS before the tower was moved closer to Austin as owners shifted the station's focus to the larger and more lucrative Austin market. It would later see a succession of format and call letter changes, and change its city of license to Cedar Park.
When in January 1987 was this? And do you remember what time of day this was?
I'm thinking it was later in the month (maybe the 3rd week of Jan?) because there's a Super Bowl ad on there.
WE NEED MORE OF THIS, I USED TO WORK AT JW FROM 96-99!!!
I'm hoping to find more footage in my archives. Stay tuned!

Does anyone else have Mr. Gatti's Pizza's phone number forever imbedded into their brain like I do?
B93, KLBJ, K98 Those were my childhood.
I remember being little by radio listening to the countdown of songs of the week.
I lived in Austin during this time. This really took me back. Thank you for posting this.
Could you do the same thing for The Funtastic World Of Hanna-Barbera as well?!
Holy damn. This is literally in my child hood time frame. The days when 6th st was still clean. You could literally walk around st night without a problem. Leslie was still alive and running for mayor. Man, times have changed.
Omg I remember Leslie ! What happened to her ?
@@Chelle51288 passed away unfortunately :(
I miss those days too :)
I Love That Song 🎵LA Bamba
I had been looking for something like this for a very long time...I was a kid during this era but music was my life...so hearing this station once more is a gift to me...Brings a tear to my eye...Those were the days...unfortunately we cannot rewind the time..
I Love This Song Stand 🧍♀️By Me
Is it possible that you could upload (maybe to a filesharing site) the entirity ( or close to it) of this tape in decent quality? i'd love to use it for a project
So "Transformers" premiered on KBVO TV 42 Dec. 17, 1984 at 6:30 A.M. temporarily replacing "Bugs Bunny and Friends." I miss the old days of syndication.
hi, do you have any news/talk radio from austin in 1998-1999? thank you!
Nice!
Awesome air check!!! Cyndi Lauper was off the chain!!!
What's with the random Press Your Luck clip at 5:35?
