I'm a big anti-fan of any type of uragaan, an ugly monster, with mid mechanics, and bad armor sets in terms of looks.

Kushala being this low is a crime honestly. And it is probably very telling of the audience too, most likely being filled with people who only experienced it in World. Its design is awesome, some might argue kinda boring since it's just a steel dragon, but once you look into the ecology of it (which is incredibly interesting and unique) you realise important design elements in it, such as its wings' and mouth shapes. It also just looks menacing and imposing. Its music theme is imo one of the best in the franchise, especially World's rendition, and for sure iconic at this point. Realistically speaking, the ONLY thing I could fault it for is its fight, and just World's because before World Kushala was fine to fight. It was actually rly fun in 4U when Rusted Kushala attacked Dundorma. In Rise and Sunbreak its fight was simply amazing, probably the biggest upgrade a monster has ever seen fight-wise (maybe Amatsu and Fatalis take that title actually, but they're final bosses so it's natural). All in all, considering its only major flaw was specifically its fight in World, I will claim this placement unjust.

Not surprised Kushala felled down about a 100 places when you give everyone unlimited votes. On oroshi kirin I would have loved to see in Iceborne honestly it would have been a perfect fit. On monoblos either one they need to do something different so their not considered reskinned diablos combat wise by the community. On black diablos yeah she hits hard and honestly one the most scary fights in world hands down.

Hate almudrons hit boxes

Glad to see Aknosom in the top 150, I don't remember what I rated this bird but weirdly enough after Monster Hunter Nows introduction of him into their game, I honestly like him alot more. Don't get me wrong I liked Aknosom before, the almost dance like way he moves around the battle feild and the long sweeps he does with his wings gives him a really fun personaility. The bouncing fire balls is kind fun. I think what maybe brought him down really is the game he is in, Rise makes it so so very easy to just dodge every one of his moves, at least that was my experience. His armor has always been top tier in design and I just love the design so much. Also glad to see Barroth and Royal Ludroth so high aswell!

Me and the homies hate Kushala! In all seriousness i think half the problem with Kushala is that he has been in every game since 4 and at best he is ok and at worst he is an abysmal fight. If he skipped wilds and sat out for a game or two and then came back with an overhaul then I think he could easily become one of the best monsters. But for now we must live with his sins fresh in our minds.

Royal Ludroth's placement is surprisingly pretty high. As it should be. He's one of my personal favorite low rank monsters in the series. Amazing design, satisfying to fight, and I just love his little seal noises he makes when he spits out blobs of water. Especially the charging move. Royal Ludroth is simply a spectacle of endearment for me and he's just that kind of friend to have that'll always brighten your day. Also side note, I like to call him Ludgy lol

Hmm, interesting group this time around. Personally would have put Kushala much lower, but I am biased, and surprised Aknosom was above Kut Ku. Didn't expect to see a subspecies of Tetsucabra this high either, don't think I ever fought that one. Also was nice to see my comment on Blackveil, one of my more succinct statements I think. 104. Narwa the Allmother - a better Narwa, but hard for me to recall much of the differences 103. Great Wroggi - a nice pack alpha with some oddly amphibious traits 102. Lucent Nargacuga - interesting idea, and a decent fight, but didn't live up to the hype 101. Lunagaron - switching skeleton structures mid-fight is technically impressive, but feels like two decent monsters instead of a single good one 100. Pukei Pukei - a solid Bird Wyvern, good early game fair and design 99. Gravios - a giant rock wyvern that looks intimidating as Hell, but didn't love the fight 98. Paolumu - weird to look at and fits its environment well, sadly the fight isn't that memorable 97. Royal Ludroth - a great introduction to the Leviathan category, and a unique pack structure 96. Rathalos - the first flagship with solid armor and weapons, and an okay fight 95. Glavenus - a really interesting idea for a monster embodying one of the weapons, but hoped it would be a more entertaining battle

Oh cool you used one of my comments. I would say, after basicly studying the fight, Hallowed defining change is, he nearly allways attacks whit very strong moves, the Belly Flop, or frontal attack, but he only does so if he was submerged fully before. Therefore its easier to predict his patterns, but more punishing, if you mess up. / But how the hell did Deadking got so high?

Barroth is so weird, i simultaneously am happy with his placement and very sad. I LOVED Barroth in Tri but the more they used him the less I liked him, he just doesn’t feel the same anymore to me.

Some big surprises in placements here. Very sad to see Kushala Daora fall so very far. That was undeserved, especially after how good a fight he got in Rise/Sunbreak. On the flip side, Berserk got some great vindication. But I think my happiest moment was seeing Narwa get a massive elevation! Her ranking in the favorites poll was absolutely criminal. Very glad to see the Thunder Serpent rise from such an abysmal situation.

That hurt seeing Kushala immediately followed up by a redundant subspecies of a siege monster lol. Really wish he ge got higher. While the fight took a while to become actually good, he's got my favorite Elder Dragon lore and ecology. And it's not like the other Elders in his trio didn't have middling or bad fights until a recent game too. Teostra specifically I DESPISE in 4U and GU. Either he or 4th Gen Silverlos is my least favorite fight in the entire series. I can't decide which. World and Rise fixed Teo, but so did Rise for Kushala, and yet he got left in the dust. Justice for Kushala! Happy to see Royal Ludroth at the top of this video. Fun fight, good ecology, great design he's got everything you'd want from a low tier. And he's cute too! I wonder how much more cute he could look in a Christmas hat?

I tought Rise's iteration of Kushala would've helped it more, oh well... first flagship to go down (we don't count Azure Rathalos too much, right?). I just noticed one thing tho... did people overrate Dodogama again? I think it should appear tomorrow to be in a fair placement, but like... Yian Kut-ku and Kushala below Dodogama? Are we sure about that?

Ibushi is in my top 10 favorite monsters and a nother monster I’m really happy got some redemption. It has so much going for it and contrary to some others I’m not even really sure why it placed so low in the hunters choice poll. I love that it placed a lot closer to Kushala this time since it was pretty sad how one of the Wind Elders got left in the dust when it should have been able to blow the dust away no problem. But YOU don’t want to get blown away by cold winds. I don’t think so. Well, your in luck! The right headwear might just do the trick.

At the very least this time, both Ibushi and Narwa aren’t as low as they ranked in the offical poll. Now are they still overshadowed by All-Mother? Yes, but they were my first elder dragons, so I have this fondness of the couple. We may not see them again for a good while, but I’m happy to see they have left a good impact. Also, I resonated with the segment about Barroth, he was my first major wall when I was getting my feet wet in Rise. I love the mud puppy.

This is just a random thought i had during the BoB segment, but... Where the hell does he get his pinecones from in the Shrine Ruins?

I didn't have the courage for some reason to say it in the poll (social anxiety from online interactions???) So I'll say it here. I. Love. Lunastra. She's my favorite monster in the entire series and always will be. I know, crazy. Why? Well, as ashamed as I am to say and as much as I like to pretend GU was ACTUALLY the first game I played....it was World. Shit was challenging at first for a newbie, duh. But I found the insect glaive and after that match made in heaven (before I fell in love also with hunting horn) and after Anjanath....it was kinda not that bad. It was still rough at points, but it didn't get as hard. And as I got better and better, it only made that fact worse. At the end of it all, I felt like World was too easy. GU was more fun to me, and it is still my favorite game in the series. I haven't finished 4U on my galaxy 3DS that I love so much, but it's amazing. Iceborne was much better, but before that, I was still having fun but felt a bit bored after a bit. Just a little. Then came Lunastra.....and she kicked my ass. She spit in my face, called me a useless cunt who knows nothing and deserves to be tortured before being put down like a diseased dog, and left. It was awesome. I never felt the way I did in all of World the way I felt when I was fighting Lunastra. But now I feel stuff like that pretty often every monster. I think Lunastra, yes, that late in the game is the monster that finally made it all click for me. It already did click, but now it fully came together. I was gonna be an addict for life, and Lunastra was the one who gave me the heroine. Her design is amazing, much better than Teostra simply on color. I like colors in reverse rainbow order, so purple is my favorite and red is last, but I do love all colors, so it's not that I don't like red. Blue, lots of blue. Perfect. The fight is hard, hard as fuck. Fire everywhere, wind pressure, tail that now kicks you in the shins. And that heatwave. It was glorious. Now, after fighting her more than probably any other monster, I know her like the back of my hand, and now it's the easiest, most natural fight for me to do. But every time I fight her, I still just feel so much affection for her, so happy to be fighting the monster I feel I owe it all to. People hate her for her difficulty, but I love her for it. She was what I needed to love Monster Hunter as much as I do now. I will forever hold her at the top, and I wish she would come back completely unchanged because she's perfect and that would be hilarious to witness once more. If World was the last time I ever see her again, at least in her peak form, until they bring her back and change her a bunch to satisfy the mob.....I would tell Lunastra thank you. Love you forever, empress of fire 🔥❤

I'm very surprised to see Lunastra's placement. I've always loved Lunastra, often more than her red counterpart particularly with the gorgeous blue colour scheme giving her such a regal, entrancing and ultimately menacing look plus I enjoy blues more often than reds. Teostra is far from a pushover but Lunastra felt like the first monster to make me play by her rules the entire fight rather than just respecting a few moves or state changes, It truly felt like I was fighting in the queens domain. I get that some of the wind stuff and lingering flames can be annoying, but I'm surprised people thought Lunastra did well. She absolutely deserves a place in the top 50 along with Teostra in my eyes, I don't care what some new world hunters think.
