Hi Janet!! 😂🎉❤
@@AmyPalatnick Heeeey! Hope you are having a great day!
Neat tool, and I love the technique of throwing the clay after it's attached to form the end shape! Gotta try that.
Awesome!! Have fun!! (And try not to stress…it’s not easy!)
This is truly one of the most challenging aspects of my Pottery business.
I've watched you now about a month, and went back into some of your archived videos, and just feel that you are one of the best potters I've watched. Congratulations on the win. How much clay did you start with?
Aw thank you! These were 3#. I hope there are more people like you out there!! 🎉😂
🎉🎉🎉Congratulations Amy! I had confidence in you every step of the way💯🙌
Aw thank youuuuuuu!!!
Pure awesomeness 😊 so proud of you!
Aw thank you Janet!!!!
Это какой-то конкурс?
Yes!
Sorry I missed you.
Next time!
Hi Amy. No stress by calming. Good job I hope people see your technical. Kleanthis from Greece 👏🏺
It was great!
You did it! My hero!❤🏺😊
Awwww thank you! 🙏🏽
How was it?
Great! I had a blast
Haha thank you friend!!
Would you please share name and cone for the clay your using. Thanks
The clay is called Klamath Yellow, from Seattle pottery supply. The yellow color is from yellow iron oxide. After the bisque, it’s a gorgeous orangey rose 😍😍😍. The body turns a rich reddish brown at cone 6. (Copy/pasted because I get this question so often!) But I don’t recommend it anymore for functional work because it doesn’t vitrify at cone six. I will be transitioning to a new clay body soon-ish.
Just as soon as I’m through with this ton…
Wow ! Keep up the great work 😊 hope you have an amazing day ! 🙂
Aw thanks! You too!!
What kind of bat system do you use?
I have several systems but this is just a regular old falling apart masonite bat!
Let me know if you want to know more about the different bats I use. It’s kind of a long answer so I’m not gonna say it if you’re not even listening lol But I will tell you that my absolutely amazing partner recently made me some MDF bats, and I am thrilled with them! 😍😍😍
Oooh man! I need to check this out!
Oh my God, you would be the best student! Are you on my email list?
@@AmyPalatnick no! How do I go about that?
@@janetlarue1231 on Instagram, just send me your email, or you can email me at amypalatnick@gmail.com !!
I’d be stressed if I was in a competition with YOU!!!! You will be awesome
Haha thanks. It was actually fun!!
I love how you are intentional to breathe through each step. I hold my breath and yeah, we know how that works out. 🤪😂 Broccoli rubber band. Love it!! You are full of grand ideas!
Yay!! Thanks janet. Yes, i am always breathing!!
As usual, wonderful! ❤ Amy, what are you doing your decoration with on the rim, please? Thank you! 😊
That is glaze trailing! I use a thick version of my glazes in a bulb syringe. I will film it next time!
@@AmyPalatnick thank you! ❤️👍
@@marinavern274any time!
🤞
😬😬😬
I am so excited about this for you! I will be cheering you on! You've got this!❤
Aw yay!
Your voice and laugh are beautiful 😊
Awwwww go on 😂😂😂
How did you get into pottery?
When i realized i didn’t want to go to medical school! I was in college and the pottery studio was like a magnet. Thanks for asking! 🙋🏻♀️
Does the butter bell keep the butter soft and spreadable in winter too please? 🙏🏻
Yes! It keeps the butter at room temperature, so as long as it isn’t too hot or too cold the butter is perfect!
@@AmyPalatnick thank you 🙂
Thank you aware of this
Hi Amy i watch the video and remember my teacher in pottery school. Sorry for my poor English. Have health. Kleanthis from Greece. ❤🏺
Very sweet!!!
Gorgeous!
Thank you!!🙏🏽
I love your videos so much. You are a great teacher!❤
Aw thank you Janet!!!
How does it look after firing?
Really nice! Lol i will try to include more finished pieces in the videos
😍
Hu!
Hi 😎😂
@@AmyPalatnick hi😄
Congratulations! What a nice space!
Omg so blessed!!!
種族衝突
What do you mean???
Olá você está utilizando engobe?
No, just regular glaze 😊
You deserve it!
Aw thank you. 🙏🏽
Omg i know! It is a huge blessing!
Love it!
Omg this studio is MWAH!!!
Really like your pottery, good work!
Aw thank you!
You make it look easy but I imagine it took a lot of practice to get the technique *just* right.
Yes! Still sometimes it’s awkward-the glaze needs to be just right. 😬
@@AmyPalatnickHi Amy... Do you measure the specific gravity of the trailing glaze? Have you ever used it over a glaze?
@@richardruckert7954yes i do use them over other glazes, but i don’t measure specific gravity. I just do it by feel-there are some videos about it, somewhere! I will make another one soon!! 😊
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G !❤
Awwwwwwww 😊
Inspiring! ❤
Yay!
Loved it. Four minutes, six seconds, nothing but class. Stared way too hard at the spiral, but.
Haha glad you enjoyed it!
Awesomeness
Aw thanks! 🎉
Lovely shape!!!
Thank you!
It kinda looked like the curious George hat upside down and I find that silly haha
Haha yes it would make a good/weird hat!
They all look so beautiful!
Aw thank you!🙏🏽
Makes sense to me!😊
Not rocket science, but i hope it’s helpful to some people! 🎉
OMG it worked!!! 😮 Thank youuuuu
Every time!!
move to ny and hire me to glaze
Haha now that is an option i haven’t considered! 😂 though i am slightly maybe thinking about letting go of some control and letting my partner try 😬🤷🏻♀️🙃🫢
😍
Home stretch!
I love how you use the one rib for everything. ❤
Such a great tool! I normally clean everything up with a classic loop tool afterwards, but didn’t show it in this video 😎
