It blows my mind you didn’t mention at the end when the daughter walks away that the two old men in the background are in the beginning of the film at the party !!! Like that’s a fact. Can make your own ending there but literally the director intended for those actors to be in that ending shot, just should have been noted is all. Anyways nice video

One thing noticed about the episode. When Corey returns to the camp at night, and drinks a lot of water, Donlin asks him if it's hot out there, and it made him thirsty. Given that it's the desert, and likely not winter, once night hits, the temperature would drop down to an average of around 41F, 52F at most.

Balkan tells Telfer what Liana got up to in the covens (he would know). Telfer is heart broken and agrees to sell the book to Balkan to spite Liana then kills himself in grief. Thats how Balkan gets the copy and why Liana has no clue the book is gone.

🔺️🔺️🔺️ If you study the LIFE and MYSTERY of Glen Miller, you have Johnny Liebling right there.... he faked his death to cheat LUCIFER, was assisted in creating a monumental enigma to make a clean getaway and to resurface AFTER the ceremony, just like "HARRY".... of course a personified "Lucifer' doesn't exist, but he believed it DID, and he gained meteoric power and energy through coming into contact with a subjective autonomous partial complex that he believed to be "The Devil".... toward the end of the PACT, even Eisenhower couldn't convince him there was no objective DEVIL... Miller was fretting and wasting away... so under the cover of the fog of war.... they hatched a plan to outwit "The Prince of Darkness

There's one cut during the satanic ritual, when Balkan talks about the devil (I think he calls him Lord of Darkness), and it cuts to her standing on the gallery. This alone has me convinced she's the devil.

Finally somebody commented on Bills character. I find far more interesting than the cult stuff is the fact that these two "people" are so misdirected by life. Both completely unaware of their actions or their betrayal to each other. Bill is only moral when its spell by numbers morality and Alice's obvious obliviousness to her own sexual power shows both of them quite clueless in life. Sure they have status but lack most everything else. Shallow as they are even in the end when they are "awake" they still got a LOT of growing to do....I hated Nicoles character as I mistakingly have dated women like this in the past where they throw up all their proverbial hairballs and yet hug on me at the same time. Gross. I think both of them were actually quite gross as people and I think SK did this on purpose. He may have even been playing with them as they were the premiere power couple at the time. (Maybe not). Still the implications are staggering at how distorted man and womens views are to each other and this is the point I think Kubrick was trying to make of the move. HNY world!

This is why i didnt liked it ,because of the end .The whole movie is very mysterious and for me the "over the top" supernatural element of the ending ruined the mystery ,an ending like "Angel Heart" was better, subtle and horrifying when you think of it

There's a lot going on in this movie, however, I do feel that the last theory you talk about in this video is accurate to the film. Aside from the evidence you showed, there is another key scene that you left out. After Bill is crying on the bed from finding the mask it cuts to a scene where he and Alice had obviously been talking for a while. She had been crying which is out of character for her. Why would she cry about Bill not cheating on her when earlier in the film after the party she didn't care that he was about to cheat on her with the two models? So she's obviously crying about something else. The people at the the mask party told him there would be dire consequences for his family. Despite that threat, he shows up at the house again and gets the letter. I believe that the letter told him that he had to trade either of his wife or daughter and it was changed in post-production. I believe the conversation that he and Alice were having (after finding the nask) was them discussing giving the daughter away. During that conversation she is not crying at all but had evidence of crying. However, as soon as Helena is mentioned, they both start to cry, as if guilty and sensing the loss that they're about to have. Finally, in the toy store they are emotionally disrant from the child and then totally ignore her walking away
