Chevy Silverado Evidence of NEAR Catastrophic Failure! Day in the Life at the Shop! Sometimes when you're doing a repair on a vehicle, you uncover a lot about its past! We see evidence in this Chevy truck that it had a near catastrophic wheel bearing failure at one point in time! we also did a quick oil change on an Acura MDX as well as applied fluid film to that one. Just a day in the life of ...

Great filter for regular interval oil changes
Yup totally agree
Happy New Years stud! 🥳😁
Happy new year!
I'm a day late but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! Your TT looks like a lot of fun. Wishing you a prosperous and healthy new year.
You as well! Better late than never! P.s. check your email!
Heat and wax!
I’ve had wax work wonders before too
Looking at the baseplate and holes that one looks like a fram

Love ya too man! Happy New Years thanks for Watchin!
Happy New Year!!! 🎆 🎉
You too Dave!
Awesome video man. Love you dude happy new year
Love ya homie! Happy new year
This worked for my 80 sereis. I changed the front, but used this for the back . I poured whole bottle for 4 hrs of run time or 150 to 200 miles . I added it when my oil was almost ready to be changed. It took 2 cycles of usage , but leak is almost stopped , around 90 percent . I will do it 1 more time. Great product.
It’s a fantastic product. My old man has 2 80 series! And we used it on one of them as well
PLEASE HELP I have a 04 Jeep grand Cherokee rear main seal leak pretty good leak do you think this is worth trying cause some people told me not to use sealers because it can damage the engine?! I don’t have the money to take it to a shop I always work on my own vehicle but I’ve never tore a transmission out before.. and how much would I use just 1 bottle or more or less
This is the only sealer I would try. Most are junk, this one works and will not damage anything. Won’t hurt anything. Amount instructions are in the bottle. Good luck
@ thank you!! I will try
Happy new year!!!
Happy New Year brother 🙏
Happy New Year to you as well!
Honestly I wnat you to try and warrenty it I wnat know if you can
I did
@ sick
Hyper Tough at WMart is a high impact for $99/kit. 3 year warranty but it’s wmart. They’ll replace anything if it’s a house brand.
I saw that! Seems like hypertough is to hart what ryobi is to milwaukee
@ yup. The 20V Hyper Tough is 100% compatible with Klutch batteries and chargers. Klutch is Northern Tool’s house brand. Their 8ah battery costs as much as the HT kit. 😂
What about Standard Blue Streak Ignition Coil On Plug (COP) - FD503? Junk ?
Havent personally used
What you use doesn’t matter as much as how long you use it. Change your oil frequently and you’ll be ok
I do agree with you, but some are better than others. Push comes to shove inferior parts with regular servicing is better than great parts that get neglected
I’ve used SuperTech in all my vehicles. Never had a single problem. It’s cheap, but good. Not crap.
Yup! Nothing wrong with them
Spray and soak overnight with a 50/50 mixture of acetone and ATF!!!
Used that truck before! Works well
Nice Mercury .
Thanks man, love the old girl, got a few goodies to finish up on it, she frequents the channel
Best get an old 4x4& not deal with that kind of bs to begin with..😂
Lol they’re good rigs, I do love my 4x4 tho
Wow 😮
Nice ans crusty!
shouldve went for the fancy titanium ones and you wouldnt be complaining 😊
lol nah, not on a 300,000 mile truck I paid 1200 dollars for years ago lol
What's the dam hammer got to with that!
I tapped on the starter first
What you do ?
Explanation is in the full length video, mice chewed wires under the fuse box so I jumped the starter relay to power. Then after confirming I fixed all the wires
The MP version (blue can) is as good as mobile1 . Period ! Silicone anti-drain back valve , metal endcaps and synthetic blend media. It has excellent filtration and excellent flow rate. Compares very favorably to the Mobil1 at less than half the price. SuperTech full synthetic $18.99 for a 5 quart jug and SuperTech MP(blue can) $6. That’s $25 dollars for a synthetic oil change if you do it yourself. You’re good to go for 5 to 6 thousand miles. 2007 Honda accord 6 cylinder coupe and just cracked 200,000 miles. During the warmer 6 months I use the high mileage full synthetic and during the colder 6 months I use the regular full synthetic. Not one drip and she purrs like a kitten.
Good stuff!!
Where tf is the part 2
Time man, time…. They’re on the roof withstanding the elements, wouldn’t be much of a test if I pulled them in after a couple weeks
I can drive to at least 22 stores within 30 miles just by a quick search. In all my years I have had no issues warranting anything at Harbor Freight. The knife is a hot ticket item, it is what it is. Sending a tool out for service takes at least a month.
Must be in a huge metro to have that many that close wow
What kills these turbos?
LAck of oil changes is a big one
Wilton's are overpriced and this one is too. I will stick to the true blue cause I own 2 and they have served me well and then budget too. Neither have broken for my needs and I have owned many vises. Most have too much slop and are mostly made the same. Looks nice though.
If they’ve worked for you, I’m glad! I’ve been really happy with the Doyle
They will still honor the warranty if it's been dropped. Ur good man :)
I did get a new one! Merry Christmas to you man ❤️
Painted an item then put a clear coat on and the paint wrinkled
Probably didn’t wait long enough for the color to flash (from my experience) the color is still outgassing and it’s trapped under your clear if you apply too quickly
Don't use junk coils? Then why do you suggest using Ford OEM parts? Whenever a part fails it will always say FOMOCO on it
The oem coils will work a lot better than Amazon or eBay coils will
Question when I’m doing this when should I be worried that the RPMs are too high because I don’t want to blow up the engine
It shouldn’t be revving up that high
@@shiftwrenchrepeatit goes up to like 3 12:00 center
Who cares about that pos icon knife. Thats a $20 knife at best if under a different brand. Only cheapest knives still use D2 steel.
That wasn’t the point of the video the knife was just an example. Merry Christmas
Good for another 50k
150k
The bed liner looks good. I think the more you it the better you get at it. Let me know how you like the duratech wabbly sockets, i dont have them but i have all of there open end/ ratcheting wrenches and i really like them. Also I like all of the content. Need more turtle content. Clean his tank too
Thanks man. So far those sockets are good!
Great video!
Thanks! Really appreciate it
Could you please explain the type of trans fluid you are using ? I’m a first time Toyota owner and I have a Tundra CrewMax TRD 5.7 . I have been told Toyota is VERY particular about its brand fluids . I just need to know before I do what you just did here
You can use the same process for this or the actual Toyota fluid, this was BG auto trans fluid which cross references with the oem Toyota fluid. You can use either, and the same process applies, I hope this helps!
As a ford man and a 7yr long tech im tell you the best way to do these make sure thay motor is hot and use a impact they will come out every time i had a 3v with 300k on it still ran great
Yup I know that trick!
Usually works, “usually”
Wow... the heavier socket worked... imagine that.
What??? There’s no socket in here? What are u referring to….
Thanks for the idea. I will have to try that next time I apply it.
Hope it helps!
Totally agree with your friend's perspective. The advantage with having friends in a certain business isn't the deal, it's the trust that you aren't going to get screwed over on price and they will stand behind their work. My attitude dealing with any business providing a service (automotive, electrical, roofing, etc.) is I am happy to pay a fair price for quality work they will stand behind.
Yup absolutely! Huge peace of mind
Are you making more money than you did at the dealer?
Yeah by a long shot
That thin layer of fluid film would never cut it in my country. We need to treat exposed areas with a thick layer of special wax/oil products and spray all cavities with a product similar to fluid film. To keep the rust away, it needs to be repeated every second year...
I did go inside all the openings. And there’s a lot on there
Nice job putting an Aisan kit on a flipper. That's good karma
Couldn’t in good conscience sell it thinking it was A) a cracked up belt or B) a cheap a$$ timing kit
Pliers handle coming off? Take it off and put some Indian Head Shellack on it and push the handle back on!!! It's an ol' timer trick that works. Hope you're keeping the turtle warm and send some snow Tennessee for Christmas!!! Would taking some scrap cardboard and wrapping it around the exhaust keep the fluid film from coating it and stinking? Funny that you are replacing a CV shaft because I need to replace one on my QX56 over the holidays! Oh yeah, don't get the Indian Head on your hands....
I’ll give that a try! Scared I’ll get it half on and it’ll get stuck 🤣🤣 Shop turtle has a heater in the water, and he’s in the office area not the actual shop so he’s good! Tried the cardboard thing, depending on the car it usually just gets in the way… in some cases it can help
Good investigation skills. By the way its "tell tale" not tall tale.
Know what I meant haha
