2005 KTM 640 Adventure R - Overview
Barn find at 4400 miles and 20yrs old. Last revision of the legendary LC4 ADV bike. 340lbs, 55hp, big ass dirt bike.
Note: If buying an LC4 based bike, avoid models with black engine covers. The ones with grey, shown in the video, have upgraded high-flow cylinder heads. This increases oil flow to parts of the engine prone to failure in the earlier (black engine cover) LC4 models.

2002 Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4 Review

2002 Big Bear 400 4x4 Green. I needed a SMALL, 4x4, work-capable ATV. I was set on either a Honda or Yamaha. An old Big Bear 400 popped up on marketplace with 400 miles on it. Listed for $2100 with a plow, it was solely used for plowing a small driveway and annual hunting trips. I negotiated to $1800 and truly got a creampuff condition ATV. If you look up Grumman Canoes you will find "Marathon Boats." Sadly these are no longer made to anywhere near the same quality as Grumman did back in the 50/60s/70s. This model has the deep keel, standard 3 rib support, and two seat layout. The previous owner never touched it and let black mold grow all over it. The decals suffered the same neglect and flaked off long ago. I wanted something to...

Awesome addition for camping, removable and more versatile than the attached awnings I have found. Takes a few mins to set up and take down though. With proper guylines and pegs it is a BOMBER awning for downpours and storms. Heads up poles are fiberglass, so that’s where they cut costs.

      Nice profile name haha! So 10 miles at max assistance on hilly terrain are up 40% of one battery. I get about 40-50 miles on max assist on hilly dirt roads. I could see this bike easily going 100 miles + on pavement, on assist 1, in non hilly terrain.

    • @rippinrogers
      @rippinrogers Рік тому

      I have not tested it. It advertises a 7hr run time. A more traditional type generator may be better suited to you than this one that’s encased in plastic. You could add a larger gas tank to the older style ones easily. This one not so much

      Likely a Load range C or E tires in the same size. Options are limited in C, Grabber ATX or BFG K02s, but would be a more comfy ride while being sturdier than these SL rated tires. If i do go with Load range E, I think itll be too rough of a ride. Well also see what sales are going on in the spring.

      @biz4twobiz463 2 роки тому

      @@rippinrogers ... agree, Load E would be to stiff. But, if you don't need anything more than the SL, then stick with those. It's not like you can (or should) overload ur vehicle anyway.

    • @rippinrogers

      @@biz4twobiz463 Thats the thing thats a little odd when using the SL XL C D E F rating to compare. I've seen load Range C tires with a 113 load rating. And then these tires in the video are SL rated and have a 115 load rating. So while both are above the stock 108 load rating, the C range tire, which I would assume is capable of carrying more weight than the SL tires, is rated to carry less. If I were to gt a Load Range E tire the load rating will likley be 118/121, all these load ratings are at max tire pressure and i doubt ill ever run any tire over 40-50 psi.
