Hi Andy Lonicera Nitida ( Honeysuckle ) are great to work on I have some very large and small trees, they are a pruner’s heaven as they as you say grow like crazy, they are very brittle so need to be careful, if you snap a branch but it is still attached you can glue it with super glue and clamp it and it should be fine, they can be a bit iffy with wire but they should be fine, stick the cuttings in bottle of water and before you know it you will have some more, I have done this with a branch an inch thick a few time and it has rooted, takes a bit longer to root but it will eventually. I have a doner bush in the Border which I let grow so I can take more thicker branches when I need them. Good luck with yours Andy.

This is pretty cool! Is Halloween a big thing by you?? I didn't think it was in England. It's my favorite holiday to decorate my house! Even over Christmas!! I love it! My house drips with Halloween decor!
@@lisawagner6076 haha No it’s not massive over here, but we like to do a bonsai Halloween themed. It’s a bit of a giggle. I’ll bet your house looks amazing 👍👍👍
I just ordered 2 Azalea plants for bonsai. One is a 2 toned flower. I can't wait to see flowers on them. Could you have waited till after the flowers died off before pruning?? What would that have done if you did? Will those cuttings root?? I love that piece you are working on! Have you seen the works that Attila is working on over at @Fangorn Bonsai ?? He has some really cool stuff I really think you will like. Check him out if you have not seen his stuff.
@@lisawagner6076 hi Lisa Good luck with your new trees. The flowers don’t last long and they start growing seeds from the same place, which is waisted energy!! So if you trim hard back after flowering the tree will grow more branches and leaves and the following year more flowers, cuttings are successful so yes you can use them, I do follow Atilla he is a kindred spirt, he makes some cool compositions. Thanks for watching Lisa 👍👍
Nice trim up on the Azalea bro! The master piece is looking great! I hope those teo little buddies pull through good for you bro. I think mocing them into a more moist soil was a great option!
Nice work man, that azalea had some awesome flowers!👊

That is one great looking idea setting with the azalea. A work of masterpiece with the boat and the man.
All looking 👌 good and growing healthy. Love the waterfall idea. Keep up the good work Andy 👏
Thanks Chris 👊👊👊
Good to see your thinking about where you went wrong mate on the tanuki. Once you learn the technique is will be a piece of cake
Thanks Paul 👊👊👊👊👊
Looking great Andy. truthfully, I have never deliberately stopped a flowering period with my azalea. Rather than wire I would prune some of those taller branches baack further. Then, when all the new buds start popping in a few weeks time you can let them grow a little and then prune off to the ones you actually want for next year. Next year just let them go until flowering and repeat the process to make the branching tighter and more compact. I have found wire pretty ineffective in my garden. Either way, loving the show :)
That’s great advice xav thanks mate I’ll take note if that Thanks 👊👊👊🙏
Wow the flowers look so beautiful . Pot is jst perfect for it❤
Thanks Carlos 👊👊👊👊
Feed it hard now and it will grow mad, I always say I’ll give mine a year off flowering but I never have yet and it hasn’t missed a beat. If you do want to de bud it, get the timing right as it could confuse the tree if done too early and severely stress it.
Thanks Darren mate 👊👊
Great video, cheers
Thanks nerina 👊👊
Great video, Andy, mate. Loving that boat! 😊
