What to do with your Christmas tree after Christmas?
Turning your Christmas tree into a bonsai is a fantastic way of making sure your Christmas trees survive in the future
     1. *Prepare Materials:* Gather a suitable bonsai pot, well-draining bonsai soil mix, pruning shears, and a chopstick or similar tool for maneuvering soil.
    2. *Select Trimmed Branches:* Identify the branches you want to pot up. Ensure they have been pruned properly and have a healthy appearance.
    3. *Prepare the Pot:* Place a layer of bonsai soil at the bottom of the pot. Ensure there are drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
    4. *Position the Tree:* Carefully position the triple trunk tree in the center of the pot. Adjust the angles of the trunks for a visually appealing arrangement.
    5. *Add Soil:* Fill the pot with bonsai soil, ensuring it settles around the roots. Use the chopstick to gently work the soil into tight spaces.
    6. *Watering:* Water the tree thoroughly but avoid overwatering. Ensure that excess water can drain freely from the pot.
    7. *Aftercare:* Place the newly potted bonsai in a location with appropriate sunlight for the specific tree species. Monitor moisture levels and adjust watering frequency accordingly.
    8. *Monitor Growth:* Keep an eye on the tree's growth and health. Trim any excess growth to maintain the desired shape.
Remember to research specific care requirements for the particular species of your triple trunk bonsai, as different trees may have slightly different needs.

    Nice work Andy.
Here in the States we have a saying “More busy than a one armed paper hanger” or “I could take you with one arm tied behind my back” I think we could modify that to fit your current bonsai situation.
You actually get more done with one arm than some do with two. Hang in there and get healed up soon. Rest is the answer. Don’t over do it. Thanks, keep growing

Great work on the roots. Pruning and taking your time figuring out your creation of this tree shows a lot of thought and patience, working with one hand. Superb.

I like your new intro Andy, it’s never easy to turn this type of tree into a credible bonsai especially with a broken arm, so I wish you luck with this one you have made a good start,

      Thanks Joe mate.
They are a difficult tree to grow, but I’m hoping this one will be alright

Nice tree. Buying the potted trees at Christmas time is twice as much as if in spring. With all the decor on them jacks up the price. This is a mighty fine looking tree that you are working on.

I liked the green one after you cut it.... about the tie dye one sleeves... maybe cut off more on the top side up to the shoulder so your cut isn't straight across the sleevebut more of a diagonal say an inch at the bottom and more like 4 on top. Youve got good arms and artwork... get a little gayer and show your artwork off too!
