So who's real estate mafia is "reshaping " Toronto? Dough's?! Terrible. Five high raise buildings are build in my neighborhood at the same time. Half of those finished are empty. Hopefully the real estate market will crash soon.

*well done video* - thanks - having lived through some of this a few years back i learned of other variables [ like Section 37 bribe money, Real Estate Investment Trusts {REITs}, "Special Relationships", and good old M.Z.O.s ] and also how -- "$ometimes" -- the deal is a done-deal from a back-room with no real recourse.

I live on 1:57 oak street 😅 it’s kind of funny because the same thing that happened in the 40s and 50s is happening to region Park right now. In fact, there is a community consultation meeting about amendments for Regent Park phase 4 and 5 which would be directly across the street from my apartment.

greatest selling point is the built in bookcase & double bathrooms with walk-in showers. biggest detractor is the half glass panel coverage in the bathtub; there must be full coverage so water doesn’t get on the floor like that your shoes are off.

I love this unit. You could do so many things with the massive terrace! And the two bathrooms in the primary bedroom is genius.

How many 3 and 4 bedroom units are they going to build. The city is full of studio and one bedroom units that very few people want for more than a few years. Families need somewhere to live.

What’s really concerning is that there is already very heavy traffic in this area. I’m not sure what the city has in mind but they should seriously consider extending the 509 streetcar eastwards because this area is currently not connected to downtown by public transportation (I believe that there is a bus going through but it’s not sufficient to meet the upcoming demand). Secondly, I agree that the planned high density risks ruining all green spaces in the area. The city should aim for bigger units and affordable units for families. Bigger units and townhouses would presumably decrease density and bring a different demographic to the area. My 2 cents.
