This video has nothing to do with CPI. The U.S. has always had a higher CPI than Canada by quite a substantial margin. Canada and the US had nearly identical increases in CPI, year over year. The difference is Americans don’t need to go into a debt level that is higher than their annual salary in order to afford that basket of goods.
