The Power Of 3D In The Palm Of Your Hand!
My name is Thijs. I am a Dutch Blender artist who loves sharing his skills and experiences with everyone wanting to learn Blender, specifically Geometry Nodes! In Blender, I like to create realistic-looking renders with a touch of fantasy.
Some random things about me besides Blender:
- I am really into mathematics and other theoretical stuff! But this you might have noticed in my videos ;)
- My favourite music genre is Rawstyle and Uptempo! For the non-dutch audience: I recommend searching these styles on Spotify or UA-cam it's amazing! I am curious what you think! :)
- I like doing sports. It can be a lot of things! :)
- Humor with a dark tone is the funniest!
With this channel, I want to provide you with fun Blender tutorials!

Blender Sword Trail Tutorial for Beginners: Quick and Easy
Amazing!
I did it! So cool! Thank you very much! Very understandable and great pace! I love the tutorial!
great bro
dope!
That's great! I've always been a fan of math spaces!
What a genius solution! I’ve tried so many times to make a working Rubik’s cube but the independent twisting on each axis was so hard to figure out. Your method is magnificent! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
Nice work! thank you 👍
am I hallucinating or does this dude looks exactly like Mapal (youtuber) 😐
I have found my clone ;)
Came for the cube, stayed for the smoke. Fellow blenders, that cube is cool, but anyone that’s tried making that smoke knows the real challenge is that puff puff 😂🧮💊
I've got to watch the complete video yet, but the beginning definitely amazed me: let's create a Rubik's cube so let's start with the default cube, delete it and add it again through Geometry nodes. The Geo Nodes version of the "delete the default cube, add a cube" meme. Pure awesomeness!
Haha everything better than the default cube ;)
@@mtranimation after having seen the complete video, I must say it's a great walkthrough. Very informative, your style is really clear and your knowledge of Geo Nodes is outstanding. I always wonder which kind of background all of you working so easily and smoothly with Geo Nodes have (you, @Erindale, @Xan3D, @harryblends, and all the rest). I only know @CGFigures, which also does great things, is a scientist
@@mtranimation eh eh. Now after having seen the whole video I must say it's really good. Your style is great, very informative and packed with lots of knowledge, plus you have an outstanding Geo Nodes knowledge. I always wonder which kind of background you and all the other great Geo Nodes creator have (@erindale, @Xan3D, @harryblends, @cartesiancaramel to just name a few). The only one I know is @CGfigures which is a scientist and that tells a lot...
The aliens will never understand the blenders doing this odd behavior…like WTF did it do to you…maybe just move it to the side, or scale it down, or hide it…😂
Homework....Rotate in the middle row.😅
Haha you could do that! Or rotate two opposites sides ofcourse :)
And lastly, I wonder if it is possible to create a "container" like a C array or a Java array something like [0........0] where I can store things to pick them up when needed? I mean with Geometry Nodes. The whole thing is just brillant but... For instance, the scale by the result in the function @22:08 is just a switch. Why not use a switch that would make de code easier to understand, edit AND maintain. 😉
Job done. Very interesting. I went on Internet and I am going to try something like that with a z(x) = a.cosh(x/a) equation for the curve then put points on the curve and see what the day will bring.
Amazing video. Thanks for the awesome tutorial! ❤
Thanks you very much and you're welcome! :)
Very nice; thank you!
Thank you and you're welcome!
The colors not being in the right order pains me.
😍 Thanks for the tutorial
You're very welcome!
My brain burned
Mission accomplished! ;)
Reminds me of Andrea Ciani's video from half a year ago. But I like your version where you determine the sides by points better than his where he just enters values.
Thanks a lot! I indeed tried to make it as easy as possible :)
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences! I've got only 1 question - how do you know all that? :)
You are welcome! Well, I got a simple answer for that: practice, practice, practice... Fail, fail, fail... Practice, practice, practice... Achieve!
That's a very great life moto! Good luck! And new achievements!
new mtr video new node knowledge
keep up the good work. also i dont know how to edit an comment soo im keeping the comment on replys hehe
Haha thanks a lot! You can make as many replies as you want! :)
great tutorial thanks
Thank you and you're welcome!
I really appreciate the progression of your tutorial.
Thats very good to hear thanks! :)
Excellent work! Very powerful!
Thank you very much! :)
Great video as always! this could be the best tutorial to show off new "switch menu" tutorial. you could use x,y,z switch menu and expose it to the node group to keep one group and modify axis from exposed menu option. right?
Thank you! You probably could integrate it indeed. Whether it makes thing easier for the workflow or not is something to figure out :)
@@mtranimation yes, you are right! I saw it on your nodebook and was wondering someone will use it soon. when I saw your video I said to myself damn that's my man he's gonna do it now and I was sad :D just wanted to mention it cuz it's new it's good to get used to it.
how about using houdini?
I'm sure there is a way of doing it in Houdini too, but I leave that up to someone else ;)
Just translate the same steps in Houdini @carpediem5348
"A multiple of eight", but table of eight works.
Very nice thank you :)
@@mtranimation No no. Thank You. Great tutorial.
@@mtranimation "table of eight" probably comes from multiplication tables.
Aey Bro! you said that next time i will make chain breaking more impact effect
Oh no! I meant that you can find that in the extra video in the link in description of the chain tutorial :)
Great fan of your tutorials. I am doing this one now. Do I have to do the parameters by my own wits? Egad, that's frightening.
Thank you! For this tutorial, I prepared a startup file which contains the parameter node group which you can find in the link in the description!
@@mtranimation Thanks. I am doing it now. I have a few questions and I seem to be the first one to ask them so here they are: At 07:58 Instead of setting the end points with the method you use is it possible to do it by using 2 Set position nodes just after the one we work with, setting the end points 1,0 and 0,1 at the left and right empties position respectively? Would it make any difference afterward? I really like to understand everything so: As I see it the left and right attributes could be Booleans. So your method is to say that if the left attribute is 1 the position is the empty position and for other points it is their position. When you add the two mix you get a float/Boolean that is 1 0 0 0 … 0 1 along the 30 points. Did I get it right?
0:57 broo my ico sphere cant event set with the empty plain , the sphere dont wanna move along with the empty plain
Damn this is impressive ! Thank you
Thanks for the tutorial, I'm having an issue trying to create the flowfield inside the mesh by converting to volume and distributing the points within a volume. It seems the points don't have the same ID data and don't work with the ID node. Any ideas?
謝謝!
This is awesome, thanks for sharing
i also hate that he doesnt make things flush and connect everything together its just random numbers and "oh thats about right"
that card is 9 feet tall and that really bothers me
Thanks, it's very interesting. But at some point the chain stopped breaking. Even if you pull it off very hard. And it's so much fun. I found a point on the spline, changed it in one place, missed it, and the chain stretched like rubber.
I found a point on the spline, changed it in one place, missed it, and the chain stretched like rubber.
can the rain bounce of objects. or will i need to use collision ?
This is insane dude. Thanks so much!!!
insanity!!!!!!
“Totally easy” he says… Awesome work, awesome brains. Kudos!
me the mechanical enginner using blender and watching this, absolute genuis.
I'm struggling with the boolean (difference) node, faces are not closed anymore, maybe there is some changes in blender, I'm using 4.3.
my brain suddenly started emitting bubbles o.O
