Did KelTec Fix My P15? FINAL UPDATE! (Part 3 of 3)

To be fair, it is possible that Herter's purchased Winchester brass and loaded it themselves, rather than packaged Winchester ammo as their own. Don't kow! #keltec #ccw #p15

A Visit to the Cody Firearms Experience (Shooting a Gatling Gun)
KelTec innovation, answering questions no one asked with products no one asked for. The most shocking thing about this video is that after showing all the "features" you still want to carry one.
Well, it is a carry gun designed for that purpose. You don't have to like it. However, I will say the thinness and lightness of the gun combined with the sights, trigger and capacity make it very appealing for that purpose. What features do you think are not useful for the purpose of a carry gun?
Please stop bouncing back forth ,stay with one, then the other. Thank you
?????
AG assembled my holster without any rubber washers...
Sounds passive rather than aggressive.
Maybe just buy AR next time and save your money, I am saying it as a Czech who really likes Vz 58. 😀 BTW, US style rear sight (O) is pointless when it is kilometer from your eye, the same with red dot on your upper handguard. Maybe it's better with proper holo sight than with basic red dot, but still....it's weird and yes, I tried, it kind of works, but it's big meh compared to optics close to your eye. This is actually one of main reasons why Czech military switched to a new rifle, Vz58 is a great and reliable weapon, but it's from 50s, they didn't think about some optics.
My used 9 mm carbine required stronger springs to function. My new .45 ACP function right out of box. A striker ejection is found in the .25 ACP baby browning and other guns. I think there is at least one SMG that uses such also. Good to know about the striker breakage issue. Also stay away from extended magazines in the highpoint. they have a poor reputation for function. 10 rounds is enough rounds. I am a bit older than most and grew up with 6 shot revolvers and 7 & 8 autos. But I admit to carrying compact 9's that hold 15 rounds. By the way I like your presentation and will try to see more of your videos.
Seems like a cool gun. I have a love hate relationship with Keltec as I’m a fan of their guns but look at them more of a challenge to get them working as they usually have issues lol.
There's a lot to like about this gun, but it's not for everyone either.
If it ever breaks, you can braze it together again, until it's entirely braze alloy.
You are probably the only one I have ever seen that likes hi points but it's kinda hard to get to 2 or 3 hundred rounds when it won't fire hi points are junk you are better off to put a little more money in a firearm and get a kel tech at least.
Please provide the time code where I said I like Hi Points.
I just shot mine (first handgun as a 21yo btw) and I think these complaints are coming from those that grip the gun too tightly. I thought that because this gun is a light micro-compact/compact I’d really have to grip it tight to control muzzle flip. Doing THAT I did experience ONE accidental mag release, before I found a better grip that keeps the muzzle flip down more and is less tight, alleviating the magazine issues.
The echelon didnt have a problem. Some of the mags were put together incorrectly
Have had zero problems out of the box. Just had to get one for shits and giggles… What do you know it just continues to run.
Its still a piece of garbage kel tec
I had the exact same mag problem as you. I did not know why it was and figured the mag was improperly made. I guess I was wrong about that. However, a few minutes with a dremmel toll fixed the mag problem. It's not very difficult to do at all.
What Cal. Is The DP51? My DH40 Is 40S&W
9mm
How's The Accuracy? My DAEWOO DH40 Is Lousy! Must Be A Barrel? If Your DAEWOO Is Sited In And Accurate Will Your Barrel Interchange With My DH40?
The accuracy is mediocre, I believe due to the intentionally loose tolerances.
This is a very high quality pistol that never fails to function. It flat out disapears iwb under a t shirt and is laser beam accurate at any realistic combat distances. And, this is a 2 position ONLY safety, there is NO "HALF SAFE" position. If yours is exhibiting this "Half Safe" you need to have a proper gunsmith fix it. This is a great gun your dissing it shows your serious lack of experience.
Where did I say the gun was unreliable, inaccurate or difficult to conceal?
My 10mm worked flawlessly out the box too
i think u have some valid points but i think one of hi points big let downs is the 10mm doesn't use glock mags
I believe HP tried to redesign their guns to take G mags, but it didn't work. They'd need to start from scratch and redesign the entire gun. Maybe that would be a good idea. I dunno.
you've got some odd choices, competing with a h point😂
You can find these for around 200$
🤨🤔🧐NRA😎AOR
trigger might be to light 😂😂😅
U need to get more guns!!! I don't own a 15 but like Ur reviews. I have Glocks and a P11.
You are right on point sir. Having a magazine release hanging out there for accidental release is dangerous, not tucking them in tight. More internet “special” forces guys.
What fraud clickbait nonsense lured me to waste my time seeking to learn if Liberty ammo, (which I carry) was possibly damaging a Keltec p15 (which I considered purchasing because I just saw it priced at $249). However the title subject was never broached and all we got was a gobbledygook of meandering faux reverse engineering attempt to pee on the Liberty round. So all that said, thanks for nothing, fool me once…
Just got mine today. Other stuff going on today, so I will field strip it tomorrow. Looks very easy. Thanks ! 👍🤗😎🎸
Thank you. Outstanding video. Buying one on Black Friday for $219
Thank you. After seeing the details, I agree that it is a piece of crap with poor QC. I noticed and diagnosed it without knowing the gun. As a reviewer, he is testing out of the box, and his observations are valid across the board. I do appreciate the tips and tricks you provide to improve something that should, at minimum, work out of the box.
I have always called the hook thingy, a "Dolls Head"
Good job!
Piece of junk
My wife has a P15 metal and it’s been solid. We have about 250 rounds through it no malfunctions
I had one of those. I ended up cutting a ring or two off that spring. It did as I expected, in that the trigger pull was super light. I don't recommend that. I was aware and always practiced proper trigger follow through, but my modification made it pretty easy to accidentally double tap if you didn't use perfect trigger control. The single action trigger pull was way too light. Like, look at it with intent and it would go off.
Thanks for your insightful video! You're well balanced in your response to his video. Great job, man!
Congratulations to Keltec for their new way to recycle Joe Biden's poop filled diapers into this new pistol. It's their best work so far.😂
Street prices are always double or better
Really? I recently saw the polymer version on sale for under $250 here in the US.
@firydeth from Boston Massachusetts all street level guns are exuberantly priced, still get sold though
I'm from the Academy Homes ran through the whole NE. Now, in the south now, prices are crazy up there, and yes, they still get sold on the streets, was the bad guy on the streets buying them in Boston
So much wrong in this video. The side screw DOES adjust windage (left/right). I’ve adjusted mine a few times. Also…. When you put the back strap on…. You HAVE to use the safety extension. It’s hard to take a gun channel seriously when they’re missing 2-3 components tight off the bat.
You are correct about the windage issue. That is a mistake that I made that is corrected in multiple videos I produced later. You're very confused about the backstrap and the extension. If the grip safety is disabled, as it was when I was firing it, there is no reason to put the extension on. As I found out later, the malfunctions were all due to the chassis being out of spec, and the slide parts not interacting correctly with the frame parts.
Nice video! My short and long mags were hanging up if I pushed the mag in from the bottom rear tilting it forward. If I push the mag upward from the front-bottom the mag is tilted rearward and no problem with hanging up. Definitely the lead front edge of the magazine was hitting a 90 degree corner of the aluminum chassis. I used your advice and went for grinding a 45 lead (by about 1mm) in this with my Dremel and a tapered bit. It doesn’t look very professional but now short and long mags load with no problem.
So how did it destroy your p15?More click bait to get someone to watch. I will avoid any other videos from this person.
Where did I state that it did?
Break with the past is very likely
@firydeth Could a C9 slide function in place of the 995's breechbolt? They look very similar internally save for the 995 having 2 extractors.
They're pretty similar, and one wont fit on the other. The 995 bolt is larger and heavier because the barrel is longer and needs to be delayed during the extra travel time.
@firydeth If I were to SBR my 995, cut and crown the barrel to 5-6 inches, do you think I'd have to cut some coils off my recoil spring for reliability? In your other video showcasing the intricacies of the C9 pistol you did a comparison with the 995 and C9 recoil spring, I noticed that the 995 recoil spring was indeed longer but the coils had longer gaps between them than the C9 spring
@@Beachhead88 Wow, I have no clue. I'd leave the springs alone and see how it worked first. If it didn't, I'd shorten them a little at a time until it functions correctly.
It doesn't look like he's having a good time shooting at the range. That gun looks like it's fishing to jump out his hand, almost like he's shooting a 44.
Well as I explain in a few videos, the grip is small and the barrel is long, making this gun very flippy.
I did was a great move
Whats up with that head jerk when you're shooting haha first guy?
That's the reaction most people have the first time they shoot this gun.
Straight up question from a highly tactical guy. I love Ed Browns and HKs, here it is !!! If you're vehicle gets stolen or broken into and HP is gone, you crying??? If you , God forbid, defend yourself and Leo takes your HP firearm for months or years, you gonna cry??? Boat sinks while duck hunting, HP sinks, you crying???? Get my drift???
Yeah, I would carry this C9 with 147 grain flat points while hiking. If it fell in a lake an got all rusty, no big deal.
That is meant metal because they have different handles
possibly.
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO ANALYSIS! I hope somebody showed your video to Mr. Garand Thumb.
A lot of these guntubers are like lot the car channels. Stey start off bragging about their 99 Camaro and now need an extra garage for their Lamborghini. Then they tell you that you shouldn't settle for anything less. Thumb is no exception. I eatch very few big channels now. Theyre either making fun of something or selling you something.
Love how the head jerks back when he shoots😂👍
The first time shooting this gun is a little surprising.
I have 995 over 500 rnds no problem love the carbine
