What I don't understand is why didn't UDO include a ribbon controller with the Super 8 to begin with? The space is there for it. A big oversight for me as I'd buy one with, but certainly not liking the DIY look on an expensive synth.

Like the wave morphing idea, but this is not wave morphing, it's just using the fader to glide between two wave shapes, you can hear them overlapping. Like the panel layout, it reminds me a bit of the old (mono) Yamaha CS30 from 40 years ago with sliders instead of knobs...There are other aspects (the ribbon) that are very CS80 too. Bit annoyed that the camera focus of this video won't let me read the panel other than the module names. making it hard for me to tell what is really available here. ( i like to work synths out for myself).

This is a really powerful instrument. Kind of perfect UI/UX combined with modern electronics. It can do a lot when played by skilled person.
