Exactly what depression sounds like.

A very good ballad with an organized instrumental reminiscent of something that has already been played but with its own personality, congratulations!

(Not trying to brag but) A girl sort of pursued me for months, even when I straight up refused to reply to her texts (I had my reasons). But her relentless barrage of affection finally caught me off guard and I gave in to her advances. She's probably the most beautiful, intelligent, witty, playful and optimistic girl I've ever come across in all my years of existence. After a month of talking and being on the receiving end of her pampering, I realised I was not enough for her. She's a concept beyond me. She's an existence I would love to embrace forever, but I won't be able to justify it to myself. And this is killing me. On days when she gets busy, I palpably feel her absence. We've met only twice in real life, but, just by existing, she has helped me in ways I cannot imagine. I am honoured to probably be the only one who has the fortune to receive her love and kindness with a touch of romance and playfulness. However, I am scared of losing her. I'm scared of the mental and physical state I'll be in if and when she leaves. I haven't confessed my love to her yet, but I love her immensely. I want to be a part of her life, not the other way round. I want to feel worthy of her affection. But I know these are pipe dreams, for we live in different worlds. I don't have the energy to fight for what I want. I'm an exhausted soul through and through. And I want to disappear. Update: Looks like it's over with her.

this song is so amazing and the lyrics are so incredibly relatable as someone who's struggled so long with depression. especially before the "I barely remember anything before my twenties" part, that hit me so hard...

thank you, my cat and I used to listen to this album upon its release. he has since passed, and every time I come back to this album it reminds me of him.

I'm 33 now and I'm not depressed like I was in my teens and twenties anymore, but Casey will always hold a place in my heart.
