As long as both are mentally healthy there is no reason they cant continue the way they are. They need to not have conversations behind closed doors. Plus there are plenty of retired living places. Nursing homes isn't always the answer. They need to have a conversation now with what the parents want there last years to look like but thats all. My dad is 81 and still wont tell me what he wants. Ive tried asking but as long as hes capable i have to trust that he and his wife have it covered. Im not entitled to know his business
