No, if anakin let windu live he would’ve turned anakin to the council and discuss what palpatine said that “he had the power to save the one he loves”. They would’ve figured out anakin had a baby with padme and he would’ve been banished from council and would no longer be a Jedi.

Thank you so much for fixing this. This has been a huge problem. People who don’t know the novelization don’t understand that there was a screw up in the editing process for this scene. They were still working on Anakin vs obi-Wan and unfortunately this slipped past George Lucas. I’m sure that George is so analytical about it that he doesn’t even notice the timing being slower than it was supposed to be. I was just trying to defend Mace Windu on a poll. Sadly due to this production error during the release of Revenge of the Sith, people don’t understand how incredibly fast this was. Palpatine killed 3 Jedi Masters in under 30 seconds. Thank you for editing this to show what actually happened

To make the Force Scream easier to notice, the 3 masters should have been bleeding from their ears.

I mean they literally fought at the speed of sound, so you literally wouldnt be able to see anything except for blurs of light.

Realistically honestly and technically this should’ve been the strongest Lightsaber battle throughout revenge of the Sith throughout the entire Star Wars series really. Excluding the sequel trilogy. It said I had to say that but they try to shoehorn that series throughout all the books which is not good. Yeah I get it realistically it would be very difficult to make a Lightsaber battle on par with that level, however because it would look just like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-gonnJinn at the beginning of episode one using force speed. But that is Mace Windu‘s and Palpatine’s s natural combat speed. The reason why we didn’t get the best deal that should have been which was Windu versus Palpatine. For two reasons. 1) Yoda vs Sidious. 2) Anakin vs Obi-wan. I had heard they made a really great fight scene original cut with Mace Windu vs Palps. I’m sure you’ve seen that deleted version on UA-cam, which is amazing. However the reason why they didn’t go with that original version which is really really really dope. It’s because it used more of the stunt actor of Palpa teen versus the actual actor himself. And so it wasn’t till like the last day of shooting that or closer to the last day shooting that instead of using the star actor George Lucas wanted to use the real actor. He didn’t wanna do CGI face modification and editing. So all that beautiful Lightsaber choreography they’ve done for weeks just kind of went to waste. Also in the original version of mace Windu versus Palpatine, you had Kit Fisto put in far more work. I genuinely love that because it solidifies that he’s a top-tier elite duelist he’s one of the top 10 duelist route the entire Jedi order which is really dope. Also it would’ve been really dope to see Plo Koon in this fight. Unfortunately we know it was his destiny to die. But he and Ted would’ve been the last Jedi to survive this battle b4 their death. With the exception of Master Windu.

I admit that part of me did wish Anakin became a Jedi Master and enjoyed the rest of his life with his wife and kids. Then again, we wouldn’t have gotten the most iconic villain of all time, which is my favorite Star Wars character of all-time. Star Wars wouldn’t be the same without Darth Vader.

The best theory I could come up with is that Palpatine was actually able to use the Force to slow down time and thus slow the other Jedi’s reactions and reflexes. Again, that doesn’t make this scene less flawed, but to me personally, if you try to think of it that way, it kinda helps to make this scene slide.

No "Its treason then" was good because it shows how little Sidious took them seriously and also how maniacal Sidious was. He was saying you are going to disobey you're emperor by saying little words like "then its treason then". He also was saying that its all his already.

Imagine how awesome this fight could be with SWTOR animation. Instead, it's almost as underwhelming as Obi-Wan vs. Grievous.

What a simple thing but for the first time that scene makes sense to me.

This scene was like one of those games where the designers slow down the animations so you can see how cool they are... ...and end up making it actually LESS visually impressive as a result.

It's still a pathetic scene...the other Jedi were slain way too easy

I like how Anikan slows up a little as he rolls in. Like no biggie, paperplane about to die, just catch your breath, can't let em catch you slipping.

I never understood why Windu would 'Arrest' him. I mean he is a sith lord!!!. How would he arrest him, as he wouldn't go willingly and with his strength you couldn't contain someone of that power. The fight scene was piss poor and the 3 Jedi masters should of had some kind of fight at least. I mean they all died within 7 seconds
