How Long To Brew Cold Brew Coffee? | Experiment Results
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 місяці тому
Cold brew coffee is made by steeping coarsely ground coffee beans in cold water. But for how long? I’m comparing two methods. A traditional 15 hour steep, and a device from ITEHIL that takes just 15 minutes. Then I’m serving the beers to a panel of blinded tasters to see if we can reliably tell these two coffees apart. 15 HOUR SYSTEM: amzn.to/4dS08LI 15 MINUTE SYSTEM (10% off): itehil.com/colle...

The ikago Heat Coaster Pro is billed as the world’s first smart heat coaster. Pop on your cup of coffee and it’ll tell you the exact temperature of your brew. Then dial in your preferred temp and the coaster will bring your drink up to that temperature and hold it there. And it does it through infrared sensing. But how well does it work? I’ve put it through a series of tests, let’s get into it....

Why Bloom Pour Over Coffee?
Переглядів 57 тис.Рік тому
If you’ve ever made a pour-over coffee you’ve probably heard “don’t forget the bloom”. The bloom is a process of pouring a small amount of hot water over freshly ground coffee to release carbon dioxide gas that was trapped inside the beans during roasting. But is it really necessary? To find out I’m brewing two pour-over coffees side-by-side. One receives a 30 second bloom, the other gets no bl...

How To Roast Coffee Beans In A Popcorn Maker
I got the same result with another cleaning product but I can't recommend it.
No way moka can be better in theory! But the price and skill are big! An espresso machine is too complicated and very difficult to use!!!! ESPresso is a too expensive thing! Also weight is a problem 😮
Bless you for making this video
I keep adding more coffee and blooming, pouring . I'm sure that correct ratio of a dark Peets rose but still comes out yummy and strong , smooth
I keep getting grinds in my coffee. I even upped my grind size to a medium course grind. Any advice? My technique also sucks. Maybe that has something to do with it too
It really depends on the bean and the roast! I get a lot of carbon dioxide from a couple of the beans I use and the others wouldn't make much difference. But to say it doesn't make a difference... I have to say your conclusion is too broad! Without knowing someone's particular bean, freshness, roast, water recipe,, and pour-over process... you may not be as correct.
If its so hard just use a sock and boil the grounds in the sock and enjoy, way easier and faster then this figured out himself method, take it from the army who used this many times back in the day including the old west days
in other words, it really doesn't matter
That’s a good hack. 👍👍
Let's be honest, the Synchronika wins every day of the week..and twice in Sundays.
I use the soft scrunchy stainless steel scrubber and it takes off the discoloration without scratching it and with a few drops of dish cleaning liquid only!
A Melitta pour-over set-up is just as good as these, or better.
☕👍 09:36 🔝⏳
just use a straw to let the steam out, it's not a rocket science :)
I swear I could have seen this guy somewhere in another channel also brewing something and I can't remember what. Finally looked at the comments and it apparently is a beer brewing channel lol
I think La Marzocco machines are ugly as hell. I know, cue the down votes. I have a Rocket Mozzafiato R and I am quite pleased! ECM Sync II is next, I believe. What a stunning machine.
Wow thank you! I was literally about to order a brand new 35$ yeti. I’m trying this now!
Best tips for tye Niche I've seen. The disc alignment tip is superb. Thank you!!
i just ordered one. im so tired of the fellow lid spitting and dripping hot water on me even when im well below the fill line. i saw the discount and return policy on the DJ as well as the claims about the cool touch lid and i figure theres no harm in trying it out.
What about time reduced with espresso machine
i would never pay less than $50 for my filter holder
15g coffee, 50g water
I use the hand blown ones which are twice as expensive which means the coffee tastes twice as good....
Thanks 👍✌️
Put a shot timer on it, like the mini, and I would consider it.
Maybe they should make a better product than a $40 piece of plastic. Scam.
Appreciate the test.
Can anyone who had a profitec 700/ synchronika and a linea micra/mini advise if there’s any difference in the cup? I have a lagom 01 grinder and a profitec 700 with flow control and i use the flow control with a pressure sensor app extensively
I don't see how you could get any better results in the cup with what you have, especially since you've even got the flow control.
ECM was my first machine and Micra my second. If I had a café I would prefer the ECM, but for home use La Marzocco nailed it with the Micra. Quick startup, smaller size, beautiful colors, mega steam, even with a smaller boiler. You’re just up and running faster, and maintenance is easier too. Both great.
The study I assume this claim is based on had the beans frozen at -40 degrees F. Your freezer doesn't go much below -20.
Awesome vid! Which grind size setting would you recommend to brew with a Moka Pot?
Jesus, now I need a percision scale, a stopwatch, and a math degree to make a cup of coffee in the morning, when I'm all sleepy or hungover? Can't you just tell me how to eyeball a decent cup? Like how many tablespoons of coffee beans (not ground, but whole beans) for how much volume of water? That's all I'm trying to find out. Cause I feel like I use too much sometimes. Once I used too little, and I hated it, so I generally err on the side of more is better than less.
You're using distilled water from a plastic container. 👎
The La Marzocco looks like a scabby Rancillio Silvia where the Synchronika looks like a piece of art. Most points you guys make seem very biased. You can buy flow control for the ECM and you can buy dials to replace the toggles. Even after doing these upgrades you would spend less than the Silvia look alike and have a better machine. You both also seem amateurish. As good as the ECM has the shot timer most people will have a coffee scale which has that, weight and flow control.
So is this good for if I just want to brew a double pod of Nespresso and just make one drink or will I always have to much milk? I see this on sale at Amazon for black Friday for $84.99 and I am wanting it. My Aerrocino that came with my Nespresso is ok but milk isn't to hot and I like all these options and the LCD screen. But I mostly use Skim milk. I just found out about this saw it on Amazon and am looking up reviews and watching a few videos getting opinions on it.
I can 100% confirm that it worked tonight. Wow what a difference it made.
Both were terribly brewed
I am unsure what you were trying to say when you said "turn it until the little dot lines up" What I do is I tighten it all the way down. Then turn the ring with the dot to line up. Then loosen it to the setting I want. With regards to exchange/old grind. A little bellow after every shot works wonders, no RDT required. I've had my Niche for 4 and a half years now and the burrs looks new due to no additional moisture added. No patina on the metal. As for grind stuck in the bottom of the cup. I just wack it with my the brush, not the one it came with but I have another one with a rubber handle so the noise is not as piecing. The puff with the bellow and a wack with a rubble handle get rids all the grind in the chamber and cup.
Synchronika II now heats up much faster if you're only pulling an espresso and not steaming.
Gooodmorning I just wanted to let you know I have ran out of instant this morning and I’m dying for a cup of coffee I have a random keurig cup and thanks to you I shall try this out asap and have myself a much needed cup of coffee this morning ❤❤
"Bigger jugs" swings it for me
I bought a cheap popcorn machine "Dash" from Walmart with flat top, I don't use the plastic cover but instead I use a grease splatter screen (remove plastic handle!) on the top and then the chafe fits through the little crack at the spout and it works perfect and it's cheap. I've only done a few roasts with it. So far so good, my only concern is the chef going up back through the bottom and getting sucked into the machine.
This worked 100%!!!!!!!
Hey so genuine question. If I remove the coffee from a coffee pod and put it into a coffee machine will it make coffee or will it destroy my coffee machone
There's only one kind of coffee that is bad and that is Starbucks coffee
I just used tea bags and let them steep for a while
Yeah, right.....
Does doing this leave a chemical taste behind, as stainless steel is porous?
Technically speaking, all steel is porous at a small enough level, as there is always some space between the steel molecules. You would have to finely grind and polish a steel's surface to get a fine enough "non-porous" surface.
If you need an expert to take multiple tastes who then eventually concludes there's not really a difference.... haven't we already figured out the necessity?
🏆😋
