In this video, we look at an R160A-2 Alstom Q Train with cars 9348-9352 (Zoho One wrap) hooked up to 9563-9567 (NYS Wrap) making a stop at Avenue H, bound for Coney Island. Each weekday, a single R Train makes a trip up to 96 St-2 Av and back as a Q Train to Coney Island. This train was taken OOS upon arrival at Stillwell Terminal because of a broken window in 9348. In this video, we are at Newkirk Plaza on the BMT Brighton Line with short (B) Express and (Q) Local Train Action during the PM Rush Hour. An R46 (5820-5818 5850-5852) was used as a PM Rush Hour put-in for the (B) line due to a vandalized 68A being sent from Concourse Yard to Coney Island Yard. An R160B Alstom (8812-8808 9152-9148) (- Ex. Coney Island set) was used as a PM Rush Hour put-in for the (Q) line due to several trains being unavailable to be put-into service. Since October of 2021, R160s do not regularly run on the (Q) aside from the (R) to 96 St-2 Av, or loans/rush hour put-ins. On April 30th, 2024, R160B Alstom 8722-8718 9197-9193 was loaned onto the (Q) line for AM Rush Hour and into the afternoon due to unavailable trains in Coney Island Yard yesterday. With the R160B Siemens running on the (N) Line yesterday, this was a surprise. R160s do not regularly run on the (Q) line aside from the daily (R) to 96 St-2 Av.

Due to a large gap in (Q) service, R160B Siemens (8973-8977 8907-8903) had an extended stay on the (Q) line for 4 extra trips instead of usually going out-of-service at Coney Island. Taken: April 23, 2024

Nope, this is the Brighton Line with the B and Q trains. It’s an R211T testing signed as a D train. It’s now in service on the C line.
