Nowadays the Port Authority Trans-Hudson does not allow any video nor photo to be taken of the system except if you've got a permit.
My guess is to prevent terrorism as terrorists may take videos or pictures of things before disaster strikes.🚇

I know, that rule sucks. The only thing us railfans are doing is videotaping for UA-cam videos and Instagram posts. The MTA allows videos and photos to be taken. Plus, it’s sort-of free advertising for PATH.
