    Awesome《☆》It's interesting how the pistons have 4 Valve reliefs. I think it served 2 purposes. 1 to lower the compression & 2 would allow for the pistons to be rotated 180° at installation. Mopar didn't offer any 4 valve heads back then. I think Toyota & Honda were making 4 valve Hemi heads for cars & motorcycles in the late 60s early 70s. 273 is a Great under appreciated engine✌🏼😎☯️

It was a metallic green with two hood scoops like you had mentioned, with the black hood stripes . Well here’s the kicker, that car had dang old 225 six cylinder with 3 speed manual on the column, not a muscle car at all, but it dam sure looked good . Ever since I’ve been a mopar man and I’ve always wanted to have a muscle car . I’ve been looking a lot lately so maybe I’ll pull the trigger . I had it running really smooth when it was warm and then I started it a couple of days later and it seems to have too much advance, can you tell me more about how you set up your cold tables? • @tailsfromthejunkyard1023
      @tailsfromthejunkyard1023 5 місяців тому

      Of course, it really depends on what kind of cam, compression, and initial timing your engine is setup. But rule of thumb is anywhere from 7 to 10 degrees of initial timing for cold start, with choke closed and rpm set to about 800 rpm, after a couple of minutes, you should be able to run your normal timing settings that you’ve tuned your car for. Please let me know if this helps.

    I have the newer version, the Atomic 2 and I cannot praise that enough. One of the things that I'm glad they kept when they went to the newer version was the boosters in the middle that help keep that carburetor look. As far as I know this is the only system that uses the boosters in the middle of the venturies. As far as the ECU being on the side of the throttle body now, I've actually worked on the vehicle after it's been running and at no point did I ever feel like the side of the throttle body was hot. I think with the constant airflow thru the TB and massive amount of fuel flowing through it, it stays cool, because with the new design you have to have a return line so you constantly have fuel flowing through the throttle body. I haven't watched them yet, but I see you have a couple of videos up about the Progression Ignition. That's actually what drew me to your channel, and that's also going to be my next purchase. I'm going to be running a Edelbrock eForce 122 and I love the fact that the Progression system has a MAP sensor and will allow you to retard the timing curve according to boost pressure. ❤ MSD offers an ignition box that does that, too, but they want $700 just for that ignition box, not including the coil and not including the distributor. Since I have limited clearance for the supercharger I can't run an HEI and the only MSD distributor they offer that's compatible with the 6-BTM is the 8750 which is their pro billet distributor. That's another $450. F*kk that! I'll go with the Progression system.

    I had a Red Twin Turbo 1990 Z, one of the first as each dealer only got one per month. Great review, but not quite stock - I'm guessing new turbo as their was no adjustment and there was well known turbo lag - even in the famous Ridley Scott 'Blade Runner" AD (on YT). Also, I'm guessing he has modified exhaust as the Z was very quiet. I waited 15 years to buy a similar car - a 2005 silver Infiniti G35 300hp that I modified to about 330hp without turbo. No turbo lag, very fast for 05 but the specs are very similar. Best of all sunroof - no stupid T tops and foldable rear seat and lower insurance rates. Only must recommendation is spend the money on Michelin Pilot 4 Sports - best handling, braking tire out there. It grabs off the line, as both my cars would hop with the standard tires, spinning them until I hit 3rd gear. I'd recommend the newer G35 or G37 over the Z.
