thanks!! i saw a quiet place about an hour after horizon. i agree with you that age, maturity, and experience all add up to how you like a movie. i totally understand and recognize that i am in the minority when it comes to this movie. i'm really glad people like it - people need to support and enjoy more than IPs and blockbusters. speaking of, i understand what you were saying about me and my movie taste going into the film, but i respectfully disagree. although i do love superhero and action films, i have a more broad taste of films. my favorites of this year are Hit Man, Late Night with the Devil, and Challengers. i do really like Westerns and I want to see more of them, i love the ones like Shane, 3:10 To Yuma, Magnificent Seven, and True Grit. I do need to branch out, so if you have any recommendations, i would love them! and yes, being a reviewer usually means you can't please everybody. my take on horizon might be the one that has gotten me the most heat. i appreciate your respectfully disagreeing with me - it's a breath of very fresh air from the usual comments i receive.

@@carterwalker there are tons of good westerns not mentioned yet. Tombstone, Unforgiven, the Good the Bad and the Ugly, the outlaw Jose Wales, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Silverado, Young Guns. Even comedy, like the three amigos, Maverick, Blazing Saddles, Back to the future part 3. Unforgiven is probably the absolute best complete western movie ever. If you haven’t see it, you’ll know why Clint Eastwood is the best Hollywood cowboy. Unforgiven and Tombstone. Start there.

Horizon An American Saga Chapter 1 was amazing. Hey not every movie needs to have action scenes n stupid jokes every ten seconds for it to be a good film ukno. Before Marvel films existed most films took their time it's actually sad that people don't have long attention spans anymore.

@@travisgray8376 to each their own - but don’t talk down to me like i’ve never seen a movie before marvel. i happen to love them, but my film taste is a lot wider than that. if you loved horizon, awesome! i am glad it has its fans. i will go see and support part two and i hope i personally enjoy it more.

You’re so focused on being cool and progressive you dare not feel anything especially emotions other than anger. In your eyes, “no this isn’t tragic, it’s just stupid.” You obviously have no exposure to any great westerns from the past. So yeah, your opinion sucks. Go watch another Seth Rogan movie and “enjoy” yourself. This movie was awesome and the fact that you don’t get it is tragic. Great movies like, True Grit, 3:10 to Yuma, Unforgiven, Tombstone, The Outlaw Jose Wales, The Good the Bad and The Ugly, and so many more, are essentially the foundation to this type of work of art. And I’d be shocked, SHOCKED, if you’ve seen any of those movies let alone liked one of them. So I stand by it, your opinion sucks.

i enjoyed the Costner plot the most, but I think the revenge plot against the natives was the strongest. hopefully the next parts work for me more!

BRAVO with your honest review!! HlMy honest review and I enjoy westerns. However, I'm not at all recommending this movie. I just watched this and it was HORRIBLE. 3 hours of complete disappointment. It severely lacked a storyline, three characters were forgettable and it was so poorly dragged out. There were movie giers that walked out of this. Save your time and your money. SKIP THIS. After the reviews of this film, they may want to cancel the part 2 being released this August. I wish we could get our money back. Kevin Costner did nothing for his acting in this. It may be the worst he's done and I have been a fan.

Stay watching Marvel films and wham bang thankyou mam films.This film is what I have been craving for The Acting was superb, the cinematography excellent the music beautiful the roar of those harleys breathtaking. It felt you were in the 1960s with the clothes , the Actors Smoking their heads off it was so authentic. Jeff Nichols has done a great job to take you back in history what a true biker club looked like. My only disappointment it wanted another half hour to see if Benny and Kathy took revenge. Jodie Comer was the glue that kept this film so intriguing she is one hell of an Actress and the whole cast were brilliant. 9/9 would have give it a 10 if it had been a little longer.

Totally agree... +1, bro. Too bad kids these days just don't get the vibe and can't appreciate what real movie making is really about. Jeff Nichols is a visionary auteur and he did it again. Too much marvel garbage and brainless blockbuster tend to spoil one's taste quickly. ​@@briellameggy7039

agreed, the ending of S3 was full of writing issues and plot armor. it was pretty ridiculous.

yeah, the comics are quite long too. i think season 3 should’ve had The Boys able to kill low level supes (as part of their CIA job) just to kinda spice up the formula and make it more interesting

agreed. episode 4 was really great. even small things like having Hughie go with Kimiko (combining the shining light and hughie subplots) made it a lot more interesting!

i agree, i think Frenchie's character has run his course. Losing one of The Boys in S3 would've been really interesting for the show. I really think Frenchie is dying this season

I agree. I think the political commentary has really just become finger pointing and isn't as clever as it was before. There are issues with the show beyond that, but for some reason people just hone in on the political aspects of the show.

So why are you still watching it?
