It follows a stuntman working on his ex-girlfriend's directorial debut action film, only to find himself involved in a conspiracy surrounding the film's lead actor. Your rating of 7 out of 10 was too generous. It was a 5 for me. You did touch on the reasons why it was not a good movie. But in the end, your kindness won out over honesty.

i wouldn’t say my kindness won over my honesty, it is just a movie that i thought the good outweighed the bad. it was extremely fun and entertaining, and i definitely had my issues with it. but the fun stuff was very fun to me, so it gets a 7

@@carterwalker Before seeing the movie, I checked Rotten Tomatoes which had a rating of 82%. As the movie progressed, it was clear that the movie was nowhere near worthy of such a high score. And so I felt a bit ripped off and it made me recall what my brother had said about Rotten Tomatoes, that it had been infiltrated by the movie studios. And now I'm starting to think that he is right, at least as far as this movie is concerned.
As was the case with you, I was not 'invested' or engaged with the love story. At the same time, I wasn't really engaged with the action either. A lot of the stunts just looked like that - stunts. As you mentioned, the boat chase scene wasn't great. Even the cartoonish nature of the bar fight scene came across as an attempt to conceal any real martial arts ability or choreography. As you said, the attempts at comedy often fell flat. It was as if they were hoping that the movie might be redeemed by the action scenes - I was certainly hoping so - but it wasn't the case.
I had commented on 'kindness' in your review, but then I started to wonder whether you were incentivised or whether favourable reviews is what grants you access to use posters and movie scenes in your reviews. Or whether there might be perks such as attending premieres, merchandise etc. It was just a thought, I don't want to cast any assertions.
Anyhow, we are each entitled to our own opinion. If we asked 10 people what they thought about the movie, we would probably get a wide range of opinions. As long as you're saying what you feel is correct, then you don't need to worry about others like myself are saying. I must say, I loved your overall presenting style which had a relaxed and laid back nature. I am somewhat inspired to start my own movie reviews, because there does appear to be a 'self licking ice cream' where studios are producing movies and then generating online praise to go with it.

No worries man, and no, I don't get any invites or specialities (although I can't lie, I would love to go to a premiere one day)!
Since you said you are interested in starting a movie channel, I would say go for it! I started mine because I just liked talking about film and giving an opinion - as somebody who usually likes most movies I see. If you do start your channel, you are free to use promotional pictures or posters from movies in your review, or footage (to an extent) since it is a review and it is protected under fair use!
I do appreciate you enjoying my content, thank you! If you are considering starting a channel, you should do it
