Much love and many blessings my brother. Hope you read all my feedbacks. I watched all of these careers in real time. Amen

😂 Bird made that team. People forget Bird as a rookie beat the beasts of the east. He did not need to evolve he made that 29 win team to a 62 win team. Jordan had to have the ball to effect the game Bird made others great. I still have Jordan 1A

Also Birds 13 seasons he missed 1 of those for double Achilles surgeries. So he only played 12. Congrats on taking that step towards marriage

I dont hate Bron i grew up watching Bird. Bron deserves his flowers for being that good for that long thats impressive. Bird was drafted to a horrible Celtics team. 29 wins and as a rookie to them to 62 wins. Bron could not do that for Cleveland. Bird wanted to compete agianst the best Bron wanted the best on his team. He could not by himself elevate others to greatness. Bron is not clutch, soft and does not hustle like Bird, he dont play injured, you have to be able to lead a team and have that impact on others Bron has never had that killer instinct and championship mentality. He has been a great player and i have him top 10 but he just dont have that it that Bird , Jordan, Kobe and others had

Only game winner i remember Bird missing was in the finals against the Lakers. A off balance turn and shoot 3. His shooting hand was broke during the whole playoffs from a bar fight. He punched the bouncer and had to settle out of court.

Jordan and Bird are 1A and 1B. Magic was not even ranked above Bird in there playing years. Magic himself says Bird is the greatest. I have Jordan slightly over Bird and I'm a Bird fan and watched his entire career. Bird swept Jordan both times the played in the playoffs.

  • @ricklove8588

They played like 5 buzzer beaters in this video. 3 in the playoffs. Bird was a damn good finisher in his younger years but broke his back 7 years in

  • @ricklove8588

😂😂 Bron is not top 5. He stacked teams and numbers. He does not have that clutch gene or championship mentality. Bird drafted to a 29 win team and took it to greatness.

It's not about needing to it's about putting it all on the line to win. You are trying to hard to cover for Bron. Bron is not Bird

MVP, DPOY, scoring champ (35. Game) all star MVP, slam dunk champ, led the league in steals, and had more blocked shots than any guard in history. One of only three players to win MVP and DPOY in the same season. Giannis and Hakeem the other two. The only player in history to win DPOY and lead the league in scoring the same season. Nooooobody better than MJ. NOBODY

Kobe had a counter for everything. He had counters for counters. If it took 3 moves to get a decent shot, Kobe would make it happen no matter who was defending him. That jumpshot, and his fadeaway were so rehearsed to the point where it was pure muscle memory. A lot of guys have a great jumper, but Kobe was on a different planet. He had to learn how to score with an inch of space, or body to body because defenses threw everything at him including the kitchen sink. It didn't matter. Kobe commanded so much attention defensively that he almost always had 5 sets of eyes on him at all times which created easier shots for his teammates. He was such a great scorer that his excellent defense, and his facilitating often gets overshadowed. He was the best 2 way player of his era by far in an era with Duncan, Dirk, Shaq, KG, and so many others. In my opinion, Kobe is second to only one man in NBA history, and if both of them were on the court against eachother "in their primes", it would have been the best matchup in NBA history. If that took place with both of them in their absolute primes, this dimension we exist in would probably shatter from the intensity between the two, and that's probably why God seperated the two by age, and era, allowing the torch to be passed down instead of having them beat on eachother in the playoffs, or Finals over the course of a decade like Magic, Bird, and Isaiah did.

Apparently Bird found a way to make it work but AFTER it happened , he said he lost his touch for the ball..in the summer before Bird signed his first contract with Boston in 1979..he was playing in a baseball game with his brother ..and dislocated his fore finger on his shooting hand…the finger was bent at 90 degrees toward his thumb..and fr the 13 years he played, doctors could never fix it..he played 13 years with a permanently dislocated finger..then hurt his back shoveling gravel for his mother’s driveway in the off season in 1985..

I always loved Magic’s style of play..and it is life choices Bird made that elevates him…Bird was Rookie of the Year over Magic in 1980..something Magic or Michael or Steph or Kobe never did..or LeBron or the new guy in Denver..only 3 players in history have back to back to back MVP’s..Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain..essentially 2 centers..and a forward, Larry Joe Bird…12 time all star..and after playing , coached the Pacers and won Coach of the Year in 1998..after moving to the front office…was named Executive of the Year in 2012..success at every level..and icing on the cake for everyone was the 1992 Dream Team..gold medal..and with that..Bird is in the Hall of Fame twice..but my guy was always Wilt, cuz I’m from Kansas..only man to score 100 points and average 50.2 PPG in 1962..Wilt still has about 73 records in the book..yet to be broken..

I think we are all looking at it in the wrong way. Instead of an impossible to prove GOAT pick, maybe we should just say that to be mentioned in the same conversation as Kareem, MJ, Lebron, Dr J, Bird, Magic... is the greatest compliment an NBA player can receive?

Yeah somebody should calculate the amount of time LeBron has spent on the floor flopping opposed from Larry's time spent on the floor from serious injury. I bet it's twice as long and I bet he returned to play quicker and at a higher level.

LeBron James the dude that started off his carrier with the Cavilers? I'm pretty sure there's only one. I wouldn't have recognized who you were referring to from how you were describing him. In fact LeBron would have been the last person I considered. Much time spent subjected to hyped up paid mouth pieces spewing a corporate driven agenda. The human mind is easily manipulated. We must first be aware of this fact.

For me, Larry Bird is like a German Shepherd. There are other dogs that are greater at tracking, speed and maybe intelligence but they are extremely adept at all of that, which is why they are so widely used as police and military dogs. Well rounded. People can have all the GOATs they want, there is only one legend and his name is Larry.

And the year he was supposed to report as a new Celtic…he severely dislocated his forefinger on his shooting hand while playing a baseball game…his finger was bent at 45 degrees toward his thumb…and the doctors never were able to fix it…the Boston trainer found out and told Auerbach..and they told Bird to suit up…they went out on the court…and had him go through some shooting and passing drills…no contract had been signed yet…and Auerbach said …he looks fine to me…

And Larry Bird could run a 5K Marathon because he did it every year in his Home Town and would defenders into the ground and just wear them out trying to keep up with Larry Bird. And Larry Bird would run the same speed with little Burst and would find a way to get open.
