honestly, if spells come back i just hope they dont do what they currently do with unusuals and let the old ones sit while new ones flood the game every year, its a big problem mainly for the economy of the game and all, being eventually, spelled items arent going to be affordable by mainly anyone anymore like how a majority of old unusuals are or even the unusual miscs and all, just hoping they make a smart decision instead of a dumb one here and they need to bring the old spells back, thats not even to mention the non economy parts either actually, just the fact that some cool hat effects and weapon stuff is locked behind a 50+ key paywall is quite dumb i will be honest, same thing with unusual effects too but thats an entire new rant in of itself

If spells are added, they shouldn't go away post halloween, they should be active all year or go dormant, not deleted.

It’s stuff like this that makes me happy, but sad at the same time. It’s why I gave up tf2 unboxings because I do not have good luck AT ALL- like I somehow got the SMG curse

Spells are essentially a special type of Unusual effect that can be applied to cosmetics & weapons, and if only they were added back so that people like I who joined relatively recently to TF2 can get the ability to Enjoy the Spells and their cool effects.

im still holding hope for a new major update, but if im gonna be honest the summer 2024 "major" update that removed bots is probably likely the last "major" update we are gonna ever see, which is such a bummer, people begged for bots to be gone and now well, they are gone, however, even if realistically that will be the last "major" update for tf2, I still think theres one last update that will actually seal the deal as the final update, probably even for the seasonal stuff too if i were to guess, and thats the theoretical source 2 update, but thats more just fantasy instead of actually hoping that will happen

So ScreamFortress has come and gone and no spell were added. Meh

The only large updates I've managed to experience are Meet Your Match and Jungle Inferno (I started playing a little less than a month before MYM). I know I missed out on a lot, and I'm sad about that.

The main reason I don't care about unusuals is that I'll never be able to afford the one I want. If Valve stops adding effects outright, the supply of each individual unusual will rise making them cheaper.

I don't give a flying fuck about the tf2 market regarding spells, they were only in here for a few years. I wish they'd add them back along with some other items. Like maybe once every 3-4 years, or make them extremely rare when opening halloween gifts.

Actually TF2 received a VERY major update: It is now 64Bit-only and doesn't run any more on 32Bit machines. I think Valve wants TF2 to be slowly forgotten so they can bring out another game with the same basics but much more Microtransactions.
