What a chill guy, I’m subbing.
You’re the man! Thank you for the support! Ride safe, brother!
You know they have those heat shield they use for different purposes for household cars engines you can go and get you some of that and cut it to the fitting of your seat under your seat and heat problem goes away from the seat area and maybe some other slight modifications that will help you with heating problemsthat would work. I’ve seen it done.
haha Thats an interesting Idea! This is the only bike i've ever owed so its hard to say how hot she really gets in comparison to other spot touring motorcycles...But she does get hot during the summer and you will feel that heat hitting your legs! Thanks for the input, ride safe, brother!
Wear the gear man! Be safe!!
You're right! Gotta dress for the slide and not the ride. Its no real excuse but sometimes its just so hot out here during the summer months and I haven't been able to find some good gear for that kind of weather specially during stop and go traffic! Thanks for the input, ride safe, brother!
Is 200 kilos of 2 passengers to much for this bike?
Nope, far from it! I weigh almost 100 and I have no problems riding up steep mountains at elevation with my girlfriend and heavy mountaineering gear in the back! You wont regret this bike! Other than replacing the horn a few days ago I had no other problems! Ride safe, brother!
Hmm, I didn't think about the heat. No problems with my 650 in Florida, but thinking about getting the 1100 when it comes out.
That would be a big upgrade, im sure youd love the new 1100! Let me know when you get her! Ride safe, brother!
so 0 mechanical issues good to know...
So far so good haha! I just had to get a new horn a few days ago, other than that everything has been great!
i have the same bike and I have Lextek exhaust system full race headers at good price plus I had it altered so that I have twin pipes they do specifically for this bike, Mine are dual ports on each side sounds amazing. Lextek XP13C Carbon Fibre Twin Exhaust System 210mm for Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX 20-on type this in and everything that you need will come up.
How much power is your bike producing? Thanks for the input, brother! Ride safe!
Great video man!
Thank you very much! Ride safe!
the position of your insta 360 seems interesting. mind showing some footage from it?
@@lpdr0k sure! I was playing around with the editing and seeing how to make it look nice for the videos. I’ll make sure to include some more of it in the future when I get back! Hope you’re riding safe out there, brother!
@@LiterFreedom thanks! thoughts on the ninja 1100sx/se?
@ A lot actually haha I might need to bring a video on that soon actually! Are you thinking of getting one by any chance?
@LiterFreedom i bought a '23 last year 😁 the upgrades on the 1100sxse were exactly the upgrades i was planning on (besides the displacement bump ofc😅). i was on the fence due to fear of ruining the bike or something. but it seems me and kawi engineers were of the same mind 🙂
You say that the negative thing about your kawasaki is the fuel consumption. But throughout the video you are driving in second gear. In this way you cannot achieve low consumption because you force the engine to turn at many revolutions. If you try to drive choosing 4th or 5th gear then you will easily see a consumption of 19 maybe even 20 kilometers per liter. I am writing this because your bike has a lot of torque from low revs that you are not taking advantage of. So consumption on a 1000cc bike like yours can get a lot better. Try it. Greetings from Greece.
@@Σταμάτης-ζ3τ I mainly road in lower gear on this video because of road conditions. If you watch other videos you’ll see I normally do ride her on mid to lower range RPM, anyways when you google 1000sx mileage you will see that others are also getting the same KM pL as I am! It’s interesting because other 1000cc bikes get better mileage than this 1000sx…. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love my 1000sx and I ride her everyday but I had to find some negatives (compared to other bikes) to make this video. It was hard finding anything negative to say about her haha! Stay safe out there, brother. And thank you for your opinion! 💪 🏍️
My 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is the best bike I had in all my life. I like the seat… and the power. The quick shifter is fantastic.
@@cibsim absolutely amazing bike. I still use mine everyday without any issues (besides the horn which I’ll have to get looked at again). Hope you’re riding safe out there, brother! Susbcrjbe for more content on the 1000sx. I’ll be back soon! Ride safe! 💪 🏍️
Hey, you commented that you are a big rider... I'm 6'2" so i'm always wondering what that would be like. What is your height and how do you sit in/on this bike? I'm really looking hard at the 2025 1100sx that's coming out. Nice video, Taiwan is pretty.
Did you make it home alright? It’s been 3 months, mate 😳
@@meshsun1 I appreciate you checking on me, brother! Everything is good here! I’ll be back with some content soon enough! Hope you’re doing well as well and riding safe out there! 💪 🏍️
Always love your content bro. Very insightful video. Can i ask for your opinion ? I am on the fence between buying CBR650R vs Ninja 1000sx Love sportier ride, my worries are the weight and handling of ninja 1000sx I am from Malaysia and live in the city. Will be using the bike in city. In your opinion, is using Ninja 1000sx will be too much of a hassle using in city and heavy traffic? I cant help to love the power and design of Ninja 1000sx But at the same time cbr650r offers 4 inline and more manageable weight. Could please help out a friend here 😂
@@NikNaqiuddinFarisMohdKhalid thank you very much for the compliment on the videos, brother. I truly appreciate the support! Unless you plan on regularly taking your motorcycle on long distance riding trips with a passenger and potentially heavy gear I’d go for the CBR650R! She sounds amazing, she’s beautiful too (I personally like her in red), she’s got plenty of power to have fun with and most importantly she’s lighter and a bit smaller which will make your life just a little easier when parking and maneuvering between cars! The other thing too is that the 1000sx saddle height is quite higher than the Honda 650R too! If you DO plan on taking many long multi day trips WITH a passenger I’d certainly go for the 1000SX without a doubt! Let me know what you end up choosing, brother! Be safe out there! 💪 🏍️
Hey nice video great footage , just a tip…lots of us older viewers listen with headphones , that deep bass boom boom beat in your audio track is a bit loud .😊 Wow that’s better the snare drum took over .

Hey did you ever have any issues with it bugging at low speeds after the tune ?
@@fix-itralph4728 how do you mean?
Like it jerks like rev limiter on its own
@@LiterFreedom like the rev limiter comes on
@@fix-itralph4728 not really…Unless we’re talking about like under 5mph with the clutch out. But that has always been the case since she was brand new
@@LiterFreedom yeah so I tuned the bike and took it back thinking it was the fuel map but that checks out but it just jerks at different like it wants to but but nothing happens and then it gives you power
15km per 1 litre 😂, what are riding a V8 Muscle car. Dude no way on earth.
35mph is the equivalent of 15kmpl man! That’s very much expected on the 1000sx if you ride aggressively but you can certainly use google to double check! Ride safe, brother! 💪 🏍️
35mpg*
hopefully my next bike! good vid
@@Neeko_Z when are you thinking of getting one? The 2025 version should be available soon!
Nice ride. Dude, think about tilting your levers down, 1/4 to 1/2", the sight is making my carpel tunnel tingle. Have you tried a GSXS1000 or adventure bike? Any opinions? Stay safe man.
@@shawnmacwhinnie4481 how do you mean tilt my lever down? I have not tried an adventure bike and I assume you’re talking about the GSX1000GT+? The direct competitor for the 1000sx? If so I have not tried it personally but I’ve watched so many reviews on that bike before getting the 1000sx. They’re both so close but it seems that the Suzuki is just a bit cramped compared to the 1000sx people seem to think that the ninja is just a bit more comfortable!
Got my license 1-2 months ago. I'm a new/beginner rider too, just bought my first bike kawasaki 1000sx, receiving it next week. can't wait! was looking into youtube for tips on handling this bike. Good to hear positive comments bout this bike so I don't regret buying it. 😅
@@Predatorhelios16 Man, respect the bike and get some riding gear for sure. Expect that you’ll make many mistakes! I suggest you Keep her in rain mode for a few months too! @@xiron_JP how you doing, brother! I’m working on some new ideas for videos and I’ll be coming back soon! It’s been extremely hot here in Taiwan this summer and raining very often! Good to see that you’re enjoying your 1000sx too, my friend! Ride safe!
I thought the throttle wouldn't open up more if its stupid to do so, like unneeded Does this really screw with acceleration?
@@lIlIllIlIllIlllIllIIIIIIIIIlII sorry, brother. Could you elaborate on this question? The acceleration is directly related to how much throttle you give the bike. With the factory settings the ECU only gives like 60-80% of gas to the engine even when you fully open the throttle. When you flash the ECU you change the settings to always 100%. Is this more or less what you meant?
thanks for the reply, I'm saying that sport mode for example is advertised as 100% power. Rain mode would be throttle/power limited for example If you are saying it's still 60-80% limited could you link me to some more sources/info please? Because I am interested in buying the upcoming 2025 1000sx (1100sx se?) Edit: maybe I'm just baked and we're talking about ECU flash power curves @ rpm sorry ignore this message maybe 😂
@@lIlIllIlIllIlllIllIIIIIIIIIlII ua-cam.com/video/W4l36wtNUjY/v-deo.htmlsi=YzPA_tJtFOFi6pJG take a look at this video on the 6minute mark. 😊 I’ll say that the 1000sx was lot of fun even without the ECU flash! But I had her for a long time and wanted to spice things up without getting a whole new bike! You’ll love your 2025 1000sx if you decide to get one! Stay healthy, brother!
@@lIlIllIlIllIlllIllIIIIIIIIIlII and you’re right about the bike limiting its power even more on like rain mode, if it’s 70% of the already limited “factory settings ECU trottle” of full power mode than I have to guess the bike isn’t it producing 50% of its full power compared to when you flash the ECU. Which might be the reason why I was able to stay safe riding this 1000sx as a first bike haha
Bit mad for 1st bike but ride safe

Yeah! I go to work with my Bike. I actually use the bike even during winter. Distance to work is only 15 KM.. but still I enjoy it... I also take my bike quite often for tours of 8 to 14 hours. So in general I do around 12 to 14000 km a year! This year I switched my old Yamaha Fazer for the Kawa Ninja 1000SX. It's a different bike.. very "polite" compared to the old lady, but still love it.

@@LiterFreedom Yes, it was a bargain to be honest. There were two pre-registered bikes at my local Kawasaki franchised dealership and I got it with 5 miles on the clock for over a grand less than normal “new” RRP. Counting my lucky stars tbh, it’s a hell of a machine for the money. I ordered the touring pack for it, so that’s on its way and will be fitted. In the mean time I’m trying to sell my MT-09 Tracer but no bites on eBay atm, not the best time of year to sell. 😅 Here’s hoping I can get it in time to catch a few nice rides before the weather closes in too much for autumn.
Have begun watching your videos and was wondering what type of mount that you are using for your phone. I have a ‘23 model and have to use a stem mount for my phone however it partially interferes with my visibility of the dash. It looks like yours works out well for the way you have it mounted, and keeps the dash clear and unobstructed. I have not had as much luck with my local service dealer as you have. Typically whenever I go in for anything, they have at least a two week wait before they can get to it regardless of what the problem is. Keep the videos coming !
@@jdaveca wow. Did you buy your bike from A Kawasaki dealership? The ones out here have been extremely accommodating haha I’ve been flirting with the idea of getting a H2 SX but she seems so wide and I truly love my 1000sx! My phone mount is made by a Taiwanese company, unfortunately they don’t sell outside of Taiwan as of now, but they are phenomenal! Thank you for the kind words regarding the video too. Ride safe, brother!
Where did you get the ECU flashed?
@@Shiver767 I got it flashed by the Kawasaki dealership! Are you gonna get yours done?
I have a ‘23 Ninja 1000 SX. I have had my display clock and lean angle reset once. Took it to the dealer and all it was, was a loose clamp on the factory installed battery. They tightened it up and I’ve not had any problems since.
@@jdaveca I might have had the same problem as well, I got a new battery anyways and since then I haven’t had that happen. Another thing I was told is that my battery was not charging enough because I was taking trips that weren’t long enough to fully charge the battery which was causing these resets on the system. Thanks for the input too, brother! Hope you’re subscribed for more content on the 1000sx! Ride safe out there!

Be riding mine daily till the snow flys or they throw salt down where I live . Get my 2024 next week . Been 50 years since I have purchased a motorcycle . Guessing a few things have changed since 1975 😝
hahah So you haven't ridden in 50 years and you got a 1000cc sport bike? You got some cojones, brother! haha How do you feel about the bike's power? Has it been too much for you or have you been managing just fine? Ride safe, partner!
I own one of these and love it. Never find it hot but I am in the UK. I used to own an underseat pipe R1 now that used to get really hot in the summer. So much so i had to stand up at times. Fuel consumption is acceptable I find and coming from sports bikes the riding position is comfortable for me. I actually owned the previous Z1000sx before my Ninja and I changed as this model sorted most of the issues that bike had such as the low speed handling and the comfort by making the seats more padded and it added cruise control and a quick shifter. It was a good machine before but its a brilliant one now and good value too. It is a bit heavy but no more so than other bikes in this category. If the rumours are to be beleived there is a new or updated model coming next year so there will be some bargains on this bike new for sure.
Yes, I see that Kawasaki has not released the 2025 version of this bike yet, same for the H2 models! It would be exciting to finally see a new 1000sx! In terms of acceleration, is the 1000sx much slower than your R1? I mean I could see the R1 being much faster after it reaches those higher RPM ranges, but how about in city traffic on stop and go traffic? I do flirt with the idea of getting a proper supersport but I do love to go riding for several hours and out here in Taiwan you do encounter stop and go traffic quite often! Thanks for watching, brother. Hope you subscribe for more content on two wheels!
What phone mount are you using? Also another amazing video. You didn’t give your final lean angles.
So I use this phone mount that is made by a Taiwanese company, unfortunately they dont sell outside of Taiwan as of now...They are fantastic tho! I could give you more information if you're interested in buying some but I assume the price to import them wouldn't be worth it.
@@LiterFreedom no worries brother. Since this post i have decided to to not use a phone mount for a few reasons. One being safety and two seems we have had a few phones break internally from the vibrations. The biggest reason if I go off a cliff chances are I will lose phone. So I’ll just keep it in my pocket. Cliffs are a real thing where I ride so after speaking with friends and hearing that, yah no phone mount for me. Thanks for replying though. Thumbs up and subscribed.
That means no drugs no alcohol. Well it does in my life. If your clear headed and in good shape your much safer and able to be more aware of what your doing and what is around you.
ABSOLUTELY! Having a clear mind and a healthy body is the ultimate way to be safe! Obviously it is never 100% safe to be on a bike haha but if youre in bad mind space and under the influence your chances of a crash are so much higher. People forget that the consequences of a crash isnt just losing your bike, it can mean so much more! Thanks for watching, brother. Hope you subscribe for more content on two wheels. Ride safe!
I have one since two years now. It’s a good secure and fun bike. Fast enough to loose your licence very quickly in France
The 1000sx is certainly powerful for every situation, from stop and go traffic to the track, this bike is the jack of all trades. Im glad you're enjoying yours as much as I enjoy mine! Hope you subscribe for more content on two wheels. Ride safe, brother!
Interesting opinions and wonderful views of Taiwan, I probably will never get there, so thanks! I love my 1000 SX here in US! No complaints except maybe that the gets uncomfortable after about five hours…. I subscribed…
A few years ago I would have never expected to go to Taiwan either...Maybe someday we'll be riding together out here haha! Im glad youre enjoying your 1000sx! Is that a concors on your profile picture? Thanks for subscribing and supporting the journey, brother! Ride safe!
Do you have issue with vibrations after 5.5k rpm? I have 2021 1000sx and after 5.5k the mirrors get so buzzy that I cant see anything behind at all.
Actually I do not. The bike certainly vibrates more as the RPM raises but I wouldn’t say it’s enough to make my mirror vibrate to the point it’s unusable! But I’ll pay more attention to it and get back to you if the answer changes! Hope you subscribe for more content on the 1000sx, brother! Ride safe!
Great video. I just got my 2024 ninja 1000sx last week! I love it!
Thanks for the input, brother! Hope you subscribe for more content on the 1000sx! Ride safe!

Hi from Japan! Finally got her from the dealership and she is amazing! Love her smoothness and how comfortable ride is. But, i was really shocked by fuel consumption... 60 km is done. I'm a new rider, i know.. On a Rain mode for a while, everyday on traffic jams, and my km/l is 8.3, avg speed 10 km/h 😅If these scores are my fault, please, give me some advise!
Brother, how many kms does your bike have? Is she a new bike? What kind of gas are you using? I get about 17 km/l when riding slowly and less than 15 km/l when “having fun” maybe your bike is still in its break in period? 8.3 is TOO LOW!
@LiterFreedom it's a brand new bike, a 2024 year model. High octane gasoline. I'm not having fun at all and drive very slow at heavy traffic jams. And yes, it's in break in period now. 60 km on odometer.
@@LiterFreedom And one more thing. Because I'm a new rider, i never filtering or something at all.
@@xiron_JP how many kms have you ridden this bike? Maybe she has been idling for a long time?
@@LiterFreedomAbout 60 kms.
Great video! Thanks. Just got my 1000sx 24 model last week I love it!
Awesome, brother! Where are you from? And which color did you get? I’m glad you’re having just as much fun on your 1000sx as I am on mine! Ride safe, brother!
@@LiterFreedom Alabama. I got the black Grey and red one
@@clayharrison8889 Are the roads out there nice to ride? I hear it rains quite a lot in Alabama!
@@LiterFreedom in north alabama good roads, rains not too bad
@@LiterFreedom rains ok. Not too bad. Good roads in north alabama
I am not sure I'd want both a top box (47 liters) and saddlebags (56 liters total) on this bike anyway. Metal tank equals magnetic tank bag, which is a cheap option for secondary storage. I have a 2013 which means the sexy integrated bags were not an option. The factory top box is just a Givi anyway, so I bought the Givi box with brackets and a backrest from a European site on a good sale day, and after Canadian duty and taxes, was in about $650 CDN. Best thing I ever did besides losing style points. Now I'm able to get food, beer, and many other items. Trips are easy and my occasional passengers can relax. Not to mention, the bike is no wider than before, even if we don't have legal lane splitting here.
@@kevinjacobson2202 honestly your brought up some great points here! I can’t really argue with them haha Unless you really need the extra space that the saddle bags could offer + top box (such as long camping trips on remote areas where you must carry a lot of stuff and an extra passenger). Let me ask you a question. Is it easy to remove your top box bracket? (I mean the mount for the box) or is it practically mounted there for good?
