Sandblasting a 1978 Hay Squeeze
We're sandblasting our 1978 Roadrunner Hay Squeeze. The sandblaster makes quick and easier paint removal but it sure does make a mess of the sand everywhere. Enjoy.

Installing 7" Stacks on my Peterbilt 362 Cabover with a 8V92 Detroit
That’s awesome! Can’t wait to get my 362 going
How are the other cabovers coming on?
Stil here! Just haven’t had time. To busy farming right now.
Orange is it I’m my book love it!
Thank you!
Anyone know exactly how much aluminum doubles weigh
It depends how they’re built and wheels on them. These are light, front trailer is around 7k lbs and the rear trailer is around 9k on the tagged weight. Might be a little less now with the aluminum wheels.
Хорошие машины делали в сша. Помню фильм Конвой. Привет из России❤
They look like something you can work with. The will look good painted 🟧! I noticed that, out west you guys like the twin bottom dumps over tub dumps, why is that? I have seen photos of triples. That's a long rig. Want to see it loaded. 👍👍👍
Depends how the trailers are built but some can haul more weight. These trailers can turn on a dime but don’t ask me to back up. It’s a pain.
Jesse, Waterblasting would work better? Less sand mess, but might not remove all the build up? I jeard that it doesn't pit as much as sand. Definitely will look nice in 🟧!!! Wheels going to be 🟧also? The new Pete chrome air filter & stack look great mocked up! Can't wait to see it done.
The dustless blasting is a nice setup. You have to add chemicals to the water so the metals doesn’t rust after. But it only gives you about 72hrs before it needs to be primed. I have some more fabrication and other things to add before I can get it into the booth. Wheels will be Alcoa. Thanks for watching!
It's nice to live in Nevada! Not Na Na Land!
Yep!
Question: How do you like F3990? i am looking at purchasing one. any advise what to look for or any issue? Thanks Have a great day Cheers.
I really like it. It’s been a great little tractor so far. They do have a def issue. It likes to go into regen mode more than it should. Talked to Kubota about it and the sensor reads cooler than it should so it’s always trying to heat it up and have a clean burn. Read in the forums of either putting a delete chip on it or adding a resistor to the sensor wire to make it read a higher temp then it won’t go into regen thinking it’s running hotter all the time. Other then the regen I have had no issues and have been happy with it.
@@cfnevada Thank you for getting back to me and the input greatly appreciated. I was wondering about the DEF. and wondering if it could be deleted. The units i am looking at is on Govdeals in Ontario Canada. so I will see if I get one lol. thanks again for the quick reply. Cheer
Sand makes a mess but takes paint right off, are you painting it orange like the pete
It sure does! Yep, same orange it will match the cabover.
Make the old new again 🤯 you don't have to play the game if it never started playing. 😮
I just bought one for my channel. Mines a 366 gasser with a 4 speed
You doing a great job on your pete buddy 👍
Thank you!
Excellent video brings tears to my eyes
I got your sound posted on my short vid, spreading the word.
Looking forward to seeing more progress, it's coming along nicely
Thank you! It’s not to far off from the paint booth now.
Pray for America
You really have gone head-on into this. The end result will be so good it will need to be put on a trailer behind the 362 so both of them can go to next year's MATS, or whatever prestigious show is within reach of you. Can't wait for you to attack the little GMC cabover, then the K100. You have talent!!
Thank you! And yes I’m definitely deep into it now haha
You really should blow a coat of sealer over the job when your done sanding .. You dust it off blow a coat of sealer and walk away .. The Epoxy sealer has excellent color hold out and will NOT allow any previously done old body work bleed thru ..Or absorb leaving the chicken feet tracks ..

The next generation is coming up don't have a chance
All the 1s left, U can't find wright???
Need to see more of this guy working. Once the snow has gone of course.
next time get yourself a window rope seal tool, makes like ez! Very nice work on your project
Thank you! I learned a lot and figured out there’s a lot of tools and things that could have made this easier. Next time haha
would you care to share that paint code? Thanks
It’s a custom mix Omaha Orange. I’ll look for the can and see if I can find the number. PPG single stage defleet paint.
Cool piece of kit. I guess the trick is to react fast and not let the drifts get huge, so you can go forwards all the time and not have to play at Hungry Hippo.
It was a contract delay. Don’t need you until the snow hits. Then they call.
That is a gem!! It has its own style - grows on you.
Thank you! Really trying make these ideas in my head come alive.
looking good, going to be a nice machine when your done with it. hope your exhaust pipe doesn't get to hot for your air cleaner elbow. it may not be as close as it looks in the video.
Thank you! It does look close but it wasn’t mounted yet. Won’t see that till the next video. Was still waiting on the correct 13” brackets to come in.
This was me and my brother we kept holes in our pants and shoes the first time me and him ran down the road together took me to this right here 👍🏿
That thing is beautiful
Thank you!
The old Detroit with straight pipes, they sound awesome.
Definitely!
The solenoid has a spring washer that makes a connection with two copper contacts to send the power to the starter. Over time they get worn and don't make a good connection. Take the back off the solenoid and sand the washer and the contacts, good as new, no more intermittent starts or clicking. That's the easy fix. :)
Good to know. Thanks!
Four small bolts and the back of the solenoid slips off the starter and the magnet. Four smaller bolts and the back cover of the solenoid come off and the contacts and washer are right there, can't miss them. The washer will have melted copper on it and the contacts will be worn. Takes a few minutes to touch them up with an orbital sander. Easy peasy. The starter is really heavy and that third bolt is a bitch, just by your diagnosis I guarantee that's the obvious problem and it gets progressively worse. It is nice having a new starter but in a pinch that's good to know. Cheers from Vancouver Island. @da
@@allancrow134 yep that darn 3rd bolt wasn’t easy haha. The new started is much lighter and fires right up easier now but I’ll take a look at the old one and have a spare for the future.

Use silicone lube like for brakes it wont attack that rubber like wd 40 will
Looks great now a nice original stripe scheme would look gret white black or silver go great with orange..congrats..
Thank you!
Is that a Detroit I hear?
Yep! 8V92
@@cfnevada very nice!
@@ceb7952 thank you!
hey look all good goood job
Thank you!
Not like the colour influenced the purchase........ That white cab-over needs to be inside. you did a stunning job on the Pete 362
Actually I didn’t have a choice on color but when it showed it. They sent the right one haha
This makes my soul feel good in ways I can't put into words
Boys need structure and a strong role model in their life's love this
They definitely do!
the sweet sound of that 8V92!! you got her turned up at all with bigger injectors or other performance mods?
No, nothing turned up. It’s a reman that was put in 1999. So far only put on the straight 7” pipes. Got a few more things to finish up on the outside before I can move onto interior and motor upgrades.
Damn, that looks gorgeous
This was helpful, thanks!
Glad it helps. Thanks for watching!
@@cfnevada I ordered mine after watching.
I have never seen a machine like this. Do you pick up the entire stack that one of those New Holland bale wagons makes? I look forward to seeing this unit in operation.
Yep, can pick up full stacks with it. Can load and unload semi trucks or move stacks into the barn. Makes it a lot easier.
Proper bit of progress after that inordinately long wait. What is the status of the other 2 cabovers? They seem really good at hiding.
Everything is seasonal around here for me. Gotta work when it’s there. Winter is here so back in the shop now for projects.
Bro's got the gavril
Gotta love these older models of trucks
No snow no salty roads where I live. Sunny Queensland Australia.
Love it! I use to live in Hawaii. Wishing for warmer weather now. Thanks for watching!
Nice simple old school setup....Cozad is one of the best trailers there is..coupled up to a 2stroke Detroit...and its all yours not the finance company...YOURS..its all upward from there..your'e living the dream bro!
Thank you!! I’m trying hard. It’s been a lot of work to get here and even the whole process of setting up with insurance and motor carrier. They don’t make it easy for the little guys. Thanks for watching!
hey I noticed you didn't wanna turn the gun upside down but if your using those 3m cups before you start spraying hold the cup upside down and spray the excess air out till it sprays paint... then you can spray any angle you want even upside down... beautiful work 🤙
Good to know thanks. This was the first time I used them. Thanks for watching!
I will say a hard no. I hate the snow so much I would move and I live in Ohio. I’m so done with it.
I’m not a fan of the snow either. Ready for summer already.
