What Does it Cost to Raise a Steer in 2023?

We Raised a steer for our family and this is how much it cost. These are just our basic cost break downs for what it cost us. Now it could be different in your area and what animals, hay, fuel and butchering fees may vary. There is definitely more cost than what's in this video, fencing, trailer, feed trough, water trough, and anything else that may come up. It's not cheap but knowing where our food comes from is worth it.

Yes, when you break it all down what you would pay for grass feed beef we definitely got back more than what we paid for. If I was to raise a whole steer for someone else just doing one it would be around 5,000. On the cost side. But if I were to raise more than one l, then the cost can go down raising more at once. Overall happy with what we got.
