GUNNER KENNELS G1 DOG CRATE REVIEW: IS IT the BEST & SAFEST DOG CRATE ON THE MARKET?
Here is my DEEP DIVE review on the Intermediate Gunner Kennels G1 dog crate!
I only trust the safety & wellbeing of my 2 Siberian Huskies with the BEST.
I’ve always felt uneasy traveling with my two dogs in traditional plastic crates - and I was tired of replacing flimsy wire and plastic combination crates year after year. The @Gunnerkennels G1 dog crate is a heavy-duty kennel.
This crate has safety in mind at every inch, helping safeguard against human error and seasonal elements. Gunner backs up their confidence by offering a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on each kennel.
Gunner Kennels is Located in Nashville, TN & their crates are made right here in the USA. GUNNER is a Direct to Consumer company - meaning that gunner.com is the only authorized retailer store of GUNNER products. Due to this, you will not find their products in any storefronts.
In 2022, they opened the GUNNER Showroom for customers to visit their HQ in Nashville, TN.
Gunner Kennels prides themselves on having the safest portable kennel on the market, and their products are made of a very durable blend of polymer.
The G1™ kennel is the first 5 Star Crash Test Rated pet travel crate, certified by the Center For Pet Safety.
The G1 Large crate weighs around 72 lbs and the Intermediate crate weighs around 48 lbs.
There are two aspects about the tie-down system that make the biggest difference:
1.) The anchors on the four corners of the G1™ are 1/2" thick stainless steel pins.
2.) Their tie-down pins are intentionally built into the kennel: as the G1™ cools, they insert the stainless steel components at the four corners, in order to ensure they're fully part of the safety system.
Most other crates out there offer (add-on) aluminum brackets - that are not integrated in the same way - which are liable to rip out with enough force or impact.
The INTERIOR dimensions of this intermediate crate are: 30" long x 18" wide at the floor and 25" high by 19" (wide) at the kennel's widest interior point.
The EXTERIOR dimensions are 34" (L) x 23" (W) x 28.5" (H) and 30" (Height) with carry handles.
After purchasing these crates with my own hard-earned money and owning them for over a year, I believe that the Gunner Kennels G1 is the BEST dog crate on the market now! It keeps your dogs safe & lasts/has proven durability.
I appreciate you watching this ‘Robinson Reviews’ Epidode!
“Until next time, I’ll continue broadcasting from way out there!”

    Have the min for a month now. $599+$50/mo Yes you can drive with it. Works well on freeways because you always drive in one direction. Speed varies when you make turns on streets. I still get pretty good reception doing 70-80mph. Works good while off roading, strong vibration and tilting going through large rocks. Leave enough room while in traffic making sure the dish can see the sky. I use it without the power supply. Use USBC 19v 100w cable 5.5mm barrel plug and an Anker power brick works for 8h+hr. I can make calls with Wi-Fi calling enabled, receiving text, zoom and Webex calls without a glitch. Out in the wild the dish can do about 100ft radius of wifi coverage, line of sight. In cities where wifi signals are crowded mini broadcasts to about 30ft radius.

  • @tannermeade
    @tannermeade Місяць тому

    I've got the standard dish and have used it a few times in areas that have huge trees that are +100ft tall, but when those trees are in the way (encroach on the sky above around a 45 degree angle up from the dish) I will get outages. Those areas you had the dish like at 9:20 look like very spotty areas for coverage when the dish is on the ground (spotty in terms of consistent signal, I'd guess you might get enough to send out texts or load webpages with secs/mins of waiting for it to get a signal then downloads quickly). I've been interested in selling my standard dish and buying one of these if the upload speeds stay the same as they are on the standard dish (5-20Mbps as measured by non-starlink meter like googling it). Also would be more nervous about outages with the manual aligning dishes. Hoping the reviews say that uploads are just as fast and coverage concerns are the same and not worse.

You want the cables to face downward from the ports so the water can fall down to the ground along the cable with gravity. It works fine how you have it obviously. I would just be mindful of the orientation next time if there’s the possibility of rain. It could prolong the life of the unit.

      @@swoolf1431 excellent! YES, I concur. Roof rack is a must, plus want to get some sort of storage box setup for the back doors, along with a bike rack. Awning on my list too, plus mayb 2 Baja lights up front in the grill! The roof rack will be a good platform for some solar panels maybe? So many possibilities! Lol

      Nice, congrats on your van! Loving it so far. The ecoflow generator is awesome. Lasts 10 days typically & that’s using the Dometic fridge constantly. Sips power and is a pretty good solution. The Moab bed, mule bags & L tracks are great and love the modularity of everything. The ecoflow wave 2 AC/heater that they “throw in” not so much. Didn’t work too well in the hot temps above 80 degrees…. Everything else is awesome. Easy to customize & improve everything to your liking! Hope you enjoy your van soon! 👊

    Fellow (recent) AW buyer! Are you using the front window shades that came with it? If so, how did you get them to stay up? I’ve seen online that many people ended up swapping these out with something else. Also if you need a sheet to protect the MOAB, Hest makes one! (Look for the S75 custom on their page). Also found a few good tire well solutions too!

    • @RobinsonReconnaissance
      @RobinsonReconnaissance 3 місяці тому

      Awesome! Congrats on your van! Yes, I have been using the front windshield screen/shade on hot days and to protect the dash from the sun mostly. Haven’t used it much as a privacy screen yet really. It seems kind of bulky for sure but seems to stay up with both the visors down over it. Not the biggest fan of the Velcro portion in the middle that slips over the rear view mirror in center of windshield….Always seems like it isn’t quite a perfect fit and not a full “blackout” shade. I think I’m going to stick with it for now, unless I find something better quality. I will have to check out the Hest sheets you mentioned. I’ve been using a regular king size sheet that I shrunk a bit in the dryer and seems to work fine when you tuck the excess under the mattress. Definitely not ideal though. I found some solid black tire well covers (rubber molds to size) that are a perfect fit for the inside of the wheel wells and protect the paint - They are from TerraWagon. I also got the front plastic hood spoiler (black) from TerraWagon & I’m VERY happy with that - Protects front hood edge from paint chips and gives it a more aggressive look on front end. Goes on/applies easy with 2 - 3M tape strips. Happy adventuring to you! 🚐 💨

    Hello from middle America! I purchased the Winnebago AW about the same time you did. Congrats. So I have some questions. What do you think about running the fan, lights, etc off the chassis battery? I am looking for a solution to run off the Ecoflow and totally disconnect from the starter battery. I would hate to get stranded? What are your thoughts?

    • @RobinsonReconnaissance
      @RobinsonReconnaissance 4 місяці тому

      Congrats on your Winnebago as well! I haven’t had any issues yet running the Maxx fan, lights and everything else off the chassis battery. I did get 3 or 4 GoalZero torch lights that I use as my primary lighting source in the Mule Bag nets. These are solar rechargeable lights, so a good lighting solution that does not pull from the battery. I also purchased a NOCO boost jump starter that I keep in the van just in case of emergency or if I get stranded when I’m offgrid. I trust the current setup off chassis battery.
