    This is a nice van, the track system is genius, not everyone wants to "live" in their van and doesn't need all the fancy amenities, this is perfect and adjustable depending on your needs for the weekend etc.. this could probably tow my atv trailer aswell.. i like it

      @@Liimpy yeah no need for the shower/bathroom which takes up valuable space in the van. Most use the shower as a closet anyway! The Adventure Wagon is a solid compromise on modularity & Convenience/Comfort.

    I'm sure you already figured it out, but your tires are 30.5", not 33". I was looking at these because I like the minimalist build, but I've read they don't have great insulation, and I hate how they did the bed so long, it uses up a ton of space. Wish they would have done flares and then shifted the bed the other way for more interior space.

      @RobinsonReconnaissance  Місяць тому

      @@bnr32jason thanks! I’ll find out this winter how the insulation is! The bed is ok to me, but would be nice to have flares along the lines of a more minimalist revel build. Would save room. It works for what I use it for however. Probably overpriced for what you get. Good luck finding a new sprinter that isn’t these days. Sad times. Automakers need a wake-up.

    Fellow (recent) AW buyer! Are you using the front window shades that came with it? If so, how did you get them to stay up? I’ve seen online that many people ended up swapping these out with something else. Also if you need a sheet to protect the MOAB, Hest makes one! (Look for the S75 custom on their page). Also found a few good tire well solutions too!

      Awesome! Congrats on your van! Yes, I have been using the front windshield screen/shade on hot days and to protect the dash from the sun mostly. Haven’t used it much as a privacy screen yet really. It seems kind of bulky for sure but seems to stay up with both the visors down over it. Not the biggest fan of the Velcro portion in the middle that slips over the rear view mirror in center of windshield….Always seems like it isn’t quite a perfect fit and not a full “blackout” shade. I think I’m going to stick with it for now, unless I find something better quality. I will have to check out the Hest sheets you mentioned. I’ve been using a regular king size sheet that I shrunk a bit in the dryer and seems to work fine when you tuck the excess under the mattress. Definitely not ideal though. I found some solid black tire well covers (rubber molds to size) that are a perfect fit for the inside of the wheel wells and protect the paint - They are from TerraWagon. I also got the front plastic hood spoiler (black) from TerraWagon & I’m VERY happy with that - Protects front hood edge from paint chips and gives it a more aggressive look on front end. Goes on/applies easy with 2 - 3M tape strips. Happy adventuring to you! 🚐 💨

    Nice review! This could work for me!!! I'm a little confused how the fan and led l I gets are powered. You must have a fuse panel that gets connected to the ecoflow? Unless those are powered by your chassis battery, which is not ideal imo. Can you advise? Thanks

    • @RobinsonReconnaissance
      @RobinsonReconnaissance  4 години тому

      @@fredzuccarelli thanks for watching! Yes, in an Adventure Wagon Sprinter, the fan & Led lights are typically powered directly by the vehicle's chassis battery, meaning the electricity for the fan comes from the main battery that starts the engine, not a separate auxiliary battery like the ecoflow. Definitely not ideal, but I have not had any problems thus far with the battery running low. I have not had to jumpstart yet at all.

    You going to add an awning or roof rack? That's prob going to be my first upgrade.

      @@swoolf1431 excellent! YES, I concur. Roof rack is a must, plus want to get some sort of storage box setup for the back doors, along with a bike rack. Awning on my list too, plus mayb 2 Baja lights up front in the grill! The roof rack will be a good platform for some solar panels maybe? So many possibilities! Lol

    Do you know of any molle storage panels that will work on the inside of the back doors on the 2023? Seems they work on the older models but havent seen anything for a 2023.

      I haven’t found anything yet, but that would be a sweet setup what you’re describing. Will have to look, but maybe Owl Vans or Flatline Van Co have something like that. Adrenaline Adventure Vans might also be able to point you in a direction.

    Hello from middle America! I purchased the Winnebago AW about the same time you did. Congrats. So I have some questions. What do you think about running the fan, lights, etc off the chassis battery? I am looking for a solution to run off the Ecoflow and totally disconnect from the starter battery. I would hate to get stranded? What are your thoughts?

    • @RobinsonReconnaissance
      @RobinsonReconnaissance  6 місяців тому

      Congrats on your Winnebago as well! I haven’t had any issues yet running the Maxx fan, lights and everything else off the chassis battery. I did get 3 or 4 GoalZero torch lights that I use as my primary lighting source in the Mule Bag nets. These are solar rechargeable lights, so a good lighting solution that does not pull from the battery. I also purchased a NOCO boost jump starter that I keep in the van just in case of emergency or if I get stranded when I’m offgrid. I trust the current setup off chassis battery.
