Monster Hunter Wilds PC Performance Benchmark - RTX 4080 Super
Today we are having a look at Monster Hunter Wild's performance on PC using a GeForce RTX 4080 Super. Performance is WILD!
The open Beat for Monster Hunter Wild opened up on the 31st of October, so we ahd a look at its performance, considering the system requirements stated that frame generation was a requirement to hit 60 frames per second. That holds true, even with a 4080 Super at 1440p.
The problem with trying to hit 60 frames per second with frame generation enabled is that there are a lot more visual artifacts, but also, input latency is heavily impacted negatively. We also test the input latency here at 60 fps with frame generation enabled, and it's pretty bad.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard - RTX 4080 Super Benchmark - 1440p + 4K
Переглядів 2,5 тис.9 годин тому
In this video we'll benchmark the hotly debated Dragon Age Veilguard with the RTX 4080 Super. We'll be testing at 1440p and 4K, using DLAA, DLSS, Ray Tracing, as well as Frame Generation. Dragon Age: The Veilguard actually runs pretty well. It has almost no stutters as it has a pretty lengthy shader compilation step when starting up the game. I know this is an RTX 4080 Super, but even on lower ...

Silent Hill 2 Stutters Fixed Now?? New Patch 1.04 Tested
Переглядів 1,8 тис.14 днів тому
Silent Hill 2 Remake just received quite a big patch that claims to improve stuttering in the game, so we just had to test it. I was planning on doing a full RTX 4070 video on it anyway, but the patch landed just in time for me to test both. Did the new Silent Hill 2 Patch 1.04 improve performance? What about stuttering? At launch, Silent Hill 2 Remake suffered from the usual stuttering issues ...
Once Human Latest Patch - RTX 4070 Ti Super Benchmark
Переглядів 48914 днів тому
Since its launch, Once Human has received quite a few patches, and today we are going to look at Patch version 1.3. One thing I was very interested in is CPU usage and power draw, as at launch the game was very heavy on the CPU, and this 14600KF would draw up to 150 watt at times! They have also added upscaling in the form of XeSS, DLSS, and FSR, as well as DLSS and FSR Frame Generation. The ad...

AMD's AFMF 2 Frame Generation Is Actually Pretty Good?
Переглядів 24 тис.Місяць тому
AMD just released their 24.9.1 driver, and with it came a lot of improvements to AFMF, now aptly named AFMF 2. Previously AFMF would stop generating frames during fast movement, but that has now changed. There are also a few quality and performance options to choose from when using AFMF 2. In today's video we'll be testing AFMF 2 with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB GPU. AFMF 2 stands for AMD Fl...

God of War Ragnarok for PC just launched today and here we'll be having a look at the PC port's performance using an RTX 4070 Ti Super. GOW Ragnarok runs really good on this system, and it supports a plethora of options. One great thing is that it supports FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, which means that FSR Frame Generation is decoupled from FSR Upscaling, so you can use it with DLSS, DLAA, TAA or e...

Cyberpunk 2077 FINALLY got FSR 3 frame generation after wuite some time. The latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077 just launched and I decided to give it a test. Unfortunately this is not FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, meaning that FSR Frame Generation is still coupled to FSR Upscaling, whereas with FSR 3.1 Frame Generation you can use DLSS Upscaling alongside FSR Frame Generation. So how does FSR 3 Frame...

bro is thinking about going to 4k with this card while I am thinking about staying on 1080p because its going to be obsolete in a few years and already struggling in UE5
Dlss is not just broken in Spiderman but all games built with AMD GPU I have rtx 4060 but I have to use AMD framegen because dlss frame gen runs like crap on all Playstation games ported to pc
You can also cap the framerate of the game to overcome cpu bottleneck.
I'm sorry, this game looks like PS3 game
Ugly characters, ugly dialogue, ugly graphics.
What do you think of the campaign? I love that they've included FSR 3.1 FG.
The campaign is very decent, one of the better ones in recent years. What do you think? Or are you yet to play?
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews I haven't played it yet.
im on a 3080 running it in1440p high settings an it runs great its my first monster hunter an im absolutely loving this game😍
Is caping frames affects cpu or gpu usage? And also does it helps with g sycn and overall smooth of the game?
I am 99% sure it limits CPU performance as the GPU frametimes still show sya 6ms, but CPU frame times show 16.6ms for example. But that would reduce all usage if you are well below what the max your system is capable of rendering is. It can help with smoothness indeed. G-sync does not limit the framerate, so if you go above your monitor's refresh rate you will see tearing. So limiting it a few frames below your monitor's refresh rate will prevent tearing, and with g-sync enabled you will get a much smoother presentation.
@Mostly_Positive_Reviews Thank you for responding, I'm using 165hz Dell monitor, when G-Sync Is enabled I'm getting 158 fps without any frame capping. I should still limit frames in games to let's say 155, or limit but to 158? I'm getting strange tearings while gaming, I'm getting 120 and more but I can still see the tearing. 😞
Either fight like hell to get 60fps capped or nake it a blurry mess to have 60 lol
🤣🤣🤣 True and disappointing!
I have i9 14900k and 4080 Super, but when playing games, CPU is usually full load 100%, tried everything but useless :(

How to eliminate random shader compilation stutters in witcher 3
Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done for shader compilation or traversal stutter. The devs need to implement a shader compilation step for that to be fixed, and more often than not it doesnt eliminate it completely either.
@ thank u so much for reply. Just wanted to understand how to identify if the stutter is a shader compilation one.
@@yashkedia4256 You're weclome. To identify a shader compilation stutter, perform an action that causes it to stutter a few times in quick succession. If it stops stuttering after a few times then it is shader compilation stutter. Traversal stutter can be tested by running past a certain spot that causes a stutter, and if it always stutters when running past that spot, no matter how many times you run past it, then it is a traversal stutter. Hope this helps!
@ yes it means Plague tale requeim has traversal stutters and witcher 3 has shader compilation. Also in case of shader compilation, I never notice a cpu clock speed or gpu usage drop. Even after so much research, I have not been able to solve random frametime spikes in witcher 3. Glad you confirmed it.
I see a lot of people calling it a demo. This is not a demo, it is a Beta. Demo is for trying out a finished product. Alpha/Beta is for trying out the still in production product so developers can get an idea what needs improvement and bug fixes through their surveys. On their X social media account you can do the survey and they will give rewards when full game releases.
use lossless scaling....feel smoothly after all
Do you guys also have almost no performance improvement when going from high to very low ?
less would have been soo much more sad the performace will kill the game for me
Those graphics look last gen yet the card can't keep 120 fps. Wow.
Is unreal 5 Engine worst than RE or its a licensing thing?
Always find a way to fuckkkk themselves
for comparison: my 7900 xtx nitro+ gets like 100-120 fps in that area on ultra + u can manually adjust 2 settings at least to get even more detail (high-highest) at 1440p (fsr 3 + framegen). When i activate afmf2, i get the frames doubled to 240.
Game is insanely fun, only problem is the performance is straight ass. There's no reason this game is running worse than Cyberpunk with path tracing enabled while looking worse. CDPR really did a great job with their DLSS and Frame Gen implementation because I could actually play the game with those enabled. In Wilds the differences are negligible. I use a 4090 with a 5900x on 1440p superwide (32:9). avg frames with DLSS ultra and frame gen enabled + all settings maxed is around 105-120 depending on the area. Performance is noticeably worse as it drops to around 95fps during the sandstorm but thats to be expected with all the extra visual efx happening around.
That's really my only issue. This and Dragon's Dogma 2 are fun as hell, but the performance even on high-end hardware is really rough. CDPR and Cyberpunk will be the benchmark for an open-world game that looks and runs great for a while to come. Not to say Cyberpunk isnt demanding, it is, but its settings scale very well. And as you said, DLSS and FG are very well implemented in CP, so it runs well while still looking great when those are used.
4k@80 with fg and dlss.....im fine with that
Did you get your gpu from NASA?
Let’s be honest. Even with a low grade gpu it’s still playable. You just won’t get 60fps. This game ranges around 45-57 at most. You will still have fun regardless
Capcom falling back t there old selves, minimum effort ports, the game that saved there studio may ruin it its rep =_=
Let's see what happens at launch, but I am pretty sure we'll see bug fixes and very little improvement in terms of performance.
Fps must be (uncapped) and you need a min of 60fps to start using frame generation (60fps = frame generation 120fps) only way it can be used. You will also need a faster CPU to push more frames using resolution scaling.
Also disable E-cores and use the P-Core on intel.
Yeah indeed, but the system requirements show a 4060 with frame gen reaching 60 fps, and I wanted to show what the input latency would be like if you got 60 fps with frame gen.
😮, how much fps do you think i will get with my rx 6800gpu, ryzen 5 7600 cpu?
target resolution? did you play it how did it go?
@@pcgameshardware867 haven't played yet, my target resolution is 1440p
@@pockether fsq quality+ frame gen high nothing else high/med mix you should do ok I played it with an RX 5700 8gb
@@pcgameshardware867 good to know, ty
@@pockether right on
Definitely cpu bound. I have a 14700k with a regular 4080 and 7000MT/s cl32 memory. At 1440p ultra settings with dlss quality and fg on I hit my hard cap of 158 fps (vrr cap from reflex) on my 165hz monitor consistently with very little input lag.
What is this unoptimized garbage
A game like this that requires a $1000 graphics card and still has trouble running is a disgrace.... very bad optimization and very bad graphic engine
Were getting to the point where a $3000 pc can barely run new games. What a frikkin nightmare.
And that's the point I wanted to get across without using those exact words. Imagine people with decent older systems, like a 3700X + 6700XT. They'd be used to be able to play pretty much anything at 1080p or 1440p with upscaling. A friend tested the 3700X with a 7900XTX and it wouldnt reach 60 fps with frame gen. That's unacceptable.
why are you only running in camp, not a good idea of framerate because it usually chugs in base for some reason, did you try running these tests out in the field against monsters and during heavy weather effects?
Yes, I did go outside in the video...
Abyssmal. I can't play with my friends. Its soooooooooo poorly optimised
That really sucks, sorry to hear. Is it due to the game being too demanding for the hardware? What are your specs if I may ask?
I'm so sick of frame generation in general. I cannot wait until we hit that next big milestone, and leave this chapter in the past.
Using frame gen is against Nvidias own recommendation of using it below 60fps. It's a sad world when you need a 2000 dollar GPU to get a blurred image due to faked pixel upscaling and high input delay use to low framerate+frame gen. But you know some people are okay with that and like to tell others its fine, to that i say, you must be a boomer with poor eyesight and bad reaction time to notice it.
14600k bottlenecks the 4080 at 1440p
I know this is beta. But I'm so annoyed that I can't even pass the tittle screen because of that crash report with my 4070s lmao.
I think this beta put more people off than entice people to play the game at release.
This game slapped me with potato looking monsters to match my potato pc :(
I've seen a few screenshots online and I thought it was pretty funny 🤣 Annoying and frustrating for sure, sorry it haplened to you 😔
I get that imput lag is a problem with frame generation, but capping the fps makes the problem look a lot worse than it actually is. Usually it should mantain the same milliseconds and double the fps: if the game runs at 60fps 40ms at native, with frame generation should be around 120fps 40ms
Yes, but they recommend 60 fps with frame gen, meaning it's 30 fps without frame gen.
@Mostly_Positive_Reviews huh you're right. Wouldn't play it with that much imput lag. 60fps imput lag Is actually a lot better
The low power usage of the GPU usually means something is stalling the GPU pipeline. Cyberpunk was like that at release, too!
It also could mean it's CPU bottlenecked, especially if all cores/threads are high usage It does mean, you can increase settings without losing performance much, if GPU is still under utilized
One of the things that is becoming more and more noticeable as time goes on is that we have reached a point of exponential inversion of graphical improvement. The improvements made to this game are in fact a big leap compared to world. But it’s not easily perceived to the eye. It’s mostly things like hair physics, sway on foliage, larger field, multiple ai controlled monsters roaming around. But the player can only see what’s on screen and it’s not under a microscope to it seems barely any different. Add on the fact that the improvements are super taxing and expensive and it leads to this happening so often now. Game looks barely better to most people but runs worse because now the graphical improvements are extremely taxing and don’t change the front facing image as much. This will get worse before it’s gets better. At least as long as the casual consumer continues to thirst for only the finest graphics. Companies keep chasing the moving target and it’s getting impossible to handle.
That's a good point
No, we haven't. This game looks last gen.
i hope people cancel their preorder...
Betas and demos are supposed to lure people in, but lately its been having the opposite effect on me. Hopefully people let their wallets do the talking here, otherwise this will just continue.
it's unacceptable. i refuse to care about this game until they care about us enjoying the game *day one* or else, don't put the fucking thing out hahaha
100%, I wont be buying. I'll wait a few days after launch and see what the performance is like before spending any money on this game. If it's close to the performance here I'll just skip it entirely.
Theoretically it might improve before launch, but if I had a penny every time gamers convinced each other that "it's just the beta, bro" only for the final release product to be similarly broken, I'd be a millionaire... Even a $2000+ graphics card struggles to maintain 60fps at 4k for a game that really doesn't look so good that it would justify that kind of performance. I was hyped for the game, now not so much anymore.
Exactly how I feel. Sure, there's a chance it will improve, there's still a few months to go. But history repeats itself and very rarely have we seen major improvements from beta to release. I'm not holding my breath, though I really hope it is much improved.
The game is primarily cpu bottlenecked. You actually don’t need as good of a gpu as you’d think. Which is weird because they undersell the cpu in recommended specs and over sell the gpu .
i dont think i can remeber a beta that had bad performance and the launch actual fixed the performance, so im not having my hopes up especially since launch will have denuvo
Jesus that performance is a far cry from when these games ran on the PSP, 3DS, and Switch 😂
They are excluding a lot of players here if this is going to be final performance for sure. People are used to playing these on era-appropriate low-to-mid-range hardware. Now all of a sudden you need a 4080 to hit 60 fps without frame gen. Not ideal 🤣
Been playing since MH3U, I will not be giving Capcom my money unless they miraculously fix this before release in 3 months.
Really hope they fix it by then. I'll also not part with my money if it doesnt run significantly better than here.
I will.
