Appreciate the work fella I found the settings a bit basic tbh but understood what they meant & I think the game looks much better than FF16 for visuals Looks sharper with less blur & less of a softer image quality, similar style to the FF7 Remake On top of that it runs very well I went 100% and it ran well on the 4080 Super also I'm a big fan of FF myself since the FF7 Remake
I noticed small micro frametime spikes troughout the video like shown at 8:29.Could they be related to MSI afterburner?I notice'd you're monitoring GPU Power which also had those small micro frametime spikes in your other amdip video.
In my other video it was the GPU Power Percent causing the issue. Just normal power is fine. The game does stutter quite a bit currently. Apparently replacing some .dll files related to storage resolves it but I havent been able to test that yet. Unfortunately many people are complaining about the stuttering :(
Yes but unfortunately not adjustable natively as many would prefer it. As of now the 0-10 counter seems to lock the peak brightness at at least a 900 nits ceiling and make a small floor. It looks good, but will turn it off and compare with RTX HDR and set the ceiling according to my Displays higher peak brightness.
Getting about 60fps 4k on my 4090 but I guess because I’m still using a 3900x it may be a bottleneck. Everything maxed but I can use the program *Lossless Scaling* from steam to double up the fps while also sharpening the image.
Don't know how you have that combo! Since Zen 2, cpu improvements have been substantial! I mean, the 4090 was bottlenecking many CPU's even at 4k when it came out. Now with these modern games, its even more severe I'd imagine! Although I must say that the performance disparity is, even given what I said, extreme! Could be memory issue too (or pcie speed)?
im running the game at the same specs, on old drivers game i think was running flawlessly , but game was crashing every one hour, i updated drivers to the newest and game never crashes but now i have endless random stutters even after 1 hour of playing, is there a solution? have you noticed it too?
It crashes a lot less on the older driver for me but performance with regards to stuttering is very similar for me. Saw the DF video, and oh boy, it's in a very bad state at the moment.
I'm playing on a 4090 and on a 360hz 1440p OLED monitor. For some reason when i set the "display sync technology" in Rebirth to V-sync instead of VRR it allows me to go over the 120 fps cap in rebirth. My framerates regularly sit around 135-200 in some smaller areas and pegged at my driver level 240fps cap in the combat simulator for those interested. Idk if it's a bug or what but hey im not complaining. lol
Hahaha, that's interesting. I tried it out on my 165hz panel with v-sync on and it stayed at 120 fps, so maybe a bug with higher refresh rate monitors? Very cool though.
@ I also have g-sync and v-sync enabled in Nvidia driver. Idk if that would make a difference or not. I haven’t seen anyone else mention this yet and I’ve confirmed with 3 different fps software. Nvidia app, RTSS and my monitors built in fps readout. Also on W11 24H2 with a 9800x3d.
I personally prefer DLAA as it does resolve finer details better. And soon you'll be able to use the new DLSS as well via Nvidia App which will make it look even better.
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews via nvidia app? am i missing something lol? im still on geforce experience did they get a new software or something? i keep saying upgrade to nvidia app when i open experience to update my drivers but ive been ignoring it
@@phxntym2133 Yes, it's just NVIDIA App right now, no more GeForce experience. Right now it's not really better or something, but they do work on function that you will be able to replace nvngx_dlss.dll via app to get newest DLSS 4 version in any already supported DLSS 3 game.
No, DLSS here is upscaling and has been around for a while and serves the same purpose as FSR, which is upscaling. DLSS Frame Gen has also been around for 2 years now, but this game doesnt support it. The new DLSS Frame Gen is called MFG and has a 3X and 4X mode, and that is only available on 50 series GPUs. But normal DLSS Upscaling has been around since the 20 series.
2025 and still no adjustable HDR sliders in most games. Also saw negative comments to "no widescreen support". These things should be standard, but the game is so beautiful and runs and plays perfectly, it does deserve a positive review anyways. Just unfortunate that we have to mod and fix stuff ourselves to get these settings we want.
If you have a decent gpu and play 1440p you will cap 120fps in this game. Same for 4k 90-120 depending on your rig. Its not an insanely graphical game to reach 120fps
Framerate itself is okish but the the game stutters a bit and the lack of improved shadows res and casade over the laughably bad ps5 verison is also disappointing. Stutters way more then Remake did for me but at least we have dlss this time Also heard tons of crashing and weird textures and models all over the place. I mean FF16 ran at 20fps for me so doing 4k max dlaa 80+ is cool even though the graphics are underwhelming at times and I had to cap it to 60 to minimize the stutter
Cheapest RTX 5080 is 1460 USD or R27000 in South Africa. What the f#$% 😭 Praying that the RTX 5070 will have a reasonable price and at least be on par with the RTX 4070 Super or slightly better for a reasonable price
Just saw as well. Insane! At this point you might be better off with a used 4070 Ti Super or something. These prices are crazy, and I dont think the 5070 is going to be closer to MSRP either :(
@Mostly_Positive_Reviews the used market for RTX 4000 series is a joke in this country. All are priced too high unfortunately because I can only find models that are well above cheaper models so they sell close to the price of the cheapest palit version. I'm gonna keep praying that somehow the 5070 doesn't have the same fate 😭🙏🧎♂️
much better than the last few offerings and come on no final fantasy what kinda savage are you sir haha
I have no culture, I blame my parents 😔
well I guess we'll let it slide just this one time@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews

Yeah, the settings are pretty basic, very similar to other FF ports we've seen, and they dont really scale that well, even in FFXVI.

hate to say it but 3900x is a massive bottleneck on a 4090 compared to recent cpu's. Though I would try using DLSS
