As with all mods you might get mixed results with this. To completely remove this fix just delete the dxgi.dll and dxgi.ini files in the game's directory. There are some reports of controllers stopping working, some crashes, etc. This also doesnt seem to work on Linux at all.
It's an issue with optimization, (obviously you know that) but it's not like it's using too many resources, if you look at your task manager while playing, you'll notice that you'll be lagging while your gpu and CPU are under light stress- the game struggles to use a PC to it's fullest.
@@YegoKroeten Yes, I noticed when I suspected that the game was too slow, I don't have a powerful PC but it should be more than enough to run this game considering the other games i play. I hope that by the time it's released they'll do something to improve it, the demo patch helped but not enough

Thanks for the video, definitely going to try this! I have a 13600K and an Intel Arc A770 and was getting basically the same performance numbers as you did at the start lol At least I can confirm that Intel Arc gpus work well with the game, for anyone who wants to know that

@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews yeah, and decreasing settings doesnt work to increase fps in city, in some places. So the game needs a lot of improvement still. Goty nonetheless
After seeing how the game performed the day before yesterday I was quite bummed. I'm not an avid JRPG fan, but there are a few that I like, and this looked interesting. The game performing like this is really strange, and even stranger that a simple .dll file fixes it 🤣
I have had one or two crashes before this fix, but also 2 crashes after the fix, so not entirely sure the fix is causing it. It might though. Probably best to wait for the full game and then see if the fix for the full game works well. I downloaded K and did everything like you said to do, but nothing has changed. I have 4090 and 40 fps in the city…(with max settings and 4k but still damn it!) Game still is very dark btw, I had to max out the brightness setting
There is an updated version as well for the full game. It should be posted by the same user. Just check that thread to see if he shared a download link.
I saw some other people also mention their controller stopped working. Not sure if there is a new version of the mod yet, but unfortunately at the moment the only way to fix it is to remove the mod. My controller didnt stop working so I cant really troubleshoot the issue unfortunately.
Hey, unfortunately I didnt buy this game to test as it is way too expensive here. I have seen some comments about it and looking at some performance videos I dont think it has been fixed, but I could be wrong.
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews Oh, I see, guess then we ll need to wait a little longer for the users reviews. Ty for the reply, man. I was playing the demo on the Steam Deck and it was running at 40fps on closed spaces but getting massive drops otherwise, like 22-35 fps.
@@johangp1990 Yeah, the demo in particular was very rough, even on high-end PCs. It sucks because I think the Atlus games are good, so if they can sort out the performance issues it will be great.
I think it's best to see what the final game runs like. In many cases the demo runs much worse than the official release so it's really hard to tell whether the PS5 version will still have those issues with the full game.

Funny how the game uses the same engine as Persona 5 but has such a poor performance considering that the engine doesn't require much

I will 👍. This week has just been very hectic so had very little time for videos.
No idea why this is recommended and I don’t know anything about this game. It it gives me Kenshi vibe so I would now check it out
Hahaha! UA-cam works in mysterious ways!
Does fullscreen or borderless gives more fps and stable?
At least for the demo there was no difference, so I would assume for the full game it would be the same.
I have a question do you know why when I set my game to full screen at my laptop's resolution I still see back bars on top and bottom of my screen?
Hmm, is your laptop using an Ultra-Wide screen, or a screen that is not 16:9?
This method doesnt work on linux, it literally uses all of the memory and crashes the PC unless the program closes.
I played Baldurs Gate 3 on ultra at an average of 50 - 60 fps without dlss and 80 - 100 fps with dlss. But this game doesn't even work at minimum
