I agree, Scott is such an awesome value. Plus, you dont see a lot of them when youre out on the road! I have the Addict RC 20 with Sram force axs and I swapped the stock wheels with Farsport carbon wheels with DT Swiss 240 and I coudlnt be happier.
Thanks for the review, 100% this bike doesn't get nearly enough airtime. The grape vine tells me that a new generation of Addict RC will launch end of this year, available early 2025 - I'm excited to see how Scott take the Addict to the next level, especially when you consider pairing it with a set of juicy Capital SL 40s, whenever they emerge into the real world.
Thanks for the feedback ! Unfortunately I cannot speak on the Zipp and Enve wheels. I can say though that the Peak are excellent wheels and the wave in the design really does help with crosswinds as compared to the ROVALS on our SL7.
Hi Duffy, am owning an addict RC Pro and thinking about a foil in addition , but question is like is it worth , i mean does it need two high level bikes Living in south Germany with more hills than flats but the foil now is so light - should also be a good climber though
Hey man! No you definitely don’t need the Foil. But of course if we riders always want both! The Foil holds speed a bit better on the flats but the Addict is definitely a better climber. What is the depth of the wheels on the Addict? I run the Princeton Peak 4550 wheels and they are fast and hold speed well. Maybe you can invest in a second set of of wheels (50MM depth) for Crits and other flatter races? That would be cheaper than a second bike. I have not ridden the latest version of the Foil and while it is a bit lighter than the previous version, i still dont think it will be as good as the Addict in the hills. Let me know what you decide!
Hi mate, the addict is pure pleasure , true , riding it with Fulcrum 40wheels . It’s even more a supersonic with the SL carbon , hence even bit lighter than the pro. Love it . Just thought about a foil as there is a good used offer currently in Best Thomas
@@duffyrides recently i compered rc15 to emonda slr9 with ultegra And trek is noticably lighter, weights 7.1kg with pedała/ however 30% more expensive Out od my buget

Nice ! Sounds like you have a great setup.
thank you for the great review, looking at 2024 rc15 and this may have just sold it for me
Glad I could help ! Thanks for the feedback.

@@Hunttherider thanks appreciate it ! Yes the new one should be right around the corner I’m thinking.
I just bought Scott Addict RC 40 2023 and can’t wait to take it out … it’s the best bang for buck out there
Congrats on the new bike ! They are excellent machines. Enjoy it.
Great review!
Thanks greatly appreciate it !
Great bike and excellent review video. Would you say the Peak 4550 wheels perform as good or better than Zipp or ENVE wheels of similar depth?

@@thomasherzog9037 sounds good . If you buy the Foil , let me know how it goes. 👍
So the foil for flat addict for hills.
I’d say so. However the Addict is also fast on the flat with the right wheels.

what is the maximum tire size?
Hey there. Officially I believe it is 28 and I run 28s. However there is a lot of room there and I see no reason why you couldn’t run 30s.
