Weber Smokefire SEAR+ DO NOT BUY!
Was a new replacement in January, no better than the EX6. I wouldn't wish this poorly designed POS on an enemy. The only thing it does reliable is frustrate and dissappoint. The chief engineer should be fired for releasing these products to market.

Lapp Wheels Wagon Wheels - replacement bearing was used and wheels wobble
Переглядів 153 місяці тому
The wobble isn't a deal breaker, I realize these are for low speed and offroad but I guess I just expected more and hope quality is tighter where needed. The bearing ordeal is a quality issue (ID too small) compounded by less than expected correction or compensation. Not only did I have to wait a week for the replacement bearing but sent me a USED bearing! It was probably out of a quality defec...

Weber EX6 - another flame out I WANT MY MONEY BACK
Переглядів 139Рік тому
The grill choked itself out going from 250F to 350F, what a disappointment year and a half with this grill. More frustration than enjoyment and easy grilling. I had a good run after removing the hand grate recently but this is the final straw. I do not recommend this grill, I can't, it's been too troublesome.
Weber EX6 Failed to Start E6 - after improper shutdown.

Weber EX6 Auger inspection - Weak design.

they're using the bolt as a shear pin essentially, I'd rather rely on the motor to pause/reset if excessive torque is observed.

Weber Smokefire EX6 Failed to start E5 and E6- restart
Переглядів 1,6 тис.Рік тому
I've frequently had failed starts and E5 and E6 errors from my Weber Smokefire. The initial feed rate is too high during startup and overwhelms the ignitor. If I scoop out the overflowing flame pot and slow down the feed rate by intercepting the addition of majority of the pellets until there's a good flame started, it starts every time. It's not mechanical or electrical issue, it's a controls ...

Aqua-Vu AV722 Initial Review

Not impressed for the money. Too many design misses such as: -RCA video output cable. Listed as RCA per Aqua-Vu but is actually a micro USB cable output with an included RCA to USB-A to USB-C triple adapter. - I'm saddened to see a new product released with the worst and only obsolete of the USB options. Micro USB was phased out of cell phones around 2010 due to mechanical weakness and a low in...

So I am not interested in attacking you over your video the way some people in the comments have, but I do have a couple suggestions. 1. You absolutely have to clean your grill better. Yes, a pellet grill is more fussy than a propane grill, but they work well with proper maintenance.2. contact weber for the gen 2 upgrade parts.

The Smokefire was a complete failure and disaster for Weber. But there are enough idiots out there to buy their Searwood experiment. Pit Boss, ZGrills and Traeger have been sellin top notch pellet grills for years. Less expensive...better quality.

Come on man , looks like your grille is well used, so it can’t be that bad, I’m willing to bet you got some great cooks out of this thing. I will say this , I keep my grille maintained and I have never had a problem ,your looks like it needs some temp probe cleaning and tlc.

Sounds like ALL your issues are self inflicted. This is an awesome smoker and I've had very little issues with mine and it's one of the very first on the market and a first gen model with all the upgrades. So, operator error is why you're not happy with it. When properly maintained, it's flawless and smokes better than my Big Green Egg!

Been having nothing but issues on my EPX6 smokefire as well. Keeps getting flame outs and struggling to get to temp. It takes over an hour and a half to get to 600 degrees F. I've been dealing with support and keep replacing things, but nothing is working. Replaced the auger, replaced the glow plug, replaced the fan, replaced the felt pads, removed finger guard, deep cleaned and vacuumed the entire grill, used only fresh Weber pellets, none of it works. I agree with you, I think there is a programming issue. If only they allow you to control the feed rate and set the igniter to light manually instead of only at the start. What did you end up doing with your grill and are you still having problems? I am ready to throw this $1500 junk in the trash.

I have had the Gen 2 SF for about two years and has worked flawlessly. It’s like anything in life…you take care of things and use them as designed they will last and work correctly. This dude clearly did not take care of this unit. 100% user error.

Lol,, you should clean that grill, it helps a lot! The ash pot needs to be cleaned between each cook! A putty knife to scrape and a shop vac to wonders! If all that ash sets on the bottom, it will hold moisture and the steel will rust! Part of cooking on a grill is properly cleaning when done! Doesn’t matter what brand you have!

I clean the grates all the time and empty the catch tray. The rest of the issues are design flaws

    • @therealistxo7550
      @therealistxo7550 9 місяців тому

@@t-bonesdirtydeedsllc8108 it’s not the grates and the catch tray you only have to clean, in the manual it specifically says, clean out the auger, if you pull it out you’ll be amazed to find a build up of unburnt compressed pellet. What happens is that it builds up from all that turning and grinding and it creates friction in the chamber, slows down the auger turn and in turn stops an even pellet drop, which will cause you intermittent fire/smoke problems.

Have a gen1, no issues. The early software builds did suck, but it's much better now. Just make sure the smoker is balanced and level, so grease runs down properly.

Highest maintenance grill you've ever dealt with? LMFAO! Does not look like you have done much maintenance to me. That's the filthiest pellet grill I have ever seen. I cannot believe you have not burned your house down with a grease fire. Just an example of how you roll is all those pellets that you dropped on your deck, they've been there so long there disintegrating.

I was riding a 1999 KX250 and never needed to pit. Races are 2 hours plus a lap. Stoney does allows for pitting but for most B and C riders it's not necessary. The A riders complete more laps and I do see them pitting. Link to Stoney's website: www.stoneylonesomemc.com/index.html
