awesome stuff thanks for sharing ...peace
Some really nice finds. Thanks for sharing
Nice river finds👍🏻
Dang man...Killer haul !!!🔥🔥
Lots of really nice finds! You have an awesome place to look for artifacts. Love that Table rock!
It’s so crazy the variety of stuff we find you just never know what is going to be next.
What killer artifacts!!! We got our kayaks, ready to hit the river for sure!
Definitely a good time to be on the water!
I knew you'd have a video out this week! It's been killing me sitting at home when conditions are good for the first time all year. I think that one at 8:15 may also be a Table Rock. And GAWD dang, that broken axe, Mikey! What a killer that would have been. Stay on 'em, I'll be back at it in a day or two also.
Man it had been rough up until this last week and finally started getting some good stuff to come out. I’ve got a few sites that still needed a few days. I’m hoping the river gets better before the summer crowds get out.
I believe that is a table rock at 815 it’s close enough where I have typically found them
@@RiverRatArtifacts Yeah, it has been a rough 4 or 5 months, and still a lot of silt. I went out this evening against doctor's orders, and got a couple nice ones, but everything is still silted worse than I expected. Then, like you said, the summer crowds will be out soon. But worst day on the river beats about anything else.
Dude you are on a heck of a spot. I dont find anything like that on the Ohio where I am
I’ve spent alot of time and miles on the river I honestly believe it’s more of when to look than where. But I do agree I’ve been blessed with a good spot.
Point with the thinning strikes on the base sure looks like a worn out Clovis....
Not ruling it out. I do find a lot of older stuff on this site. Lecroy / mccorkle type stuff have recently found a couple nice blades.
That would be awesome if 3:00 was paleo! You sure pulled some smokers. Ive never seen a base like that one at 6:00- Super cool.
So the site I found the 3:00 point typically I find mid to late archaic stuff haven’t found paleo there yet but I’m still looking. 6:00 I believe is the Buck creek family I’ve found a few but always are broke.
Artifact at 4:17 is a flake blade
Awesome finds buddy! I looked for you on my trip down the Ohio this week. I didn't do as good as you, but I found some artifacts. That axe is enormous. It would have been hard to swing. Good luck on your next hunt!
We actually spent it in Nashville so I missed a good chunk of perfect river weather
And I look forward to seeing what you found.
@@RiverRatArtifacts It was a little warm in the afternoon, but still not too bad.
@@RiverRatArtifacts I'm going to publish the video this evening.
Two questions: I'm an EXTREMELY NEW amateur hunter, in Kentucky, on the Ohio river...[1.] Is this cache all in ONE day? [2.] Is it legal for me to just walk up & down the riverbank hunting?
@@Matthew...1979 this particular video I found the cache in one day. Legally you can walk along the water to the high water mark along the river. But I like to obtain permission from the landowner.
@@RiverRatArtifacts wow, thanks for answering so quickly!!! And understood, I definitely don't want to be looking over my shoulder while hunting. And I want to be hunting Honestly as well. [I'm really glad I stumbled across your channel]!!!
You are a Rockie I hear them beat together in your hand they small not a blunt crapper practice on the names take you something to rap them no blunt it's not the same if you are going to collect arrow heads have respect that drill not a beveled
I mean no disrespect to you. I believe I have a lot to learn about Native American culture/ history. I admit I’m not the best with names/ types of points or material types but I’m learning and will continue to get better but I’m human and make mistakes.
Wise men encourage those who are passionate about a hobby. If you have something to teach then by all means go ahead, but try and do it humbly.
Perfect response my friend. We need more of that these days. Good luck on your hunting. I hunt creeks up West Central Kentucky way.
