I got so engrossed in this piece. This idea was from my sketchbook, I've wanted to do something with it for a while and this piece felt like the perfect oportunity. I started off playing some upbeat Christian music and dancing along as I was drawing. Just trying to loosen up and be free and expressive. This soon began to be a very contemplative piece for me. Drawing the cross of Jesus Christ, whilst listening to worship music. I ended up shedding a tear. Lyrics - First Hymn - I Would Go There: I would go there, I would go there Where my Jesus I may see. We are in the same boat my friend. Maybe we don’t have to say anything in stone? I don’t think I’m going to be able to. I may have to be a bit more fluid for the sake of keeping up momentum.

Hi all :o) I hope you enjoy the footage from my studio time. I am not saying that my process etc is the best way to do things. I even make a few mistakes in the video but I left it all in. Can you spot the mistakes? So this is just raw footage of me working and learning. Then again, I think that is often just a part of the process. Sometimes thinks don't come out as expected but they turn into happy little mistakes. We just keep moving forwards, learning and growing. Onwards !!

The video came out a little blurry. I tried using an old camera as I was having a problem with my newer one. I got the focus a little off. Hopefully you can see okay.

I think it looked pretty cool. I didn't go into much detail on that one as it was just meant to be a quick exercise. The second one is a white on white painting so it looks very light and subtle. I rushed the initial plotting out of the proportions. I think, looking back at it, that I put the eye on the left side at the wrong angle, then as I build downwards from that it all got a bit out of wack. I kept trying to fix it, but was just making it worse. So I went back and painted over that area of the painting and I think the nose and mouth look better now. I still need to work more on blending skin tones though. The last one is a black on black painting. This one was very challenging but I'm pleased with how the gold makeup came out. I didn't have any metallic paints, so I'm glad that I learned how to do this effect using just basic colours. I didn't plan originally to have the greenish tint to her skin, I was originally going for purples and yellows. But I thought the green went well with the gold colour so I just ran with it.

One thing I forgot to mention is that with hindsight, I should have added the black pan pastel at the end. It became quite hard to work on this drawing once I had added it, as it was getting on my hands and smudging. The statue I used for reference: Humanity Against Evil, 1908 (marble), by Gaetano Cellini. The book I mentioned is called: Keys to Drawing - Bert Dodson. To answer the question on why Mr. Pittman‘s videos have very few views - that’s because most Christians are asleep and are complacent and don’t think that they need to change. And also that many think that it’s : once saved, always saved … a lot of southern Baptists are taught that and that’s the biggest LIE from the pits of hell. Paul said that : “we each must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.” Brother Pittman also said we’re living in the LAODICEAN CHURCH AGE and many Christians are going down below … also from what he said, 97% of the whole world’s population is going to hell, while 2% is going to heaven … that’s a terrifying thought … it goes to show how sleepy the LAODICEAN church REALLY is, in this day and age. LORD… I pray that Your children can have their eyes opened. I pray that no one goes down below. We MUST WARN THE PEOPLE !
