I love LK150 machine
Hello dear thanks so much for the video, can you teach us wafle stitch in this ribber
Hi! I also love knitting socks on a knitting machine. I have a Brother 894. ❤❤❤ I knit socks in a circle on both sides and this results in a different yarn pattern.
❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Really helpful! Thank you!!
is it possible to make a string vest on a knitting machine? many thanks
I am not sure if you know how helpful this was. I have been learning all the techniques, practicing different hems, making some swatches and generally dancing around the whole main subject, too afraid to jump in and actually make something. 😂 This succinct, basic and easy to follow tutorial is giving me the courage to finally just make the darn sweater hahahaha. So yarn is ordered, skills prepped, video saved and noted, wish me luck ! 🤞🏾🍀
This is not easy for beginners to follow at all.
Put the cast on come UNDER THE YARN WITH THE TEETH FACING YOU!! I can't believe all these years I've been trying to machine knit I was putting the cast on comb on the yarn with the teeth facing the machine and because of that losing stitches because I didn't see that all of them hadn't connected! And it looks WAY easier to pull the yarn off the ends of the comb when it's longer than the knitting! Mind blown!
What kind of machine is this??
Would love an update on this video where you show how to join this on the machine (join as you go!) and even something similar for a mitten if possible! Love your videos as always, clear and straight to the point.
Hi Danielle I have a brother kh260 too and I’ve successfully knitted chunky weight yarn on it. I’ve had more success though with worsted weight yarn and the carriage moved more smoothly. I’ve also used DK yarn and double stranded it and it also worked. I think you’re right though about the machine being delicate and temperamental. I’ve had issues with it. Love your videos and patterns. Look forward to more.
Love this concept! When I do the second half of the short rows, it looks like the stitches are accumulating on the peg, especially the one closest to the stitches on hold. Have you had this happen or maybe others have? The first part goes A-OK, then the issues starts when I start pushing the stitch back and wrapping. Thanks! AND PS, do you usually put the mattress stitch on the side of the sock so the seam isn't on your foot? Thanks
Useful test: What is the appropriate thread thickness for this machine and the number of meters per 100 grams for this type? Thank you.
Thank you! I am very new to knitting I don’t believe I would be able to do the sweater. I hope you will have more classes as I get experience.
Thank you. Nice clear instructions with a smile!
The link to the pattern won’t work 😢
Sorry about that, try this please... loveyourknittingmachine.podia.com
I’m try to find a tutorial that is knitting a sweater on the 260 with the ribber as I can’t seem to find one. Do you have one available? I’ve knitted 20 rows of 1x1 but now am stuck 😂😂
You can use this free pattern. It's at loveyourknittingmachine.podia.com
This is incredible. I’ve wanted a flatbed machine for a long time, but I get scared. It seems so complicated! But it’s also so pretty and fast!
There is a bit of a learning curve but there are lots of people willing to help you through it. 😁
Can you show how you stitch these up? I hate feeling a seam and every time I stitch these on the side there is a seam! 😅
Yes, I show it in the 3 day sock challenge. It's free to sign up. Loveyourknittingmachine.podia.com
How many rows i would need compare to a standard gauge Maschine
You'd want about double the stitches on a standard gauge machine.
@ thank you!
@ double stitches on the side and double rows either?
Yes
Can you suggest an online company to buy replacement parts. I was gifted a sizeable stash of knitting machines. They all need a bit of attention and replacement of the sponge bars. Thank you in advance for your time!!!
You can find a lot of parts on Amazon and eBay, Etsy too. There are companies like Angelika's Yarn store and AllBrands. And some other independent restorers you'll find in Facebook groups. Depends on where you are too.
I spin wool probably around a U.S. 3-5 I was looking to buy a machine and I think I can get a singer 155 or a 360k is one better then the other? Thanks for your timr
Sounds like you'll want the Singer 155. It's a great machine and honestly, bulky machines are harder to find so you should grab it while you can.
Yeah, the 2x1 is a clear improvement. Thanks for showing the difference!
You're welcome.
❤❤❤❤
I don’t have a ribber but I prefer the 2x1. I think it looks nicer. I’ll use my LK 150 for the December KAL and do it by hand.
I like the 2x1 also. Curious as I am new to machine knitting, do you mean you will do the ribbing by hand and transfer to the knitting machine? Or is there another way to do a true ribbing on the machine? Thanks.
Sounds great!! You can also do a mock rib or folded hem.
@mrsworms You can latch up the stitches you want to 'purl' for the ribbing. I show this in the baby washcloth video.
@@LoveYourKnittingMachine Great! I will check that out and do some samples. Thanks.
Curious what tension you use with the sock yarn/ fingering weight? Thanks!
Usually a 5 or 6 on a standard gauge machine. Depends on the yarn though. Sometimes I need to go up to 7.
@ thank you ☺️
Where can I get one to buy and how much?
If you want a new one you can get one here. amzn.to/3BBBv4w It's an ok starter machine. You can also find them used on Facebook marketplace or Ebay. Just be careful that they know how to pack them for shipping. They are fragile machines.
Where do getti buy one
Hi! I've just acquired a knitting machine (an ekra 12), but I have no idea how to use it or set it up. I'm used to knitting by hand. I was wondering if you were planning on doing a presentation or "discovery" video about knitting machines, something for people who are complete strangers to it, or have any existing videaos to recommend? The manual that comes with my machine is making me go crazy actually! In the meantime, your videos are great x
Thanks for these reviews, Danielle! I love Ferris Wheel for infinity scarves on my Addi circular machine, but I haven’t tried it on my flatbed because I thought it was too thick. I’ll give it a shot today - yay!
i love that neck ribbing! Very stylish!
Thank you! 💕
Thanks for the pattern. I will try to knit my first pair of socks in a machine 😬. Is there a deadline or is this a on-your-own kind of challenge? Thanks
That's great. It will be up for a week.
Hello - link not working.
Thank you ! It should work now.

Thank you! It should work now.
You inspired me. I’m making some for my grandsons for Christmas.
That's great!
Your channel is such a great resource for machine knitting! I’m a hand knitter who just recently got my first flatbed knitting machine and it’s been such a learning curve, I appreciate your awesome patterns and helpful hints! 💚
Thank you so much!
Bulky: Brother KH260 (with ribber & color changer) Brother KX 390 Convertible (both bulky & standard) Ultimate Sweater Machine (plastic bed) Bond Knitting Machine with Ribber (plastic bed) KnitSmart Afghaner Mid-gauge: LK150 Bond Elite (with extension) Brother KX350 Standard: Brother 551 Studio 560 I find I use the bulky or mid-gauge machines mostly. That's quite a collection! I started on an Ultimate Sweater Machine 💖 wouldn't go back given a choice though 🤣
it's perfect. I'm just looking for a solution for my yarn right now. And here you are ... thank you. Have a nice day
This is sooooooo helpful! I was desperate a minute ago and O feel relief now!
Hello! Will the needle beetle fit on the Brother KH 260? I would LOVE not to have to make a punch card for every design.
Not that I know of.
I'm a beginner and I can't make head not tail of any of this 😔
Try one of our other sock patterns first then this will make more sense.
When I was a beginner, I was the same. One thing I would do differently is instead of trying to make sweaters to begin with, I would make a whole bunch of squares. One for every single stitch pattern in my knitting machine.
Hello are the individual videos for this pattern than cost $5 more detailed?
Yes, the videos are much more detailed.
I don't really understand this tutorial... The problem is with the ribber but you changed the sponge bar on the main bed?
I am a beginner love the video but im not ready for all this seemed so detailed i need more precise instruction
I do have videos of easier beginner projects. Once you get used to your machine and making something then sweaters will seem less confusing. This video is pretty quick for UA-cam but our patterns come with step by step videos that are slower.
Where did you get your cast on comb?
It came with one of my machines.
The bind off you do at about 5 minutes in seems life changing. Thank you I really have to move to that.
hi, I have a question. at 7min you move one stich to the right and then these 2 stitches together to the left. Is there a difference just the move the right one on the left to have these 2 on the same position? Is it just to hide the manipulation on the right side ? (I guess I understand while I was writing the question)
Exactly. It just changes the look on the right side.
