I TRIED FLIPPING BIKES FOR PROFIT (SIDE HUSTLE)
Can you actually make money flipping motorbikes for profit in the UK? That's the question I had so I tested it out by buying the cheapest (and worst) Yamaha MT125 in the country with the plan of fixing it up and selling it for profit!

Are you being honest about what you paid for the car because It’s still worth more than 500 with the problem he sold it you with ..what a doughnut
Nice video buddy.
@@alwyjahdhamy8094 thanks pal! Appreciate it 🫡
chain is checked and adjusted while on the side / kick stand. You overtightened it.
Don’t forget tax on the profit and tax on the UA-cam videos aswell
@@bobjit252 don’t pay tax on cars unless it’s more that 6 per year and the small amount of UA-cam video income has nothing to do with the flip?
@ No your getting it wrong your buying and selling for profit you make you tube videos which generates profit , you still have to pay tax on your profits .
@ google it mate, you get 6 tax free car sales that don’t count as capital gains per year
@@Josh.Sanderson pal you have to pay tax self assessment if your buying and selling cars bikes etc making money from your tube videos I think you need to read up about it
@@Josh.Sanderson ok put it like this I buy six high end cars with high value where there is a lot of profit to be made you make 50 grand profit of course you have to pay tax 🤦♂️ even if there low value cars and you make 500 quid they still count towards your yearly allowance and you should declare what you earn from you tube
The chain is tight as a bow. It will wear out quickly.
Yeah I got told that by my colleagues and fixed it, aswell as the chain link being incorrect
Nice to see someone who repairs cars that i think woud end up at the junkyard❤
It was a really nice sense of achievement getting something back to the point it can be really appreciated
Yes, another subber here. Really enjoyed the content and look forward to binge-watching your other videos - well done
Thanks for the sub man I really really appreciate it, hopefully the other videos don’t disappoint!
Yeah I’m in. Great video!
@@MBen-gt1nc haha thank you man!!!
Hey Josh Hope your still keeping busy with your flipping and Videos. Do you have a regular job on the side as well? Can you tell me what tool you are using at 0:53 to loosen the O2 sensors I need to change mine on my BMW and this looks ideal. Good luck with it all.
Hey man, yeah I have a full time job needed to pay the bills! It’s called crows foot spanner, insanely useful for things with wires on!
@@Josh.Sanderson Super helpful thanks, I'd bought the Halfords Socket that goes over the top of them but it doesn't work very well at all. I finally got my first video uploaded to my channel after watching your videos inspired me to give it a go. Thanks and keep up the good work, the bike video was an interesting change as well.
yes it help me get shit sponsors and tell you to get raid while i take the money
@@289kman why so mad man? I need to make money to pay my bills so I can keep making videos it’s that simple. I do all of this along side a full time job

I'd love to see more motorcycle stuff. There aren't a lot of channels who make this kind of content and do it that well.
Most of the times chain tension must be done with the bike on the side stand.
did this man really drive across country with no bike permit
No I was insured , motd, and licensed
Thats why you only buy used car from first owner. Feel sorry for anyone that bought that piece of junk for 4k
Hello mate, loving your videos. Did you do an apprenticeship to learn to fix cars or are you self taught? thanks
Thanks man! I’m self taught!
@ thanks for the reply. How long did it take you to get to a good level? Where did you learn from as well?
@@uk2575 I just learnt from trying mainly, and youtube/forums when i got stuck.
If you had ever changed an air filter on an 1800 Goldwing you would think that the one you did was pretty easy :)
😂😂😂
In your country do the words "water and soap" exist? It's sad to know that you put new parts on a dirty motorcycle
Im sorry I upset you, I’ll try harder next time
A horible high pitch squeak always means check then belts and pullys XD tho most common reason for a squeak is a seizing pully
Things don't go like this on vintage bikes! You spend a few days just getting the engine case bolts off 🤣
I can imagine! Dreading the day I work on a much older bike 😂
I find it amazing people will still list a car that is absolutely filthy inside and out, claim its mint and "probably only could do with a clean." Will never buy such a vehicle, if they can't be arsed cleaning it they never looked after it imo.
What year was the bike
Yeah... there's a lot of nicked bikes out there you can make a killing on if you swap the numbers on them... And you need to learn before trying to sell a bike with a chain that tight. You could cause someone a serious accident, not that it would be your responsibility after they've taken it away...
Sinceramente não entendo até hoje porque pessoas abandonão carros tão bom assim que podem ser usados, como se fosse um brinquedo que cansou de brinca e jogou em um canto do quarto!
You installed the chain spring link incorrectly. The closed end must face the direction of chain travel.
Treat yourself and upgrade them old triple monitors 😉
Wish I could afford to xD Too busy buying broken cars haha
@Josh.Sanderson Keep up the content and hard work and rewards will soon follow. It's just about consistency on these platforms. Best of luck mate.
@@ImTrimaxthanks mate I really do appreciate it! Another year of graft coming
What were you thinking setting off to ride home with a back tyre on the canvas and metal to metal brake pads.
Thats normal for most 125cc bikes. Never maintained property But that new chain is far to tight.
What's a "moe-or-cycle" ?
I don’t know what is it?
love the video - wish you were a bike channel I'd sub and watch everything! get a stripped bolt extractor you'll not get that lucky again :D they are like little bores that are reverse threaded and you may not have to drill out and re-tap bolts like that. ( without getting lucky ) maybe get a van for transporting bikes? that's what I would do - or one of those mini japanese trucks so I could also use it for little family outings :D wasn't your ride back home illegal? ( no mot, insurance .. I'm assuming you had a CBT done..) I'd be interested for my own adventures but I think for that you need some sort of special cover and an mot pass cert? did you have temp cover? For rear wheels you can get this little blow up cushion thing on amazon that will hold the wheel at just the right height to get the rear axle through. You can set correct chain tension on any bike without knowing specs by compressing the rear suspension until the swing arm is positioned so that it creates a straight line to the front sprocket (impossible for the chain to get any tighter when suspension is compressed whilst riding) then setting one inch of play from there. Gas powered solder is peng for this type of work I may get one. my god use flux though, so much easier. should have replaced the right brake lever before selling as it is an obvious sign that it's been dropped or crashed. Oh my god the left is bent too.. Always good to look online with the bike reg to history check it for theft and to get an idea of what repairs you might need to do - or avoid buying altogether! marketplace monitor app 25 quid a month damn I was interested but... too much. anyway I subbed just to support your channel although I'm not into cars.
Thanks for the support and kind words man! A lot of valuable information there thanks man! Also I know it does seem a lot but if you flip one bike it pays for an awful lot of it and I know I’m biased but I genuinely can’t flip cars or bikes without it anymore, there’s so many people doing it all the good deals get taken up so quickly
Nice teng box 👌
Very lucky to have it, makes working on cars so much fkn easier not having to go back and forth getting tools
@Josh.Sanderson My Dad works for them as 'end user development manager' but hes just about to retire or I would have linked you up. Not like Teng need the extra business though 😂 Good luck my man I think your channel is going places 👍
@@Clan501-Scotland I was actually talking to guy at teng and they sent out some tools for me, but recently I cant seem to get any replies from them, Im wondering if the fella I was talking to has left. Any help from your dad would be great!

So happy I found your vids
Haha thanks man!
Loving your content and looking forward to you reaching 100000 subscribers and you will just watch this space .he haaa
Bro did oil change on a side stand. And measured the oil level on the same.
I measured the oil flat, just don’t put in every single detail into the video otherwise it would be boring
@Josh.Sanderson Cool ...did a nice job. ❤️ From India.
If you don't know what you're doing, please take the bike to a professional. 2 wheels can be very dangerous if stuff isn't done properly.
I greased my shaft...I know what you we're implying. I'm dying! 😂
😂😂😂
I would like to know how on EARTH you managed to get insurance for ~£60 as a new rider? I just bought a very similar Yam MT-125 after doing my CBT (think I'm a similar age to you and have been driving a car for 10 years) and the cheapest possible insurance was 1k for the year after much shopping around. But enjoyed the video thanks
Depends a lot where you are too, but I didn't have the bike for a year obviously it was £60 for 1 month
Wow. I pay €72,- a year for a Dutch registered 600.
Negotiation skills with seller were lacking for sure..
I've done well with other sellers, but this guy refused to knock anything off the price, amazed i even got the 50 off from him
Awesome video brother !! Why didn't you use electric power drill as screwdriver? Is it cuz there were different types of screws?
Thanks man! I just don’t have an impact gun or any bit holders for my drill is all!
@Josh.Sanderson Ohhh ok it will save loads of time and energy. Thanks for taking the time to reply 😊
I'm not sure how cold it is up there,, but why no detail? Or at least wipe down plastics and frame while plastics are off. A tiny baking soda sand blaster with a plastic bottle and air compressor (cheap fast) for rusty spots, polishing pad on a buffer for scratched plastics and fuzzy headlights. Before I fix I clean. Fun watch I'll sub
It always bothers me when people use power drill or impact to disassemble or assembly of new parts. Thank you for using proper tools
Why I only see this now :)) 40 k subs GG mate!
Haha thanks man!
A scouse 12k mile 125. Brave!
nice work mate fully enjoyed watching this from cars to bikes! what next!
Thanks man really glad you enjoyed!!!
Yeah never trust anything anyone says; I went to go buy a BMW and the bloke swore it was all good etc, after my checks the engine was lumpy, ticking & had water in the oil; told him to shove it and left
