Here we have a live performance video that looks to have been shot at Ralph Stanley's festival near warren, virginia. NOTE: if i could i would remove the advertisements of the shitty movies, products, ideas, corporations, stores, cel providers, etc. but i cannot because the music is owned by someone else. my apologies. nothing like frosting a great cake with horse shit!!!!!!
Jesse McReynolds solo performance 'okechobee wind'

Jesse wrote this instrumental with Vassar Clements in the late 90's I think. Check out the pinky nail fretting single strings on his mandolin. A true pioneer in music. Jesse also played on a Doors record.

jimmy gives a tour of his hermitage, tn homestead. he sure cussed a lot that day. this is film #1 in a series of short films about Mr. Good'n Country, quite possibly the last of the unfiltered bluegrass performers. He called it like his Sneedville, Tn eyes saw it. Remember, there are 2 kinds of tears and Jimmy has cried them both. Stay tuned for 35 more short films about Jimmy. RIP ole pal. NOT...
Ive got the cd this song comes from and remember how disappointed l was, not with Allison but the band, sounds like it had been recorded in a oil drum and thought it might had been Steve Earls influence. Still my favourite all time female singer.
Farred
As good as it is, this version leaves out the whole last verse "oh darlin, the songs they played, are all i got left of the love we made" Absolutely heartstring tugging. Im just learning guitar, this is definitely going on my list, although playing rhythm without Dave's picking seems a futile disservice to the song
I wrote this
Wow. An American treasure. What a story. An American dream come true. Thank you Jimmy Martin.
Peaches in the summertime and apples in the fall
channeling neil young
channeling Neil Young
He had the balls like a rhino and the talent to match.
Mike Bub Greatness !!!

Every true bluegrass fan misses Carter Stanley 🙏
I heard he was hateful to a fan but I still like his music
The very best of Jimmy Martin 😂 He was my Dad’s favorite bluegrass singer and he’s also mine too 😊 R.I.P. Jimmy you are missed more than you would ever have known ❤

Jimmy came from my neck of the woods. Sneedville, Tennessee a small town with 2 redlights
He helps us all!
The only thing positive of Ralphs passing is Lauderdale has disappeared too
Hello Lindsey how are you doing 👋👋
Funny
They are incredible live.
Awesome song.
Dawna Day
I believe he had been drinking when this cut was made!
Damn Jimmy didn’t know they was recording when he was doing all that cussing.
I don't think that would have made a d difference lol!
I love Bluegrass,I play Bluegrass myself. But I hate his foul language in this video. It was his business, but I can't stand this F and gd stuff. And after his cussing like this, and they play Will the circle be unbroken at the end, good grief.
was jimmy pretty good at guitar?
On rhythm he was hard to beat. He could actually pick a little bit on guitar as well as mandolin and fiddle. But he didn't really like to.
@@mandolinman2006 he sure also knew a lot about sounds and how he wanted it to come out , really had a great feel for how other songs were played and concepts for the way bluegrass should be played and played in the utmost respectfully manner to the genre.
Asshole that keeps dogs caged up... fuck u chick. But I love your music
I wish this were faster
THIS IS THE ONE !!!
What a Great Song here. I hear the Neil Young influence on this one. Neil would be proud.
Jimmie was real guy with real talent shame he never got to be a member of the grand ole opry !
Hell he couldn’t quit drankin long enough to be an Opry member. Lord Lord.
Yeah I think they know. It’s too good not to be proud of it. F you 9 thumbs downs
Sounds like a Neil Young band backing her.
SEVENTEEN FUCKIN HUNNERT
Jimmy Martin is the down to earth guy at the family reunion that only the black sheep of the family sit with🤣 and I love him lmao. Bad ass singer and from what I can see, as real of a star as you'll ever meet.
The bluegrass resurgence of the early 2000s didn't last long enough.
