BORLA EXHAUST on Lexus GS 350 REVIEW
No lie from new it’s costly if you take it to the dealer. The rear diff bushing would have costed me well over 2k. I did that myself. Same with engine mounts would have been 1000. I did it myself.
What a good video bro! I have a isf and a 2015 GS350 that I’m starting to mod out more and this helped a lot! Hope to run into you, I stay in SoCal / 562 🤝🏽
yoo hey eddie thank you for responding to my comment. ill have to use those eq settings, and i have put insolating in where the window controls are because of that rattle and became much better, ty much again we need more gs content bro!!! keep it up.
About the CAI mod you were asking for. Have you seen people cutting a large hole out of their stock airbox similar to how Lexus made the F-Sport air intake for earlier IS models. That keeps the stock filter, snorkel, and adds additional noise.
Nahhh I’m boutta unfollow for saying IS500 > GSF 😂 jk good looks on the shoutout brotha 🫡
Wow Amazing
Yeah, but I already HAVE a key fob cover on my wish list lol. Great video Eddie 👍
I have a 2013 GS 350 AWD with 170K miles and no issues at all I did have some brake rotor warping but just changed the rotors when I did the brakes, it's on the 3rd set of brakes, I have the cold air intake defiantly recommended. Other than having to change the clamp on a CV axle boot no issues at all, The biggest maintenance cost is tires really...
Hi Eddie do you plan on releasing more colors for your Lexus key fob cover? Wishing there was a black with silver stitching to match my black fsport interior. Keep up the content!
i'm getting 16.5 MPG on my 2013 GS350 AWD with 60K miles on it. Any recommendation on how to get it more fuel efficient ?
I have the same care I average 23 in the winter and 26 in the summer in CT. I would clean your intake and check your alignment, you must be doing a lot of city driving.
Thank you for the shout out bro. Great video!
Hey Eddie can you please tell me what car stereo I can use for the Lexus, mine is a 2007 GS350. The one I bought doesn't work.
I got 150k miles on mine originally everything…original spark plugs, coils, belts hoses, fans, coolant, trans fluid, water pump, fuel pump, starter, alternator with no CEL…I did lose my radio however when I changed my battery 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ I have a 2018 GS350 fsport
What was your 0-60 before?
Yooo. Tbh I never measured it so I just went with the advertised rate. But the car way more peppy. Before I always felt like I was a gear too low on the freeway. Now the car actually hustles.
Nice! I would probably need to do the “under the chin” method😂
Didn't even know that was a thing. Learned something new lol, might help in a pinch.
Excellent review.
Yooo Leon. Thank you. Glad I can help if you were looking for this info.
I just got a 2014 GS350 you just gave me some nice ideas haha great video!
Yooo. Thank you for watching 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for the heads up. I've heard Lexus have expensive repairs when they do need work. Saved me from buying a used one;
Ahhh it’s still reliable lol. None of the times in this vid will leave you stranded. They all have their procedures and don’t happen to everyone.
@@EddieGS350 used Lexus would be a decent gamble if you knew how they were maintained. Sadly, if you find one with low miles, it's almost as expensive as a new one. If you find one that you can afford, it's got 100k miles and is at the point you need to start sinking money back into it for shocks, and the items you mention. Too much of a risk for me. Thanks for your video
We hope you add our Wireless S-Connect Interface to integrate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to your factory system soon!
Ahh it's on the list :) just need to keep saving for it.
@@EddieGS350 Excited for your build to continue
Did you have to get hub centric rings or are they lug centric?
Ahh hub centric for sure. No issues at all.
Have you ever looked into the TRD parts that Toyota sells in japan? Bodykit, exhaust, and rims. I really want to get their rear diffuser and quad exhaust but it would be $2500 shipped from Japan. Havent seen any discussion about them, at least in English.
I have! It is crazy expensive. I am guessing you saw Lexus boutique too right? There is a rep quad exhaust floating around Alibaba. Might be worth looking into cause 2k for a diffuser is crazy.
@ I saw a site called Nengun performance has them for more reasonable prices but I have no clue what shipping would be. I know people in Japan that ship stuff to the US so I'm begging one of them to buy these and shove it in whatever free space on their container they have lol
one thing I wanna do is get a chrome delete wrap, especially around the grill. Really changes up the look. Newer F sport models do it now.
Ahh it is a pain in the butt. I tried wrapping a few other pieces and it is harder than it seems lol. You can get the part # from the blackline edition, it is a black chrome. I used to have it saved on my PC but I can't find it anymore. It is a direct swap for the front grill trims.
From my experience Shell, BP, and Exxon seem to be the best on my vehicles while Sunoco and any convenience store no name gas seems to be the worst.
Yeah shell has been good. I use it in a pinch. Your GS will last you a long time :)
Love that you still make content only place I go for anything GS related
Yoo Jorge, thank you. It means a lot. 2025 is gonna be a good year for sure!
I have owned several ES and GS. Didn't like the GS. GS looks large but interior felt small. The seats were wide and uncomfortable. Current generation ES looks sharper than GS. I have the ES 350 F-Sport.
Yeah the rear seats in the GS are adequate but there is some room missing in the back. Wish some of these cars had folding seats tho :(
Just bought a 2016 GS350, picking it up tomorrow, thank you Eddie!!! You saved my ass with this video, when i inspected it i heard the vacuum pump knocking and my heart stopped until i remembered this video i watched like 3 months ago Didnt subscribe at the time but you 110% earned it
Ahh I was in the same boat as you when I bought my GS. I was like wtf engine knock and it really wasn’t that well documented. Just two threads on ClubLexus. Your car has had that issue since 2016 and it has been fine all these years. It will continue to be fine, just enjoy the car :) I heard mine knocking this morning lol.
Imma try this. Thanks!
Let me know how it goes!
Lowering the car + front lip = Scrape city lol 😂
Think you are a resident of scrape city too lol.
Too much wheel gap on stock GS F-sports. 1st thing that had to go. Tein flex z coilovers was my 1st mod. Right over the tire for 1 finger. No rubbing, no regrets and rides like it’s on rails.
Ahh bro, you shouldn't have commented this cause I have so many q's! I want to get the Tein Flex Z when my struts finally blow. Do they ride like OEM? How soft are they?
@EddieGS350 I was skeptical about coils, but my struts were on their way out. I wanted full control over my ride height and stiffness. I was a loyal BC coilover guy but wanted to try something new and budget-friendly. Tein Flex Z’s were a solid option. Teins are well engineered, and I set my stiffness to 10s all around on the damper for moderate aggression and daily driving while maintaining near-stock stiffness. They still provide a smooth ride. Notably, they’re 16 way adjustable. Only thing is you’ll lose your Fsport plus adaptive system because there is no connection for the coilover that I am aware of. If there is a kit that connects with your stock “AVS” system then it may be more costly obviously, which I am unaware of any. Doesn’t throw any codes or anything. All in all I am satisfied and I was able to grab a set from fitment industries for $800 bucks.
@@Jeff-iu3qf ahh thank you so much. Yeah deff leaning toward it. Everyone who has owned them has said good things and for $800.
@@EddieGS350 Welcome🍻
There's a chick in there revving it isn't there. My wife revved it the same way when I wanted to shoot a clip 😂
Yeahh lol. My gf was in the car. The last rev actually scared me, you can see me get startled in my shadow lol.
I believe every single word you said……once you molested any factory setting on your car it is not the same ride as b4! I drove a second generation Gs….i put Bilstein shacks at the 4 corners with Megan spring car is not the same as before…… Don’t mention hitting a bump man!!!!
yeahh, hopefully tein coilovers will be a little bit better. The RSR down springs handle the little bumps super good but the big ones are cringe lol.
@ ❤️
👍🏾👌
Yooo man, thank you for the support. Always!
Can’t wait till I get a 15 gs 350 f sport. Have a 07 modded is350 ,but I’m having a kid soon so need something bigger. Keeping the is350 tho
As someone who came from a 2IS to a 4GS. The extra room will be there. I used to always cringe when I would have passengers lol. You will have the extra space for sure. Thank you watching and grats on your baby!!!
Did you install the carplay setup yet?
Money has been tight. When I do though, for sure I’ll make a vid.
But thank you for watching. I appreciate it 😭
@@EddieGS350 Bro, trust me I get it. I love this series as someone aiming to get a GSF/GS 350 next year.
Ah…the downside of mods, AKA - “the rule of unintended consequences”. Been there, done that WAY TOO MANY times! 😩 Numerous headaches and thousands of dollars later, I basically stick to non-invasive appearance mods. Lowering my car was absolutely the worst thing I ever did while living in Houston. Actually paid to return it back to stock. I feel your pain.
It’s been a headache but I love the way the car looks much. But true on the money 😭😭 I’m close to $4k on mods and I’ve been cheaping out.
Yow bro I’m feeling that same pain in my pocket!!! I’m so stupid of outside looks… Never again! Might be rims that’s it…
Whoa Covina is super local to me. I'm in Hacienda.
Brooo! I want to host a GS meet in 2025 😁😁 stay tuned for sure.
Great video. Have you tried Liquimoly Leichtlauf Hightec 5w40?
Oooh I’ve heard of it. I know a lot of mustang owners were putting it in their cars to quiet the bbq tick. Never heard of that specific product but I’ll look into it. Thank you for sharing.
@ yes give it a try and let us know your feedback. I’ve been using it for a decade. I sometimes use Total Quartz 9000 if Moly isn’t available. So far so good too.
Great vlog! I was crackin' up😂. But, Rota wheels are a brand in its own. You're not running "reps."
Ahh you are right. I told my gfs mom that they were made in the Philippines and that if they can withstand the roads in the Philippines they are good for us roads. She couldn’t stop laughing lol.
Welcome to 1993
Yooo. Welcome to the channel.
nothing like modding an old man's car so you don't look like an old man lmao
Lmao fav comment yet 😂😂 can’t deny it’s true tho.
@ fr tho good content, subbed!
If u dont like the gs size why u didnt go with a is bro
Ahh it’s a long story lol. Watch the why I sold my IS but the short story. I was getting chest pain and heart palpitations I thought it was my 2is f sport seats. So I sold the IS emotionally and got a car with bigger seats. It turns out that wasn’t the issue tho. It was due to me raising my shoulder all the time lol. But yeah I liked the stock size of my is more but a slightly lowered gs is the best of both worlds 😁😁
@@EddieGS350 ahh I get ya. I have a ford that had seats that gave me chest pain in seemed lol. I love my Lexus GS 350 seats tho. So comfy. I like ur GS, it's dope.
Suck!!@
Thank you for helping me diagnose the noise from my engine 🤣
Oooh watch the common issues on the gs 350 I go a little bit more into depth in that vid.
Just joined the G crew as well. 38k miles on a 2014 F Sport for less than a new Altima… couldn’t pass it up. Even at 10 years old, the car is amazing. Thanks for being one of the few that makes G specific content. I might have to join in once I scratch up some change for some mods
Yooo welcome to the team! A lot of GSes have crossed over to 200k miles. Even tho it is a bit older, it still has a lot of life. And yeah, I actually started this channel cause I was like I want to see GS vids on YT.
You were 100% right, I literally stare back at my IS ever since I got it( It’s been 1 month). I think later on I will go for a gsf though.
Ahh it's totally worth it. Sometimes I'll randomly leave my house, work. restaurant to go outside to look at my car lmao.
Recently joined the GS 350 squad and picked up a 2019 F Sport. I really want to lower it, but it's still amazing as is. Love your videos!
Ahh man, lowering it is my fav mod, even with all the drawbacks. The stance looks sooo good on these cars when they are a little bit lower. Also you don't feel like you are driving a SUV. I've heard Swift Springs ride a little bit softer than RSR and the drop isn't as much. Also w/o the lip I never scraped anywhere.
Do coilovers!! The RSR or HKS ,AVS coilovers ride so much better, than lowering springs alone!
There’s a plastic piece on the roof next to each side of the moon room that’s coming off and I was wondering if that will cause rain to get it?
Oooh I’ve heard if those get clogged water actually gets inside your car near the dome lights. Gotta be on the lookout 👀
@ I cleaned it up but one of the cli don’t clip
Looks clean man! Quick question what made you run a square setup instead of the oem staggered setup? I’m looking to buy a new set a wheels but this is making me question on what setup to run.
Brooo. The truth …. Cause I was cheap and didn’t want to source 2 and 2 wheels. These were a great deal. And i was on the fence about making a vid whether or not you should go square but your comment makes me want to make it. I don’t regret going square at all. The only thing is the rear looks a little tiny bit tucked. Extremely subtle and nothing a spacer can’t fix.
@@EddieGS350 haha its all good man im looking to get a square setup just bc i really want these one set of wheels but i heard you can lose a bit of traction/performance im still deciding right now. But a video would be helpful to a lot of people lol!
@ tbh watch my lightweight wheels and also watch some wider vs less wide videos. I also thought I was gonna lose traction but I really think the quality of tires make a bigger difference than the size. Also the lighter the tire/wheel the better the acceleration and stopping power when not going 98% throttle which is like most of the time so might as well get the lighter set up.
Love the Jollibee! Not too many GS mod options here in the Philippines.
I’m going to the Philippines soon 😁😁 cool I have people watching from there. Salamat.
Having a side by side, or at least edits showing the GS comparison would go a long way.
Ahh man. I wish I did. I got the car as a loaner when the GS was at Longo. Side by sides would’ve been good. Thank you for the feedback.
