I fitted the same cardo to my neotec3 last week. Great idea for the wires where the battery goes. I also cut a small part of the cheek pad looks good
Great helmet, i have been so happy with it. My cardo just keeps on going, had it for years.
Put some s/s pins in with balls it will clean the primer pocket
cheers thanks for the tip
ok cool, so that line you had made specially is my buggered one, so it's good timing that they'll know exactly what to make for me. i'm up to the 8:17 mark where you're talking about the threaded block, i drilled mine out same as the stock one, makes life so much easier
heya mate, thanks for the video, the timing is impeccable. just about to embark on my 2011 with this job. i'm writing as i'm watching the video, were you concerned at all that the lines going to the ABS module still have some rubber hosing in them? the line going from the rear brake caliper line up to the ABS unit on my bike was damaged, sadly wasn't part of the kit but the guys are going to make me a custom line for the rear brake ABS lines. but yeah... wasn't sure if it was ok to have full braided lines on the bike but still have a little bit of rubber brake line near the ABS unit
Brilliant video and 10/10 for your lighting!! Now I know what I need to do.
Glad this could help and thanks for watching my video.
This is really interesting; I've got the Shark Spartan as well, and went into the shop to try on something new for the next one...and also came away thinking that the Shoei was the better one for my head. And of course I have a Cardo (Packtalk Bold) - great to see you explaining it, thanks!
I had to go through the same thing with my neo Tech three. Not only do you get the boom mic, but you do get a new glue plate. Try to get that thing as far forward as you can or it could be awkward trying to reach the controls. One thing that I did do to get more of an even stick, was I added another layer of VHT mounting tape. Heated the crap out of it so it conformed to all the nooks and crannies.
I had to go through the same thing with my neo Tech three/peacock edge. Not only do you get the boom mic, but you do get a new glue plate. Try to get that thing as far forward as you can or it could be awkward trying to reach the controls. I'm waiting for the custom glue plate for the neo Tech three for the Palk edge. They already have one for the neo Tech 2
sooo good sound, what are these exhausts? how much are they ?
Brand is Delkevic, about $570
Any chance of video on changing spark plugs on ninja 1000sx
Not as yet, but have been thinking about doing one.
Wonder if it’d be ok with the hard saddlebags. Would hate for it to get too hot.
As in the Kawasaki hard bags? Yes I use them on my touring trips. No issue at all and the exhaust has plenty of clearance.
@@bikesandbits1000 yes. I have the 2024 ninja1000sx with hardsaddle bags from kawi. I recently traded my 2011 1000sx for this one.
Will this fit with a R&G tail tidy ?
Not sure on the R & G. Someone previously commented the tail tidy they had wouldn't fit but not sure on which brand it was.
Hello With this givi kit, is it possible to keep the original Kawasaki side bags? Thanks also for the great video.
Thanks for watching. Yes with this Givi Kit I can still attach my genuine Kawasaki paniers , all at the same time, and I have done long distance journeys with this setup.
Now you gotta do a maccas drive through and eat a cheese burger....because modular helmet!
I saw the guy who reviewed the ALDI helmet do that...classic.
I have a 2019 ninja 1000sx. U think it’s pretty much the same process?
Yeah it will be very similar
Nice sound, not to loud great for touring 👍
Thanks for watching.
Should've shown how the mic was put in

Fun fact - Kawasaki service manual for the first generation says not to tighten their oil filters by hand, and to use a wrench, saying "Hand tightening of the oil filter cannot be allowed since it does not reach to this tightening torque." which is 17Nn or 13ftlb. I fully intend to ignore that and go by hand anyway, but just thought it was interesting.
Hi, I pressed interior lock button and it pushed itself inside the cavity on door where window switches are. Does that panel pry open? There are no visible screws. Thanks in advance!
I haven't taken that one off as yet (haven't needed to as yet). If still under warranty Mitsubishi should be able to assist.
Thanks Bike and Bits for another wonderful video 🌈
Cheers thanks for watching
Thanks for posting as I'm about to do the similar with a Cardo Pactalk Bold. Especially like the method using the rear compartment to hide the connections. Cheers
Glad I could help and thanks for watching.
Hi @krusty9407, I'm writing you from Germany. I am in the same situation as you are and want to mount my Packtalk Bold to a Neotec 3. Have you been successful installing the microphone? Because mine sits more in the middle on my old Neotec I and not as far on the side as shown in the video. Thanks Matthias
Hi Matthias, I'm very happy with the way it installed in the Neotec3. The microphone fits nicely on the lefthand side and tucks away neatly in the chin area. Works perfectly. All the best.
Where do you get that button for the light bar?
Search on Ebay for - LED LIGHT BAR-Dashboard Control Switch Button For Mitsubishi Outlander GM/GN/ZM
hey just a quick question after doing the Lams test can i just wait 3 months and do the most test and get a big bike without buying a lams bike ?
Ma il kit andrebbe bene per il modello 2017.
You would need to check into that as they are different models.
Do have any idea on how to remove the a pillar to remove the corner front dash speaker!
Sorry I haven't taken that part off. Normally it is a few clips but cannot say with any certainty on this.
I know obviously the video was sped up slightly, Realtime how long did it take? Is it easily done for someone who’s only done one exhaust on a zontes 125u before?
Give yourself a few hours then. Better to do it slow and get it right than trying to rush it.
I always fill the filter a couple of times to soak the element through with oil and then fill the filter up and then screw it on, never had a problem with the oil light going out.
Thanks for the video, I had to rebuild the back end of mine because it was missing the whole backend when I bought it, looks great now.
Glad I could help
hi i have a chinese bike called "jiajue n10" being that its 5 years old no parts are available for it (very chinese of it) but it seems the footpeg assembly which is broken on mine looks exactly the same on a cbr250r would it be a hassle to send me measurements between atleast 2 boltholes for me to check?
Sorry, since doing this video a year ago, I have since sold this bike so can't do an measurements.

Ever look into using the Speedohealer that goes with it from the Heal tech company? When I got my wiring harness yesterday I noticed that it wants to plug into the same speed sensor. You foresee any issues in doubling up the connection down there?
No I dont think there are any issues, if memory serves correctly (but please double check with Healtech), you can daisy chain the connectors - one into the next into the next etc
Uses stainless steel pins instead of ball bearings it cleans inside the case and also the primer pockets. Cheers
Hey man, did you find that the exhaust hanger mount didn't quite line up? Mine is a bit crooked, I'm concerned it's putting stress on the header bolts
Yeah I think it was , but I moved it around a bit and eventually got it straight.
Thank you for this video! Those 2 hidden screws gave me a headache for a while. Instructions still don't mention them. Very useful video!
Glad it could help. Thanks for watching
Do you guys know if F6Z-N has the same plugins and wires colors?
The bike I am working on in the video is an FZ6-N (2008 model)
I have a 2009 model and I didn't found this white plug in my bike :( Acc to the description on the box, indicator which I bought should fit 2009 model .. do you have any idea if Yamaha changed the wiring or plugin types in model 2009 ? Thanks in advance for any tips and suggestions.
@@trusteemedia No, the 2009 was very similar to the 07 & 08 models. I think they changed the seat but wiring was pretty much the same. Is there a plug perhaps in a different colour that looks the same?
I figured it out already. I guess I don't have those plugs because my bike is with ABS. I think I need to find a different set.
@@trusteemedia Yea FZ6 with abs does not have that 3 pin plug to "speed sensor" so... you get signal from abs (white/yellow), rest are the same so power supply & crankshaft sensor.
Thanks for the video, very informative. I have a R&G tail tidy fitted, do you think if I could still fit the rear rack and still be room for the indicators? Thank you
I have seen a few where it worked, not sure if it was the R & G.
Is this same for 2024 N1Ksx?
I dont think it is changed since 2021, but you would need to double check.
Extremely clear and concise; thanks!
Thanks for watching
thanks mate for this. i had to put my sons bike back together with the brake pedal and this helped immensely mate.
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
Those connectors where you tap into the brake light are crap! I never use them. And the connectors inside the box are also crap! Don't ask me how I know. Tried to fix them repeatedly, but never succeeded. At the end I ran the wires in a plastic tube along the the bottom, up the front over the hinge, and along the underside of the lid. Italians suck at electrics!!!!!
The millions of screws weren’t enough to hold down the air box , they had to add that clip? Lol Thanks for the video if I had more space and tools I’d may try to do myself but for now it’s going to the shop when this needs to be done
Thanks for watching and the reply.
This video really helped me with the right connection cables. 👍
Glad it helped
Where did you get that bracket that mounts on to the fender and holds your exhaust up? I bought and exhaust and it needs one of those
All the parts I used were supplied with the exhaust kit. Check with the supplier if you are missing a piece.
Thank you for this video....this tumbler is much cheaper than the ones mostly used by shooters...one question, have you considered using steel pins instead of the steel balls...i think your primerpockets will be cleaner using pins ...all the best from the Netherlands
Glad you liked the video & thanks for watching. Yes I have considered using the steel pins, probably will change over to them one day.
Stock?
Yes they are the stock handlebars
Thank you !
Thanks for watching.
Brilliant, thank you. I only opened you to read because, after removing the initial 4 bolts, I was stumped. The 2 screws clinched it. Very poor manufacturer’s instructions! Again, brilliant thanks.
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
Cheers 👍
How do you store the balls?
