    I love the caterpillars you made Hannah! They’re adorable! Everything you show is always beautiful and interesting. You’re right, it’s always good to be thankful for what we have. I often see things that other collectors and UA-camrs have and think wow. The button bracelet was a wonderful find. I think I would feel more comfortable changing the chain and perhaps converting it into a necklace. Great video and I loved your special four legged guest.😊❤❤❤

    Hi Hannah! Great video. Sweet co-host! The bugs are so cute! I like the locket necklace; very dainty. And the dragons breath is beautiful. I love finding special things like that unexpectedly. I found a saphiret (sp?) ring at the thrift store and I couldn’t stop looking at it for a long time. It was something I hoped I would find one day, and I was so happy to get it. The ring was in terrible condition. I put it up for auction on UA-cam sort of hoping it wouldn’t sell, but an amazing woman scooped it up. The quartz necklace is so cute. I have some necklaces I need to re do, and I love those endcaps. You may find pools of light yet. I’ve found them twice, both for incredible prices because no one else knew what they were. I ended up selling them both. I’m hoping to find some again- fingers crossed! Amazing bracelet! I would wear it a couple of times before making any decisions. I’d temporarily add a safety chain while I was wearing it, just in case it decides to fall off over a concrete floor. It’s hard not to be a bit envious when seeing other people’s hauls and collections. I suppose it is like everything on social media, where people mainly show the good stuff going on in their lives. I hope that makes sense, LOL.

    • @Hannah-FleursDeMontagne
      @Hannah-FleursDeMontagne 6 днів тому

      That’s amazing you’ve found the saphiret and pools of light pieces! I’ve heard of several people finding them for great prices now so I will keep the hope alive lol! I’m blessed to have found two saphiret pieces, and then once I knew about the glass realized I had some cabochons in my stash! I still need to make something with those. That is a great idea about the safety chain, I was definitely worried about hurting the buttons while wearing them- thanks! I totally get what you mean about only seeing the “good stuff” people show. It’s not realistic at all. I got a bunch of ugly stuff as well 😂 Thanks so much for watching Elizabeth!!

    Love the caterpillars you made. Please share how you made them. Jason Adams did a vid on buttons yesterday. Pools of light is a bucket list item for me. • @awenasa
      @awenasa 17 днів тому

      @@Hannah-FleursDeMontagne There are pros and cons to using guitar picks. They come in great colors and patterns and stack well, but because they are generally thin, acetone can sometimes "melt" into the pick causing some loss of thickness. An easier way to get that stacked/layered effect is to use an old vanity tray that already has a few layers of different colored celluloid.

    Thank you so much for this content! I have about 500+ single earrings I have set aside from bulk buys to 1) try to find their mate one day, and 2) to sell. I like how you explained the different categories of lots. I took some good notes! Love it! Thanks. 🙂

      You are so welcome! I’m so glad this was helpful to you. I also was hanging on to single earrings thinking one day I might find the mate but the odds are pretty slim 😂 Thank you so much for watching Debbie!

    These beads that you purchased are so lovely. I love how you called them JUICY! I think my favorite necklace is the one that has the sunset colored statement bead! Just stunning! 😊

      Hi, @@Hannah-FleursDeMontagne Ive been a fan of all varieties of international beads & been an amateur beadworker, since ( gulp) 'waaaay back in the mid 1970s when I encountered my first original old African trading bead up in DC/ Virginia area. (My career has been reference librarian, prior to the Internet being avail to all) I own about 4 different thick & informative reference books about beads from all different areas & cultures. @@Hannah-FleursDeMontagne I'm glad it might be interesting. I hope the books are out on my current bookshelves instead of packed in a box. 📿📚 Since you're interested, Ill try to locate them tomorrow ( Tues) I'll write you back either way & tell you, if I can find the info: titles/ dates etc

      @@Hannah-FleursDeMontagne Hi again!! It turns out/ it seems that some of my books on this topic might be packed inside unmarked cardboard boxes ( moved from one apt property, across town, a few years ago). I did locate three of them. I've listed some (partial) publishing info below. One ( " Bead Embroidery") was bought in a fun secondhand store , vintage even at the time I purchased it. Even the visit to that bookstore was quite a number of years back. # 1: (Joan Edwards, author, 1966) Bead Embroidery. Taplinger Publishing Company #2: Author: Geary, Theresa Flores. The Illustrated bead bible: terms, tips & techniques Publisher Sterling ( lists publisher hdqtrs in both Canada & UK) 2008 approx 400 pp. #3: Author: Stanley, Isabel [New Crafts] Beadwork [ "New Crafts" was evidently a series of volumes, about very different activites. Title search might begin w/ phrase "New Crafts" or might be just "Beadwork". Publishing data page isn't esp clear about what librarians call the "Main Entry" for this book / Library of Congress data.] Publisher Lorenz Books c. 1997 My copies of all three of these are hardbacks. If pbk editions were published, they would have different years and could even be from different publishing/ printing companies. I hope this is fun & ideally might be helpful for you. Cheers!! 📚📿😉 ldt, jax, fla

    These are all so pretty. My favorites are the cobalt/purplish Murano necklace, and the candy-colored Indian beads. You nailed it, "juicy" is a good adjective for that string! I also like the faceted teardrop shaped ones. They look like they would fluoresce. Have you shined a black/uv light on them?

      @@MistyAtSkeeterJones Misty thank you for reminding me! I normally hit the UV light on most things I receive but forgot and you know what? Some of them did fluoresce! That should help me identify what kind of stone these are now because I’ve been pretty stumped!
